I made a purchase through their website a couple years ago and this year in July and August they put fraudulant charges on my account for 69.99 each. I have disputed it with my cc company and filed a complaint with the BBB. It is impossible to speak with anyone in this company, they do not answer phones,e-mails or anything else.

This is a fraudulent company that put over 200 in fake charges on my credit card. My bank/credit card company returned the money - but now I know other people who have had the same thing happened to them, and their bank is not giving back their money.
The have some sort of communication they send to your bank (but not to you, they don't respond to your complaints at all). If you see this on your credit card immediately call your bank and cancel your cards as stolen.

I made 1 purchase from ClassicCloseouts in December 2003. I have been charged 79.99 in July 2008 (which I disputed) and another 79.99 in August 2008 (which I have also disputed). I attempted to call the company and the first time the phone just rang, no message or voice mail. I called again and received the message to call during their hours of operation.
My credit card company reversed these charges, but sent a letter from ClassicCloseouts/Thirdfree stating that I had signed up via email for some kind of membership. This is completely false. I have never signed up for any membership that comes to me unsolicited. The charges appeared on a credit card that I no longer use, so I knew immediately that these charges were FRAUD.
This is time consuming to deal with these dishonest people. Time wasted trying to contact these people to resolve the issue.

Charged 69.99 on credit card for a service referred to as third free. Apparently an email was sent that I agreed to they had my credit card number on file and charged my card 69.99, eventhough they state only indidviduals who deal with 3x's annually were targeted to the best of my recollection never dealt with the company. Charged back through credit card company sent a dispute letter tried to contact someone numerous times through out the ordeal never to get an answer or response.
Trying to pay down debt constant 69.99 charge reappearing on card, charged back at least three times, four with the dispute, taking a lot of my time to try and fix or communicate with the the company.

purchased items 1 year ago and they started billing my credit card 10 months later for purchaces that were never made. I contacted my card company and they keep putting doing credits and then turn around and recharge me. Even changed my card number and they still continue to say I am making purchases.
Went on line to classiccloseouts fraud and you shold see the complaints I am not the only one there are lots. This is fraud and its big!!! No one really knows for sure the addresse.so please help us all
This has been upsetting to think people can just steal your money thru a credit card co. and months of my time to try to fix it and can not get it resolved and lots of money.

I, too, found a series of unauthorized charges from ClassicCloseouts/Chadwicks et al on my Visa Card over a period of several months. When I called the company I was told that my name was not even in their system. And there was no record of me having made any purchases. It wasn't easy and one man was very unpleasant, but fortunately my credit card company reversed the charges after I filed a signed fraud complaint.
Then After I was issued a new credit card number I began to feel safe. But last month it happened again! I don't who or what or where these apparently crooked people are, but with all this fraudulant actvity they should be put out of business and probably put in jail!
A lot of worry and a lot of time and energy.

I purchases some children's clothing from Classiccloseouts 6/20/08 and received the product without problems. Later on my credit card invouce (same card as which I used to purchase the clothing) two charges showed up 79.99 on 7/30/08 and 69.99 on 8/13/08. I clearly did not make those two purchase amounts. I called my credit card company and placed a dispute purchase.
As of 11/01/08 Classiccloseouts sent my credit card company a letter stated that I agreed to a ThirdFree membership via email. I have NEVER heard of that website and I NEVER would have signed up for such a bogus thing in my life. Now my credit card company has placed the charges back to my card. Here I am back to the drawing board.
I have tried calling Classiccloseouts so many times to always get the same recorded message and I have emailed the company so many times to never get a valid response from anyone. I tried to view the Thirdfree website and it has a failure problem, obviously a bogus site. I am not going to give up. Classiccloseouts and Thirdfree must be penalized for these horrible things they are doing to so many people out there. This is wrong and we need to stop them.

I found classiccloseouts.com from shop.com and placed and online order in August, 2005. When I received the clothing from classiccloseouts.com, all the clothing was defective. Then I called their customer service for return authorization number and follow their return instructions to return the merchandises by each order number. The company never contacted me in any way, and I have to call them every month and email them to inquire about the return status. They always say their return department was very busy, and when they receive and process, the information will be posted on my account. I keep checking my account every week and keep calling them every month, but nothing happens. they just want to delay as long as they can until I cannot do anything to get my money back. I called my credit card company but too late, it's over 90 days. I returned 8 orders totalling 2,071.36, and they only refunded 1 returned order for 195.84 to me in January, 2007. They still owe me 1,875.52. I sent my case to a collection agency in October 2006. They passed my case to a third party to collect, and the agency told me the classic closeouts.com was a very bad company. They have what seems a normal return policy, but they just don't give your money back.
It's cost me another 161.90 for shipping fee to ship those junk clothes back to classic closeouts.com and spent so much time to make phone calls--not to get my money back. It turned my life upside down for over two years. Still very upset!
