Central Coast Nutraceuticals

Lori of St. Louis MO (02/27/09)
I was going through my credit card statements to see if CCNNUTRA had ever refunded my money. I saw they did only once.

I ordered the trial sample from hoodiawater.com (as seen on 60 Minutes, and Oprah). (Also, watch what happens when you try to X / close the window. You get barraged with live chat people that don't want to let you go) It was a 30 day trial period then, and now it says it's a 14 day trial. First of all; the hoodia water did absolutely NOTHING. Three of my friends, and two co workers tried it also, and NOTHING. As my Mother had recently passed away, I had to leave town to go resolve some probate issues. I left on the 27Th of June, and returned on the 14Th of July. I can verify that with my receipt from United Airlines. Upon my return, I picked up my mail at the post office. In it, were two envelopes with 2 bottles of Hoodia Water, one in each. I then checked my credit card statement and saw that I was charged THREE times already.

I called them the day I got home, (July 14Th) and explained I had recently lost my job due to taking too much time off to take care of my Mother, and that she had also recently passed away. And I had been out of town taking care of some probate issues. I explained this to them, and they didn't care. I called them MANY times. They all just said; Well, that's too bad, you're passed the 30 days, there's nothing we can do for you. All we can refund is the last charge. I called my dispute department customer service, gave him all the information, and he investigated it. When he called me back the next day, he said that because of the way their terms and conditions are written, they (my credit card company) wouldn't dispute any charges except the last one in July, because It WAS within the 30 days, and also, that I had NO legal leg to stand on for recovery of any other funds they LEGALLY absconded with.

If you don't LOOK for the small print at the bottom of the page and read it, he said: By the simple physical act of clicking on the ORDER button, you legally agree to the terms and conditions. THAT'S their loop hole, and they supposedly DON'T have to give any one's money back, and the customer service people KNOW that. Even though (if you look at the DATES on my charges) they absconded with my money arbitrarily! So, I've just come to notice HOW MANY people they are taking advantage of. All because of some shifty, creative attorney, that wrote an iron clad terms and conditions disclosure, (according to my credit card company) they have LEGAL license to screw over EVERYONE! And they do! They are VERY rude, and you can almost HEAR the smile on their face when they get to tell you There's NOTHING we can do. The customer service people know the terms and conditions disclosure verbatim. THAT'S how they make their money!

They got me for 128.75 total. I only recovered 44.90 in total. At the time, I just dismissed it, due to my own stupidity, and a crafty attorney. Here is a copy of my credit card charges, most of them under different names, but the same phone number: (The first two are in the SAME billing cycle, and there was only 16 days in between my second and third charge! And NO ONE can do anything about it?

I ONLY RECEIVED ONE PURCHASE ADJUSTMENT FROM THIS COMPANY: I DIDN'T GET IT UNTIL DECEMBER! 7/28 PURCHASE ADJUSTMENT -44.90. I should have only been on the hook for the 12.90. Not to mention the HOURS of my time spent on the phone. At least 10 hours total, by the time some one actually handles the call. Your credit card company makes sure you've done all that you can do by calling them to try and resolve the issue before they will get involved. Had they(CCNNUTRA) waited the 30 days before charging my card again, I would have been within my 30days to request an RMA (return merchandise number of sorts?) And I would LOVE to see these people out of business.

On 1/20/09 I purchased a trial of AcaiPure and was charged 4.95 for shipping and handling. Today my bank account was deducted 39.95 which will not allow my mortgage payment to go thru. 2/11/09 I spoke with Billy at CCN in AZ and informed him of this. He said that if 39.95 is going to make your house payment bounce then I would not have ordered anything from the internet!! I asked him if he was aware of all the complaints this company has against them online and he said anyone that agrees to the terms and conditions online and proceeds with an order has no merit with him. VERY VERY RUDE. I have cancelled my debit card and am disputing this charge thru my bank. These companies are a scam.

Funds will not be available for my Mortgage payment to go thru.

I have the same story, different dates. Free trial for Colotox, paid 4.99 for Shipping Only, now unauthorized charges 44.90 from CCN*CCNNUT 8886928352 AZ Unable to contact company on permanent hold, cancelled credit card, reporting fraud to bank. Raw raw deal. I didn't receive until long after the Trial period. No way I'm gonna swallow one of these supplements. They are made by crooks.

We have 2 toddlers, we work hard for our money and can't take a hit like this. My wife is livid. A tough thing to encounter, during hard financial times. We count every penny. I went for the colon cleanse to save medical costs.

I ordered their product Acaipure for a free trial period, I just paid for shipping. Then before my trial period was over and after I had canceled my autoship membership I was billed again for 39.95.

When I checked the website they said that it was to be billed for the free trial bottle. What is free about that. When you offer free except for shipping then it is at no cost except for shipping. Not and then we will bill you 39.95 later for your free bottle.

Bought 4.95 free trial of Bromalite. Now being charged 29.95 for a FIT-FAC.com membership that I DID NOT agree too. Am finding dozens of complaints regarding this. They are using dozens of product names and seem to be charging a lot of different amounts. Arizona AG has filed a suit against this company. I have filed a complaint with them. But there seems to be so many people being scammed by this place, please help us close them down.
