Jan of Kaneohe, HI August 13, 2009 Unlike many people who order things off the internet, I DO read everything in the fine print. I was in the process of filling out my information to order the "free trial" (which I knew would not be completely "free"). Only after one fills out all their information including their telephone number and credit card info. do they get to the new information about automatically being charged for more products and a membership to a fitness club. I NEVER checked "I agree". In fact, I even went back and deleted my credit info. and tried to get off the web site. I was presented with further questioning ("Are you sure...?") before the site would let me go. They kept offering a better deal. Each time I declined. The next day, however, a Bromalite representative called me and said my order was on the way. I said, "NO..." but never got another word in. The lady started yelling at me and then hung up. I returned the call two times, and each time a recorded voice said, "Goodbye" and hung up on me. They would not let my phone be answered!! Carolyn of Newton, TX July 31, 2009 Based on a recommendation from a health food website, I did the Bromalite free trial. If you canceled within the 12 days, you would only be charged the 4.95 shipping. I canceled but even before I canceled I was charged 34.95. That was on 7/8/09. I called to find our where my refund was on 7/21/09, was first told my credit card was never charged. Then finally got them to admit that they did, they said they would issue a refund. Would take up to 12 days to issue. As of 7/31/09 no refund, called them, said a computer glitch rejected my refund request, they did a manual request today, would take 2-12 days to refund. I saw a 29.95 charge yesterday from Fitness Hub. Called them, they are related to Bromalite. They admitted that I never ordered the service, but they sent a letter telling me they were going to charge my card in 15 days if I didn't cancel the subscription. Since when can a company tell you unless you cancel something you didn't order that they are going to charge you? That sounds like a crime to me. I am going to pursue this with the Texas Attorney General and the US Attorney General. To say the least, I am very angry and concerned that this company is doing this and getting away with it. Michelle of Silver Spring, MD July 29, 2009 Ordered the trial size bottle at 4.95 on June 25, 2009 and then canceled. I received a phone call a week later to confirm the order and told the man I had canceled the order. Two weeks later I received a repeat phone call and I reiterated the account was canceled. On July 29, 2009 I discovered a second charge of 82.35 for Bromalite. Two phone calls to the company supposedly has gotten me a reimbursement of the second charge, but not the first. I was told there was no one above the supervisor, Tyson, that I could speak with and no other refund would be made. Victor of Clementon, NJ July 29, 2009 Ordered product, did not open, received second order, returned both, June 2,2009 delivered @ 5:10 PM, Riverton, Utah 84065 to MBMF CALLER SERVICE. The items were signed for by J. Sparks. I've made several calls talked to Valerie, Jessica, Dominique. Made contact with Supervisor Lisa and was told to call back if refund did not show on my account. Again waited the twelve day waiting time to process. Now no supervisors were available. I was hung up on by one operator. Giggling girls on return call. Appears to be a total scam with no recourse. Financial hardship. Thanking you in advance if you can help. Jennifer of Watkinsville, GA July 21, 2009 These people piggybacked in off of AcaiBerry. I sent back their products and they will not refund my money. They are a bunch of thieves and liars. I have called so many times and told so many lies. Everyone should beware and never believe you will get something for nothing. I thought okay since it is 4.95 I will try it. As a result I am very sick with reflux and IBS. AcaiBerry were great they refunded my money as soon as I called them. Trying to get my money back has made me very sick as well. They hit my account four times @74.85 each time. 02/17/2009-03/03/2009-04/02/2009 and 05/04/2009 I just want my money back. Marilyn of Olympia, WA July 10, 2009 I ordered their trial for this scam for 4.95 and I received it about 5 days later. The product made me feel bloated and gross so I threw it away. I was traveling and didn't have a chance to cancel the trial and then I had a charge on my debit card for 69.00. I also had a charge for 29.00 for some "online fitness club" that was part of the scam. I got that refunded but have not been able to get the 69 charge refunded. I called my bank and cancelled my debit card and now I know better than to fall for something like this. They need to be put out of business and thrown in jail. The number I've listed is the number that comes up with the credit card charge. I cannot find an address for them. What a suprise. Susan of Tampa, FL June 18, 2009 This was a free trial of a weight loss supplement. I authorized the shipping fee of 4.95 for the free trial only. There was nothing that I saw when I signed up for this that told me my card would be billed for anything else. I didn't even see how many days the free trial would be. When the product arrived on June 5th, there was a small line on the packing list that said the free trial was for 12 days, but they sent me a bottle for 30 days. After taking the product for 10 days, I found that it was worthless so I contacted the company (June 15, 2009) to see if they wanted me to return the unused product. They told me to keep it and keep taking it to see if it started to work. Then they told me the trial period began 3 calendar days from the order date of May 29, 2009 therefore I had to cancel by June 12, 2009. They told me I had agreed to this but I did not see anything when I was ordering the product that explained this. I did go back to the e-mail confirmation I got after I ordered and it does have a fine-print section at the end of the e-mail that explains these terms but there was nothing as I was ordering that showed this. I told the rep on the phone that I had canceled within 12 days of receiving the product and I demanded that he not charge me any additional fees. He said it had already been charged and I would not receive a refund. I called back and spoke to another rep named Jasmine who, after speaking with her supervisor, told me that they would issue a refund to me but it would take approximately 10 days to get the refund. She gave me a confirmation # for the refund. Then I did some research on the internet and found numerous complaints against this company. I checked the Better Business Bureau and found this company has an "F" rating and I began to doubt if I would ever see a refund, so I canceled my debit card on June 15th in hopes that the charge could be blocked, but it came through anyway on June 17th. I contacted my bank and they advised me to dispute the charge even though I was promised a refund so they can monitor the situation. I am faxing the dispute form today and I will also file a complaint with the BBB. To prove this is fraud, the confirmation e-mail shows in big bold letters on the first page that the product will be shipped within 2-5 Business days. Then the fine print on the last page of the e-mail states the "free trial period" will begin on the 3rd calendar day from the day the order was placed. This makes it impossible to complete the free trial in time to cancel. I hope I get my money back. charles of ST PETERSBURG, FL June 18, 2009 Got ripped off. signed up for a free sample for shipping of 4.25. Got the package, read the fine print and found out they were going to start charging me 80 per month unless I cancelled within12 days. I called immediately, cancelled got a cancellation #, sent the product back immediately, signed receipt. Then 6 days later My account got debited for 29.95 by a company lifstylefit.com, 800-957-6988 that I had never heard from. I called them and they explained that they were a bonus "add along service" that came with my bromolite subscription. I got angry and they agreed to refund my monies immediately. 19 days later no refund, so i filed a fraud claim with my bank and now have to in and close my account and open another one because they say they cannot stop any further debits from this company or any other that Bromolite wants to sell my debit card info to. It is a total scam and fraud, theyshould be closed down and sent to jail. This is as bad as a mugging. joanie of appalachia, VA June 6, 2009 Gave credit card information took money that wasn't approved. helen of los angeles, CA June 1, 2009 i saw the product on line and it said free trial only 5.00 for shipping and handling so i enter my credit card # but after i finish the application and submitt it it said in fine print that i will be bill monthly for joining the shopping mall, i then call and spoke with a woman that said her mame is cornelia the supervisor and explain to her that i do not want to become a member she assure me that they will not bill my credit card because i call in before the 14 days, how ever my credit card was bill twice for 69:99 in march & april 2009 i try to contract them but evey time i call they say that i need to find the company that is billing my card and that know one by the name that i have given to tme work there, i try to contact the company this morning june 06/01/09 but i got the same run a round Report Your Experience
