So I placed an order with Birth Designs at the beginning of December 2009, expecting to get an order confirmation from them shortly after that. I so far have only received a confirmation from PayPal that they received my money. I have emailed them 4 times so far and called once to find out if they got my order and the estimated time of start or completion for the item I ordered. I am not getting any response to any of my attempts to contact them.

It has been a month now, and after some research, I found this is not the first time this has happened. Apparently, someone else has been waiting since May 2009 to receive an item from them. Umm, 7 months to receive a hand-crafted item. OK, this is sad. I am going to wait a few more days for a response then I am going to pursue a refund through them or through PayPal.

Thank goodness, I at least paid through PayPal, so there is hope of getting my money back. But I am extremely saddened at the thought of not getting the item I ordered. I hope they get their stuff together and not drag their personal life into their business. It's not cool.

I found the add in Parents Magazine. I thought it was a great idea. I went ahead and placed an order online in May. It said that it takes 4-6 weeks. After about eight weeks and still I have not received my necklace, I contacted Bonnie. I received and e-mail which stated "Please note, we had a server crash on 5/10 which resulted in a 2-week loss of data. We're getting it back up as soon as we can, but your current status may not be reflected online if you ordered between the time of 5/1 and 5/14."

So I gave her a few more weeks. Once I tried to contact her again, I received an e-mail giving a long story about how her husband told her that he was leaving her for another woman when she was in the middle of giving birth. I felt bad for her. I waited another month. I e-mailed the company again and was working with Sarah. She told me that my order was lost in the computer crash and to give her the information and she would get it on the forging bench. Now it is November and they will not return my calls or e-mails. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

I ordered a necklace 7/18/09 and it is not 10/10/09 and havent received it or heard anything about it, when you call the number no one ever answers the phone and you cannot leave a message because the mailbox is full. I have told them I want a complete refund of $78.00 and have yet to see it or get a response.
