Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I bought power steering pump and paid $75.00 core charge. I returned core same day, I installed and rebuilt pump. The core was returned in same box to above address as directed in online instructions. Return core request no. 192929 was on all six surfaces of the box. When I did not receive the $75.00 core deposit after many weeks, I called the number given and was told that I had to provide a tracking number. I no longer have the mailing receipt from the post office. I do not think that it is my responsibility to cover for their screw-ups in the receiving of cores either, if indeed it is a screw up. After looking at the list of complaints, here I am now more inclined to think that non-return of core deposits is part of their business model. It has now been a year and I have not seen my money.

I placed an order on 3-1-09. When received, we found out we ordered four of one part and only needed two (item #171661) Call Auto Parts Giant. I reordered the new part and received a return number. I sent the two items back via FedEx, have singed PODs from FedEx that AGP has received my return. I have called and sent email on there website, called again and got a new email address to send my info to. Nothing ever came about. I called again and got a new phone number to try, always busy.

Oct. 2007 I purchased Brake calipers with a core charge. I returned cores thru the U.S. MAIL SERVICE. Autopartsgaint.com says they never received them. This is after many attempts to get a Return goods number. After speaking with three different people at customer service, I could tell this was not a legitmate bussines.

I am writting this now because I have kept the file open on this bussines, to remind me to never do bussines with these crooks again. never got my core money or cores back worth $40.00

I had made purchases with this company in the past and things went well. On May 29th, 2009, I ordered from them a king bolt set for my truck. After a month of waiting I called them and was told it had not been shipped yet. That very day they removed $48.69 from my bank account and e-mailed me that my order has been shipped. Several weeks later I called to find out what happened to my order, and they told me that the e-mail message they sent me was a mistake and that the part was no longer available and I would soon receive a refund. I waited, and waited, and called again and the person answering the phone told me to wait while he talked to the manager, then he came back and told me that my refund was coming soon. No refund yet.

I sent them an e-mail indicating that I was beginning to feel that I had been defrauded, and that I need to get my money back soon or I would be taking this up with the appropriate consumer protection agencies. No response. So I have begun my quest for justice, and was advised by someone working for the CA consumer information center to google this company before contacting the attorney general's office to see if there is a pattern of complaints that match up with mine. There sure is, so I'm pursuing this by any avenue available. She also advised me to do this kind of check on any company before I do an online purchase. I wish I knew. I thought people got arrested for fraud. These people have been acting with impunity.

I bought a window motor in Sept. of 09, paid $199.50 for it, the part never came. After countless phone calls and e-mails, I got nowhere. It is now Nov. and I finally got an e-mail saying that my refund was credited to my credit card. But still waiting. I don't think it will happen.

i ordered a part on june 24th and on july i got an email stating the part is out of stock and they are not reordering them and i have been waiting for a refund since july. it is now nov.

I ordered a set of plug wires, they were wrong, contacted Robert, he supplied a RMA#, I returned thed wires,

he promised a refund, stated it was mailed via USPS on 4Sept2009, I contacted them via e-mail on several occasion, have not received the refund as of 10Oct2009. They refuse any further contact. Disgusted/dissatisfied.

Ordered the part. Unlike most people that have dealt with this company - actually got the part. Tried to send the core back - called - no answer. Company has been sold and new proprietor won't accept the core or refund my $60

On May 18, 2009 purchased several parts for $600. Received parts except for shocks and struts. Company stated they credit my credit card within 8 - 10 business days. 3 weeks later no credit. Contacted the company for the next 4 months. Customer service reps have not provided me with an answer on why I have not received a credit. The supervisor and manager do not answer the phone and do not return calls. On August 28, 2009, supervisor put a statement in the system that the issue has been resolved. As of September 28, 2009 I have not received the part or credit. Filed complaints for consumer fraud with the California Attorney General's Office (www.ag.ca.gov), the Better Business Bureau (www.la.bbb.org), and the Internet Crime Complaint Center in partnership with the FBI (www.ic3.gov). STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

i ordered a part from them 3/09, i did receive the part but it didn't match what i had, i then sent the part back according to a jon's instuction. i waited about 3 weeks to call because i had heard nothing from them. first they said they didn't receive, so i tracked it and fed-ex told me that they had received the part---- so from 4/09 until now(9/23/09) i have been making numerous phone call, being disconnected alot, talking to all different people--mark,greg,emanuel,all saying that refunds had to go thru jon! i have been promised my refund numerous times , never receiving it--- just today i talked to a mark who said he talked to jon personally and my refund would be posted pending in my account tomorrow (yeah right!)----- also something else is not right, the web sight you get now has a different tel.#,the people that i talked to in the past are not known there, and they don't have a record of my order #, also jon doesn't come up in thier directory?

I ordered a water pump and paid for 2nd day delivery since I was leaving town in 6 days. The part arrived the day after I left - a week after I ordered it. I had it sent across the country - opened it to find it was the wrong part. I sent it back according to their guidelines - after several months and emails - I have yet to receive a refund. About $150 and lot's of wasted time...

I purchase a fuel tank from this store for 329.26. it was the wrong part. on June 15, 2009 I shiped the part back. was told it would take 2 weeks for refund on card. I called today was told the some thing. out the money to get fule tank

On August 17th, 2009 I ordered a Truck Part form Auto Parts Giant in the Amount of $80.71. After 10 days had passed I contacted the company to let them know I had not received the part and asked for a Tracking #. The Company contacted me back by e-mail, stating the order had been canceled on August 22, 2009 per the Manager named Robert. I called the company, spoke w/ Emanuel, and asked when I could expect my credit issued? I was told in 3 Business days.

After this time came and went I called the company again and was told it would be another 10 business days due to processing, and I could expect my credit issued to my bank account, by 9/9/09. The credit was never issued. I called the company on the afternoon of 9/9/09 and was told it would be another 5 days, that the Manager (Robert) has been very busy. I asked to speak to Robert, but was told he was unavailable and was sent to his Voice mail. I left 2 detailed messages for him to call me, but he did not do so.

I called later in the evening and asked to speak with Robert again, and not to be sent to his voice mail, that I would hold. Emanuel replied that Robert could not come to the phone, and buy me continuing to call was not going to get me my credit issued any faster, in fact it was only going to put Robert off in sending my credit to me. I asked for an explanation, and tried to explain that It did not need to take this long in issuing a credit, and I knew this because I have worked for Financial institutions before including A Bank and Credit Card Company, I was Mocked at, "SO What" and Laughed at by employees evidently listening to my conversation with Emanuel, "saying so what, yeh right a Finance Company", with continuous laughter, as to be indignant, and to blow me off without any regard.

I couldn't believe it! They were so rude and and un-concerning to anything I had to say. My last statement to them was, I was going to file a complaint against the company for their disregard, and of taking money from me, that was obvious they had no intention on returning. This made no affect to them

These guys took my order and immediately "banged" my credit card without shipping, without any communication.

After two weeks , I complained to my card issuer, and AutoPartsGiant lamely said the part I ordered was out of stock, and a credit would be issued.

These guys are robbers - plain and simple. I am still eaiting for my $125.71 credit. They are not going to get away with this.

I ordered a Cardone ECM for my Camaro. A
Standard ECM was sent.
The security seal on the unit was broken. It was shipped in an old fruit juice container box.
The ECM was defective.
I tried to contact Autopartsgiant by phone and by E mail several times for sending the unit back. There was no return information in the shipping container either for the defective unit sent or for my "old" ECM.
Auto parts giant refuses to acknowledge my request for return information or to resolve this.

American Express has paid Autopartsgiant $360.34 and now expects me to pay them.

Called this company and placed an order for parts. After being hung up on over 3 times, I finnally got my orderin. They took the money from my bank card, and received an email confurmation that parts were shipped. After 6 days, nothing, called company and again 9 call hang ups. After getting in, they were very rude. Now it is over 15 days, no parts, no money returned. Lost $150.00 and still no parts.

I ordered a hydraulic pump on January 2, 2009. i paid for the item through Paypal. The part was defective, so Auto Parts Giant gave me an address to send the part back at, They claimed as soon as the defective part was received they would send out a new part. I waited over two months, calling on a weekly regarding my part. Every time i asked for a tracking number or speak to a manager, they would hang up on me. In April after begging a pleading over the phone one of Auto Parts Giant associates told me that the part was not available. The associate said he would have a manager sign for a refund and my account would be refunded immediately. Well it has been almost three months since then, i have called 47 times!!! With only broken promises that i will receive my refund. I Don't know what to and feel absolutely powerless. Please help me get my $354.40 dollars back.

as made my purchase thru web everything is fine. soom as i changed to private browsing, the usual checking on web my order doesnt exist. now hav to check paypal see if my id went thru and check for possible id theft

I made a Visa Debit purchase by phone from the above on 4/22/09 in the amount of $168.40 and as their website promised,i received no tracking numbers,i wasnt allowed either to log onto my new account w/them either via the password they sent me. I called them,i was very polite too,and they just kept hanging up on me,5 times in a row, they are heartless. I finally got manager J. Sinclaires voicemail and he called me back the next day surprisingly enough, he said the hang-ups from cust-serv where actually disconnections because of construction up the street, he then assured me he would get to the bottom of my tracking numbers that didnt excist for some reason and that my order was probably lost now as well.

He never called the next day as promised and cust-serv when i tried to get some answers from suddenly started suffering from construction up the street phone difficulties again and kept hangin up. I have e-mailed them and was finally allowed to log onto my account for that one day only which showed order shipped, still no tracking numbers somehow? So i sent yet another e-mail and received a short reply which read "package shipped".

Finally on May 6,i get a call from someone named John,he wasnt John Sinclaire, but whoever he was he said that "I have some bad news, UPS damaged your package so they're sending it back to us, and it would take 90 days to back-order, so we're refunding your money, back into your account, it will take 2-3 business days".

Well here we are on this 12th day of May 2009, no money, no nothin, no explanation. They still have no idea what happened with anything, now i can add $168.40 to the list. On the phone they are so rude and just disconnect me, but i have still remained very calm w/them,they are who they are,and i wont change who i am due to their full lack of respect.

Ordered parts for timing assembly ie. belts, rollers...Didn't receive them for two weeks although my credit card was run through the same day. On receiving I discovered only one of two idler rollers was sent, a water pump I didn't order and not for my car, seals for a buick crank,a thermostst housing for I don't know what. .

Upon calling I was puton hold with a voice telling me they were really trying to get to my call, which I heard three times before the connection was terminated unexpectedly. I then e-mailed the company, and received a reply from "Jon Sinclair" (who I wonder if even exists), asking me to call the number given above, with the same results. Many minutes of waiting on hold, never talking to anyone, then disconnected. Wish I had seen all the complaints before I ordered.

Cancelled a parts order on 4/3/09.On 4/6/08 $$ taken from our account. I have made several attempts to receive my credit thru emails and phone on 4/8,4/14,4/16/4/21/4/23. Phone is 5-30 minute wait time. On 4/8-4/16 I was told my credit should appear in 3-5 days that the account did show cancelled on the 3rd. On 4/21 my wife called and was responded to rudely and shortly it was hard to hear George (the customer service person) over the background noise. She was told the order was cancelled on the 8th due to a 90 day backorder. Our credit would appear end of week.

She called again to verify and was told there wasn't a BO not sure where the person found that info and he would submit a request to finance to have it investigated. She asked if an email or phone could be sent. Verified account # and contact info. Wife called again on 4/23 order was cancelled on the 3rd takes 3 days to confirm cancellaltion, and then 3 days to receive credit. She asked about the 6 days, customer service said maybe 8. He did see where there was a request to investigate the account was submitted on the 21st. She asked if we could receive some confirmation of status. He said they would let us know as soon as they had investigated in about 3 days. He said it would have been credited to someone elses account or our bank or cc co may be holding it in which case we need to contact them.

We are waiting for $140.32 to be put back in our account. Bills are due and we are supporting extra family members at this time.

I followed their online method to return 2 parts...they were not correct for my car. They ignored the online request for return auth. numbers. I called and they gave me a return auth. #. I shipped the parts back via USPS with delv. confirmation. 5 weeks later they have still not refunded my money for those 2 parts. I have called them twice and each time they take down the USPS delv. confirm # and put me on hold, then come back on to say, yup, it's all in order, that I'll get a refund right away. Never happens.

I have now started a charge dispute with AMEX. I also asked AMEX to consider dropping them from being an approved AMEX merchant. DO NOT USE AUTOPARTSGIANT.COM

Searched online for best price on brake parts, AutoPartsGiant.com was %20-%30 cheaper than everywhere else. Ordered $220 worth of parts - database said they were available and would arrive in 5-8 days. Two weeks later, still no parts so I called back. After finally getting through the rep said they would provide a tracking number. Day or two later received a email stating parts had shipped (but no tracking number). Waited another week, still no parts.

Called again - order was not really shipped - but in fact canceled. No notification was given about when it was actually canceled. Bank credit not received. Told that my order would be reviewed by their finance dept to find out why I wasn't credited and I would receive an update email. Waited 2 more days, no further update received and still no credit. Filed a dispute with my credit card company who is providing me a refund. Hopefully enough disputes come in that visa/MC revoke these crook's ability to do business.

Wasted a month of my time.

2/4/08 Purchased power steering pump. 4/22/08 paid USPS $11.90 to return core. 4/24/08 RGN# was received. I was told my charge card would receive $90 posting in 3 to 5 days. The company strung me along till I lost the time to have the Credit Card company intervien for me. I've made many calls every month. they are checking into it, or they say we allready paid you, and will look into it. It is now Jan. 2nd 2009, and no refund!

The part purchased is still working, and Still making phone calls. I might have to buy something and apply the $90 to it.

On Nov 28 at 10:00 am A order was placed with Auto Parts Giant. On 12/8/08 at 6:20 pm the part came but only contained one of the items ordered and the the ordered part was damaged. I came home and found the box at the porch so I could not inspect it when delivered. Within hours of getting the delivery I called and made workings to return the package and report that only half the shipment came. I was told that the other half of the shipment might becoming later.

I waited and to this day the other half of the shipment never came. I called about the shipment I received on a regular basis and was told no information but to just wait. The ups tracking said Auto Parts Giant got the package back on 12/15/08 so I called to gather information about the order but was given the run around for two weeks. it is now 12/30/08 and when I call the operator puts me on voice mail or transfers me to a phone that rings but nobody picks up. Which makes me write this complaint.

I have a lite truck that has been sitting for over a month that needed to be used. I believed the sales pitch that Auto Giant had fast service and good customer care But its been a night mare. All I ask for was some information on the products I wanted.

In May '08 I purchased some auto parts from this firm online. One of the items had a $75 core return charge, after replacing the part I was to return the used part to them and they would refund my $75. I have had much correspondence with them, in a phone conversation they acknowledged receiving the returned core and told me my credit card would be credited. To date they have not return my $75.

I am out $75, not a big deal but autopartsgiant has deceptive marketing practices and does not honor their written word.

Placed an order on 5-12-07, # 1935350-for $326.16. Web site states that tracking numbers would be issued by 5 days. Did not receive any items or tracking numbers. Called on 5/28/-7 and was told order was processing and would be complete by 5/31/07 called on 6-4-07 to get tracking number was told that the order was still in processing. Tried to cancel and demanded refund. Was denied a refund and they would not cancel the order.5/18/07- placed an order # 1935545 for $70.62.. Cancelled the order on 5/18/07. Did not see a credit to my account, called on 6/4/07 to ask about the refund, was told that the order was in process and they would not cancel it. I explained that I cancelled the order just hours after I had placed it, and had not received a refund. Was denied a refund and they would not cancel the order.

$ 396.78 charged to discover card not refunded..

I ordered (order # 1914391) 2 door jamb switches for my 1989 Ford Probe. My credit card was charged $30.38. I received an e-mail saying the order was forwarded to the manufacturer (Motorcraft) for drop shipment. I waited 2 weeks and received nothing. I e-mailed Customer Service asking what happened to my order and never got a reply. Knowing that all parts for Ford Probes were discontinued with Motorcraft a few years ago I went to Motorcraft's website and entered the part number. Sure enough it came up Part no longer available from Motorcraft.

I called AutoPartsGiant.com Customer Service and told them everything I stated above. They said they would look into it and call me back. I gave my phone number and asked when I should expect a call. I was told the same day or the next day. I never got a call. Every time I've called Customer Service since then (5 times) they asked for the order number, I gave it to them, they said hold on a minute and hung up on me.

I was charged $30.38. No merchandise received. No refund received. A lot of time and aggrevation spent trying to get my money back.

Saturday March 25th I ordered a computer off of autopartsgiant.com (ID 105221). On Tuesday March 28th I called to confirm when it will be shipped and was told two weeks. I then asked the salesman to cancel the order which he said he would do (unfortunately I did not get his name). To make certain the order was canceled, I also sent an email (the same day) requesting order 105221 for customer 583846 to be canceled. Two days later the website still recorded my order as New, so I sent another email requesting the order be canceled. Again no change or response via email.

So on April 5th, I sent a third email requesting cancellation. Convienently, I received a reply that same day indicating the order had been shipped and it could not be canceled. April 7th I called the distributor again and was told orders are filled in 3-4 days not two weeks and that I could not return an electrical part for a refund. The salesman also said he could not find any record of my first two emails (of which I have saved on my browser). No where on the website are the shipping times or cancellation policies stated as I was told over the phone.

The timing, lack of information and false estimates I was given are suspicious. It is almost as if the intention was to not cancel my order so they would not have to refund my charge (since I used a check card). Worst case scenario, had the order been filled in 4 days it should have shipped by March 31st, which it did not. I then filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (ID 98103058) to resolve the situation. The company responded in an insufficient, pre-fabricated manner. No adequate result was reached.

I spent a total of $308.84 on this part and next day air shipping. In the mean time I had to purchase the part elsewhere, thus I have no use for the one from autopartsgiant.com. Additionally, this distributor does not allow returns on electronic parts, thus I can not get a refund. As a college student this is not an amount of money I can afford to lose.

In the beginning of March this year I purchased a remanufactured car computer worth $190.52 with tax, plus $70.00 for the core totalling $260.52. When I recieved the computer, I installed it in my vehicle, started the car and everything worked fine. I shut the motor off, restarted the car and it wouldn't turn over, the computer had malfunctioned. I called the store and told them my problem and they said that I have a (1-year warranty) and that they will be glad to send me another one as soon as they recieve back the bad one at no cost minus shipping charges. (Aaron) who was the Rep. I was speaking to said that it would be faster for me if I were to just buy another computer and when they recieve back the bad one plus the core he will credit me back for the 2nd purchase and the core minus shipping charges, so I agreed.

Well, I shipped back the bad computer along with the core on March 14th with UPS and they recieved it on the 16th. They have a 15-business day credit return policy posted on thier website. I also asked Aaron if I needed a return number from him prior to shipping back the (2) items and he said it wasn't needed, gave me the return address and said to put to the attention of Aaron, so I did. I waited thru the 15 days, checked my bank account to see if theres been any credits posted (none from them whatsoever). I called their office spoke to Aaron and after answereing some questions he researched my purchase history and said he remembered recieving back the (2 items) and then told me that he will forward his and my request as to why I haven't recieved credit yet.

He said theres nothing he can do on his side and that it was the accounting depts. job. I asked if he can connect me to that dept. he said no, I asked if he can give me their number he said no. I asked if he can talk to his boss or that dept. and call me back, he hesitated and by the tone in his voice (I knew he wasn't going to do anything) he said he would call me at a certain time in the afternoon, he never called me! I have called and called back since then even talking to other people and I would get the same treatment, going as far as even saying to me that the credit dept. will email me within two days and that I should recieve my credit within those two days or so.

I searched for a separate phone number to call like a corporate number but that is the only number available. The parent company is called EMART.INC. but guess what its the same number. Also, the other name they go buy is the Autoparstore with the same number (even if the websites show a different number it will direct you to the same people). It is now April and nothing yet has happened.

My loss of $260.52 is tremendous to me as I only recieve social security as my main income.I even told them that (but who cares on their part).

On September 26th, 2003, I Purchased a set of Ignition wires, a Fram air filter and a gas filter online from AutopartsGiant.com. After 2 weeks when I didn't receive my order and I heard nothing from them as to why my order was delayed, I purchased my order from a local store. When the order finally arrived I refused delivery of the package at my door. After contacting AutopartsGiant informing them of what took place.

They said I should not have refused the package because they drop ship packages from all over the country. However, they should be able to locate it and credit my account within 7-10 days. To make a long story short, after 5 months I've spoken to several different people including the supervisor, John, all promising the situation would be resolved. Never-the-less, i'm stuck without a refund and nobody returns my emails to customer service anymore. Mike

I'm stuck without a refund and nobody returns my emails to customer service anymore.
