John of Grayslake, IL November 3, 2009 I am a musician and a studio owner. I completed 2 CD's in the last 2 months and had 800 Duplication do the duplicating of both. The first one went off flawlessly. I could not be happier. The second one was horrible. I bought a run of 300 with artwork, jewel cases and CDs. So far I have had 3 CD,s that work out of 100 opened. I have sold 40 which, so far, I have to replace 30 of them. I was on the phone with 800 Duplication every working day for two weeks, telling them of this. At first they seemed attentive, although they tried to blame my master copy. This would be impossible because the errors on my duplicated CDs were varied from one to another, leaving out a master copy problem. They finally stopped blaming my master. I finally sent them 2 bad copies, (overnight for 50 dollars), and when they received them they said they were fine. I asked them to try the CDs in a car or computer they said they did. This cd is an hour long, between the time they received the cds and the time they told me they they checked both of them was about 25 minutes. I don't think they checked very hard. As of last Monday. 10/26 they told me they would duplicate 50 for me for my CD release party 11/7. I said that would be great. They said they would ship Friday 10/30. I said great. I called them on Friday and they said they would complete the CDs but that's all they would do. They would not do any more. Leaving me with 250 coasters. I have gone over this entire situation in my head and have come to the conclusion that there is not one thing I have done wrong. The owner of the company refused to talk to me. There is a girl there, her name is Aicha. She was incredibly nice and helpful. By the end of this ordeal she was crying and stressed out so much she wanted to quit. Her boss, the owner, was constantly screaming at her and would not talk to me. I have to get this CD run redone to the tune of about 400 dollars because it has to be a rush job. I have hired an attorney and my credit card to get the money back. Although I doubt that will happen. Report Your Experience
