Sensa Weight Loss

Valencia, CA

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I ordered the product that was supposed to be charged on my card one month later. It was charged immediately. I called the company to complain and they offered a discount but would not refund the full amount of my money. They only said they would refund half. I wish I would have read these reports before ordering.

Ordered the trial program for $7.95 on 28, Dec 2011. Have not received product as of 6, Feb. 2012. Fortunately, I had my debit card changed 3 weeks after initial order so they were unable to charge me the $89.95. Tried to call customer service repeatedly and could not get more than a recording. I am sure, I will not get my money back since nobody can be reached.

I bought Sensa for free trial and they ask me if I want for 3-6 months' supply on discount price. I said no to that and I said I only want free trial of Sensa at this time. They send me free trial but now they are asking another $ 98.00. They send this account to a collection agency and now I am getting harassment by this company and phone calls from them.

I can say that Sensa is misleading the public and fraudulently charge to people's credit cards, including harassing people by their collection agency's calls and if you try to call them to solve this, their phone number are not working properly. Please look in to this matter and take strict action against this company.

I ordered the 30 day free trial and all I had to do was pay $4.99 shipping and handling. I placed the order online and used a debt gift card the had $5.00 still on it. I received the product and found it was worthless. No weight loss at all. Now many months later, I am receiving calls from a collection agency trying to collect $89.00. When I contacted the agency to tell them, I paid the shipping and handling and this was a free trial they said Sensa charges $89.00 after 30 days. I told the agency this was a scam and I would not pay a dime.

I got ripped off too. I thought I was just paying the $4.95 for a sample. I was very careful reading the agreement because I did not want to get ripped off. Sure enough there is a $90 debit to my credit card. I called the phone number and was left on hold forever. No one picked up. After reading everyone's posts, I guess I shouldn't even bother to try to get my money back. Class action lawsuit is in order. I'm game!

After reading all the complaints from the consumers, I tried calling Sensa at their 1-866 number to let them know that they have charged my account $89.95 since 12/11/11 and I have not receive the product as of 1/8/12. I am worried that I have paid for something I will never get, or worse, it does not even work. This company's owner should be charged for false advertisement, with the intentions of stealing from the consumers. What can we do to stop this type of company from ripping off consumers? Please let me know.

I heard the ad for Sensa on the Radio and called the number for the trial. It was an automated system that didn't give you direct options to say yes or no to the items they were offering. I kept saying no, but unfortunately, my accounts was still charge over $40 for something I did not want. It has been 2 weeks now and I still have a hold on my account. When I called the customer service, they apologized but continuously tried to get me to stay with the program. I called Sensa to loose weight and instead I've gained a headache.

This company and Dr. ** are total crooks. There is no return address. You can order all you want, but don't try to find any customer return category on the website too. Don't buy this product. You would be better off cutting off an arm to lose weight, than the pain and expense of this fraudulent business. KS AG has several complaints already. Dr. **, run, ** run. Maybe you and Bernie ** can be roommates. I got ripped off. Never "try" anything for "free". I'm sure the Enzyte people have taught Sensa how to work the crowd.

I ordered the free trial. I had to have major surgery so I called and said I wanted to return the original trial totally unused. They sent me information on how to send it back along with a reference number. I sent the package back and purchased a signature validation of return from the post office. Three months after returning the package, I was charged $89.95 and told that there was nothing I could do about it because they never received the package. What a rip off. I paid almost $100 for nothing.

This company dupes people. "Free" trial is not free and they make it impossible to make a return. I am not usually or easily fooled, but I was this time. Shame on Sensa. I'm out of $89.95 that I never agreed to pay!

I made the mistake of beginning a transaction through this website before they sent me the e-mail explaining their entire program. In the e-mail, there were added terms to the agreement. They stated they have a 30-day free trial and you only pay $4.99 shipping. When I agreed, they charged double and then said they would continue to charge $89 every 60 days unless I canceled. I would have to send back the product I didn't use and pay for the shipping. I've been duped. I tried to contact them to stop the transaction and got cut off. When I went into the account to cancel the "agreement", they kept trying to have me pay the entire price for the product at 60% off to avoid having to send back the product. They are tricksters. I feel very taken advantage of. I will be filing complaints with every law entity to get sanctions against these crooks.

I came home from a business trip to a letter from Sensa about my continuing use of their product. I immediately called them on July 5 to inform them that I did not receive the trial product I ordered for $9.99 and if they can refund the item since I was leaving again for another trip and would not be back for a few weeks. Jerry told me that was fine. A few weeks later, a debt collection agency called me to pay them $89.95 for additional product which I did not receive because I thought it was cancelled. After calling them back, I was told I was charged because I called after 30 days which I informed them that I could not call before because I was away and did not know the product was not delivered.

The post office informed me that the company should fill out a form stating that the customer did not receive the package which per the post office was insured. The company stated that it already said "Delivered" and transferred me to collection wherein collection transferred me back to customer service, stating that they would have to handle it. I spoke with Melanie in customer service who stated that she will transfer me back to collection and stay on the line to talk with them. She transferred me without staying on the line and collection stated that they have to transfer me back to customer service.

Overall, the company never refunded me back the $9.95 that I paid for the trial which I never received, and now, they charging me $ 89.99 for continuing products which I still did not receive when this should have been cancelled since July 5.

I ordered the free trial, i did notice that i would get charged more later on. So I did the online chat thing and canceled any future charges or shipping to me. 3 months later, I saw a charge pending for $89.99, called this time and surprise(sarcasm) my cancellation was never noted. So I told the girl, I want nothing give me my money. She said it was taken care of. 2 days later they took the money leaving me with $35 overdraft. I told them I would get people together, talk to a news channel, report them to BBB and sue for my full refund. They gave me the $89.99 back but not the $35 overdraft. So I went to the BBB and I'm waiting for their response. Do not order anything from them, they will keep charging you.

I ordered this on a "Free Trial" and called within the required time frame to tell them I was not satisfied and to cancel the order. I requested a return authorization which was never sent. They charged my credit card $89.95 for the product. I did not see it in time and the credit card company will only allow me to contest a charge within 60 days. So guess I need to go back to Sensa for a refund.

I cannot get an address to return my Sensa. Nothing on my package in order to return. I need to return within 7 days of getting an RMA number that I asked for on Saturday, 10/08/11, but they did not give me an address and I did not realize that I could not find it online or anywhere on the packaging to return. I will not get my refund of over $200.00 if it is not postmarked within the next 4 days.

As the rest of the people complained , I am so sorry I have fallen for such a scam. Let's team up and file a law suit against this nasty company and their fraudulent product Sensa.

I have made six calls for over three weeks to get an RMA number on a trial of Sensa. No one has answered and I have been on hold up to 2 hours. I work and have a life outside of sitting on a phone waiting for customer service. Since then, my card was charged $89.95. I am still calling them and still got no response. I am calling my bank to investigate, and to ensure that if they should attempt to charge my account for another shipment after I have now cancelled, that the charges be declined. This company does not respond to RMA. I am sure this is a scam.

I canceled my order with Sensa and they are still charging me. I don't want the product. The automated line says that they are closed but the hours are Mondays through Fridays at 7 am to 4 pm and it is 9 am there, why aren't they answering? It also says on their website that an order can't be canceled via email. Hmm? I sent my email through a different question and they don't answer back. I have contacted my bank so that they can investigate.

Shortly after receiving and using the product, I developed kidney stones. My doctor ordered me to discontinue the use of the product. I went online and canceled my subscription and the auto ship. Well, to my surprise, it didn't go through on their end (how convenient) because a month later, I received a shipment from them. Well, that prompted me to look at my account, and lo and behold, they have not only charged me the $89.95 once; they charged it twice!

When I called and spoke to them, I got nowhere with the first person so I asked for a supervisor (Georgia - wouldn't give me her last name). She kept saying that I didn't cancel in the allotted time (which I did, but they didn't show it) so she could not reimburse my money. I told her that I did and I could produce a medical note if needed but she would not hear it.

Finally, after constantly telling her that I wanted to speak to her supervisor, she finally agreed to give that RMA number and take back the second shipment. But they would not take back or give me money for the first shipment. This is a scam! This is the worst customer service. I am disputing this with my bank. Please do not order this product because it is not worth it. They will just scam you!

I returned the product during my trial period and 2 months later, I found a charge on my CC. They claimed that they never received it and asked for proof that I sent it. Well at that time, I was in the process of moving and I lost my receipt. I didn't get tracking and I'm not even sure which post office I took it to since there are like ten between work and the two places I stayed. They said they can send me a replacement and I said why, it don't work. Then they said they can give me half refund then when they get it, they'll refund me the rest. Very disappointed.

I ordered the product, and am embarrassed to have fallen for such a scam. Not only does the product not work, but the customer service department is absolutely horrible. The customer service representatives are rude. When I returned my product, I paid extra for tracking, and I was able to prove they received the junk back. They denied receipt of the package until I provided them proof of return. The product is a scam, and the customer service representatives know very little if anything about what customer service actually means. Please don't waste your hard-earned money on this junk product. It does not work, and I guarantee you will not receive 100% of the money you spend. Not only do they not credit you for the outgoing shipping expense, but you have to pay out of your pocket to return the product. So if you do order, the one thing you are guaranteed to lose is your money!

I had exactly the same experience as Phillip ofHagerstown, M.D. Sensa is now calling saying I owe them $89.95. I also e-mailed them after the 1st shipment and told them I didn't want it anymore. That was ignored. I had to put a stop payment to Sensa on my credit card to keep them from just keeping on charging shipments on it. The third shipment I return to sender. It caused a lot of trouble and money for nothing.

I started using Sensa Slims on a Sunday and immediately started having gas problems (expulsion). Three days later, I thought I was having a heart attack as I had terrible gas pains in the left side of my chest. It turned out to be gastritis. It stopped as I stopped the Sensa.

After sprinkling this product according to manufacturer's directions, my inner upper lip was horribly burned. I got a fever and intestinal issues. My husband experienced the intestinal issues and severe tingling and burning of his tongue. I contacted ShopNBC and they basically ignored me.

I received Sensa on Oct. 14th started on 15-21st and was admitted in the hospital on Oct.22-26th with extreme stomach pain, vomiting, lightheaded, lost of balance and increase in blood pressure. The doctors checked me from head to toe and could not find out what the problems was. I was released on 26th started using the Sensa again on the 28th in the morning. By the evening, after dinner I was vomiting my guts out. That tells me my hospital stay was from Sensa. Be careful what you order. I'm on my way back to the hospital.

I tried the product for three weeks. They advertise about proven weight loss and you just simply sprinkle it on anything- But when you get it, they send you exercise and a sensible calorie meal plan. You cannot simply sprinkle this on pizza and lose weight. Lol! Everyone will indeed lose weight if they exercise and follow a reduced caloric intake program. What a frigggin' scam! I immediately thought when I opened the package and read the contents and watched the video, however, I gave it a real try to get me motivated (after weight gain from thyroid problems).

The product however left me with a very bad dry awful feeling in my mouth and I actually found myself craving "sweet" items late at night even though I have always craved "salty" items. I think I only opened up the "sweet" side of the shaker less than 10 times in three weeks. Lol! But bottom line with me, I gained 4 lbs. in three weeks on these sprinkles and when I tried to "print" a RMA return label, my computer locked up. Have no return label and now I have to dispute with my credit card company if I cannot resolve this during their normal business hours. What a crock of crap, me thinks! Btw, I am indeed happy if it really has worked for others.

After mostly remembering to sprinkle Sensa on my food for two months, the inside of my mouth and tongue started to feel like they were burned. The skin inside of my cheeks scraped off and my tongue developed white spots. I was able to cancel any future orders, but I still have most of the effects until the third month. This was not a very nice side effect.

The Sansa product was advertised on TV. I liked the idea and went on-line to check out the product. A free 60-day trial was offered for $4.95, which I ordered. After receiving the conformation e-mail, I noticed at the bottom that in 30 days they were going to charge my account $89.95 plus shipping and handling. And that is to continue every 60 days after. I called their phone line at 866-5142554 to cancel my order.

Now comes the part I did not like at all. I was put on hold after 10 minutes exactly. I said in to the line, just like I figured, another cricket outfit. The same instant, there was one beep and a person came on. I explained that I could not take Sansa, it would interfere with my medication and I need to cancel my order. I was given a return of product number and to return the product within 7 days. Another problem, I did not receive the Sansa as of today. The whole outfit smells like a big scam to me. Because if I don't return the Sansa in 7 days, then I can not cancel the order.

The consequence is that I would have to change my debit card number if a charge from them comes in. My bank is 160 miles from my house and I would have to do it in person. I hope you can stop them from cheating other people.

Ordered an initial 30 day free trial of the product for $7.95 and was not initially told of the $89.98 auto billing 30 days later + another $7.95 for shipping and handling. That detail was conveniently left out of the initial sales and marketing pitch. Now I have to spend another $8.00 to ship the unused portion back. What a rip off and deceptive advertising. A lot of time and effort wasted to return product, and handle the refund process.

I subscribed to the 30-day free trial which is not actually free. If you don't return the product, they do charge you an additional $89.95 on top of the shipping fees of $4.95. Unfortunately, I was not shipped the beginning month and shipped only month 2 of the first "installment". I was not actually aware that I was using month 2 until after the 30 days. I called Sensa inquiring if anyone had side effects from using the product as I was having lots of headaches and nausea. I was advised that there were a few cases reported and I was advised to stay with it and start with month 1 which I had not previously received.

I received it and continued to try the product out. Unfortunately the headaches and nausea continued. I called Sensa customer care and was advised that they would give me a credit of only $45 for the first "installment". I received the next shipment and received an RMA number for it. I don't think that I should have to pay anything since it was their fault that I did not receive the the correct shipment and the 30 days ran out in between. Besides the fact that I am out $45 and have not lost a pound, I have actually gained weight since starting the product believing that I could actually eat anything I wanted.

Sensa Weight Loss double charged me for a single shipment. There was no answer on toll-free number to cancel or return. No option on their website to request return or cancellation of future shipments. Scam! I lost $89.95.

I thought I was ordering just one month of Sensa for $4.95. A second month was to be sent free, however, I was charged the $4.95 twice. I was upset and told the company I would be returning the product. I refused the package and had it sent back to the company. Then I was advised that they would not accept any packages back that had refused written on them. I called to say I wanted to cancel my membership, just to hear that unless I sent the product back, I would be charged another $89.00.

This is such a scam job. They make it impossible for people to cancel with them. I am so upset and disgusted. They have caused me to get all kinds of bank fee charges for being overdrawn. What can be done with these people is what I want to know. My bank won't refuse payment to them, and I don't know what to do. This is just what Sensa wants. I have been charged exuberant bank fees because of this company, and I am very unhappy with their little scam.

I saw the free trial offer, went online and read all the information. Then I filled out my name/address/phone for the free trial portion to be sent. The minute I submitted that information, the next screen popped up saying I needed to pay $4.95 for S&H, so I logged out without completing any thing further. Within 24 hrs, I received a call from them offering not only a free trial but 2 months free just for $4.95. I questioned the woman in detail and she said that $4.95 was all I would pay for the two months' worth.

So I gave her my credit card. The minute she had that information, she reviewed the "order" and said within 30 days of shipment of my 2 months worth of Sensa. I would be billed for $89.95. I immediately said that was clearly not what I agreed to at all and she replied that she told me about the $89.95 before I gave her my credit card. That was not at all true. I told her that and said to completely cancel my order and I would not do business with immoral bait and switch companies and again clearly said cancel my order. What do you know, but 3 days later I receive the 2 months order and my credit card is charged $4.95.

I disputed that with my credit card company and they said I had to call Sensa and cancel. When I called Sensa, they said I had to return the box at my cost via UPS/Fed Ex/USPS with a delivery tracking code, which costs more than standard mail. If I did not do that, they would continue to bill me if they didn't receive the package. I was furious. When I called my credit card company back (they are a great company), they said to do exactly what Sensa told me that they were having a lot of these scams come up.

But, if I didn't follow the Sensa company's instructions, the Sensa people would keep the scam going. But if I returned the box as Sensa required and gave my credit card company the package tracking number, then my credit card company could refuse to let them charge my card again. It's so infuriating that even though I did place an order, they sent it anyway and now I have to pay to return it or be dogged by them.

I ordered Sensa to see if it would work for me. After a couple of weeksof being on the product I noticed the inside of my mouth and the surface of my tongue always seemed to be raw or inflamed. With every application of Sensa on my food, the irritation or burning sensation got worse. After about 4 weeks, I stopped using Sensa. I reported what had happened to the company - and was told nothing more than "I'm sorry that happened to you". The auto shipment for the 2nd month had arrived the same day I made my complaint. I returned the 2nd months supply, for a partial refund and told them I would never purchase the product again. That was back in March of 2010. It is now almost July, and I am still unable to eat ANY type of food that doesn't make my mouth feel like it's on fire! Not only does it burn, but my mouth has visable markings on my tongue and top lip where the Sensa burned my mouth. Every time I eat - those areas turn very red and feel like they are on fire.

I'm beginning my 3rd wk using SENSA and I have lost 14 lbs. I've also cut back my caloric intake by a considerable amount. At first I was hungry and could tell nothing. I still cannot tell anything. I have cancelled my trail but agreed to pay for the $89 supply. I have lost weight. The bottom line is that the product got me to think about what I was putting in my mouth and when the lbs started coming off I liked the results. This week I add exercise to my program so I hope to continue results.

I ordered their trial offer for Sensa in Oct. 2009 and never received it. Also they have nev responded to my inquiries as to why? I lost a little bit of money; I don't think companies should be allowed to slide by on this type of scam behavior. This was my first on-line purchase. Unfortunate.

I ordered a trial sample of this product for $4.99, but was unaware I would be charged an exorbitant price later for the initial portion of the product. Once I had received the first batch, I was informed -at the bottom of an e-mail - that I would have to send it all back within 30 days, or I would be charged an additional $89. There was no Money back Guarantee, so by the time I was able to try the product properly, it was too late to get a refund. There was no mention of the $89.99 charge when I ordered the trial package.

The unexpected charge resulted in an over draft fee from my bank in addition to the ridiculously high price. I tried to cancel the second batch, but they had already charged my card again and refused to cancel the order. Now I have to wait another month to get the second charge refunded - IF they accept the return.
