Consumer Dispute? Try a Little Name-Dropping

Companies will sometimes back down rather than take on a bigger adversary


Ranting and raving may make you feel better but it won't necessarily do much good when you're locked in a consumer dispute.  Sometimes a little strategic name-dropping is what's needed.

For example, when she encountered problems getting an unauthorized charge removed from her credit card, a consumer from New York found it helped to do a little name dropping.
