Ford Recalls 2008 E-350s |

April 16, 2008
The National Highway Traffic Administration (NHTSA) reported that “the drive shaft may have been manufactured with a slip yoke that has cracks.” The drive shaft flaw can reduce performance below design specifications, according to NHTSA. The safety agency warned that over time the slip yoke could fracture without warning, allowing the drive shaft to separate from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. Ford dealers will inspect the E-350 drive shaft and replace it free of charge when the recall begins. Owners may contact Ford at 1-800-392-3673 or NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153).
