Ford F-250, F-350 Super Duty Trucks Recalled for Driver Seat Flaw |
March 7, 2008
Ford reported that the weld connecting the driver’s front seat back with a bracket can crack. Because of the faulty weld, the vehicles do not comply with federal rules for seat back strength, according to the automaker. The recall covers F-250 through F-550 Super Duty trucks. More than 87,000 of the trucks are in the U.S. and 14,000 are in Canada. No injuries have been reported because of the faulty seat, according to Ford. The automaker discovered the issue after receiving reports of the weld cracking. Owners will be notified of the recall later in March and con contact Ford at (800) 392-3673. Report Your Experience
