Apples new version of its iTunes software, introduced last week, is drawing a number of complaints from users.

Apple says it has taken notice of the complaints and is working on a fix. But the company suggests the problem is not widespread.
Apple is aware that a limited number of customers are experiencing issues with installing iTunes 5, company officials said in a statement. We're working to resolve this and expect to have a software update early next week.
Among those who say they have experienced problems, many complain that installing the upgrade simply causes their computers to crash. Others say they can successfully install the software, but cant then transfer music to their iPods.
They also say the new software can interfere with other programs on their computers and delete existing playlists.
