Chrysler Recalls 489,000 Vehicles

The Chrysler Group is recalling more than 489,000 vehicles including some models of the Jeep Liberty, Dodge Durango and the new Dodge Avenger sedan.

Chrysler is recalling 328,424 Durango SUVs because of the risk of overheating linked to an integrated circuit in the instrument cluster of the vehicles.

The recall covers 2004 to 2006 model year Durango SUVs, according to Chrysler.

The automaker is also recalling 2008 model Dodge Avenger sedans because of a problem with the door latches on the new cars.

And, Chrysler is recalling 149,605 Jeep Liberty vehicles, made between 2006 and 2007 because of air-conditioning glitches.
