By Dan Schlossberg January 27, 2007
Located in the core of the Big Apple, the upscale property is marking the fifth anniversary of Apple's iPod by providing guests with digital music devices and services. The hotel has even created a new position -- playlist concierge -- to cater to visitors seeking mood-soothing tunes while on the road. Technology upgrades at the Westin have made it possible for guests to download musical favorites on Apple iHome H5 units provided by the hotel or Apple iPod docking stations that work with a Bose Wave Radio. The new technology has been installed in rooms classified as superior deluxe, executive club level, and junior suites. Spa-inspired guestrooms have it as well. The hotel features 124 executive club rooms equipped with Apple iMac G5 computers with wireless mouse and keyboard -- making music easy to download. Musical choices range from Beethoven to Barry Manilow, with special playlists bearing such titles as Relax, Broadway, and New York, NY. Report Your Experience
