Jet Blue is selling off $25 one-way fares to and from the Big Apple and the Hub to customers who order tickets before Oct. 20 and travel between Nov. 8 and Dec. 14. Regular rates to New York will range from $40 to $120 each way. The discount airline says it will triple its roster of flights out of Boston by April 2006. It's hoping to build a loyal customer base by adding cheap and direct flights on routes where many locals take the bus or Amtrak's Acela service. The expansion coincides with the addition of the Embraer 190 to Jet Blue's fleet. The new jet has 100 seats, carries 100 XM Satellite Radio channels and is more fuel efficient than many other aircraft, the company said. "We will add one more gate at Logan every six months over the next three years, and we will take delivery of one new E190 aircraft every 20 days in 2006 and 16 new Airbus 320s next year,"said JetBlue's CEO David Neeleman.
