Southern California Moving and Storage

Temecula, CA

Kim of Temecula CA writes (5/8/03):
I hired this moving company to move and store my household furniture. While it was in their storage it ALL got wet. It has mold and water damage and is a total loss. I paid them $2400.00 to move and store my furniture and they let it get destroyed. It was supposed to be put in crates and stored in their warehouse, but they did not crate it, they stored it in a leaky trailer.

I had a hard time getting them to file a claim and had to get my attorney involved just to find out their liablity carrier and get them to file the claim. They are still giving us the run around, their insurance company also. The furniture has been inspected by a highly qualified expert who filed this claim as a total loss and even now they are still not paying the claim and we are still getting the run around and living in a home with just mattresses that I had to go buy with no compensation, a refrigerator, a washer and dryer. I have been sitting on the floor for almost two months now and they told my attorney they don't care because it is just a property loss.

I have had to purchase 5 new beds in the amount of almost $7000.00 with no compensation and new sofa that was like what we had in the amount of $4200.00 just to have a place to sleep and sit.
