Consumer Complaints & Reviews

This moving company should not be used by anyone. The service is terrible, the employees are rude and do not care about their customers. We all know that moving company underestimate weight in order to get the job and that's fine, I can play that game knowing roughly how much my stuff weight, but these guys are going a step further and they will try to get money from you by not weighing the truck. They will tell you that they are making you a favor by settling for such amount but really they will rip you off. You will have to tip the movers and they may tell you they are only bringing one person but may turn up with 3 so you cannot rely on anything they tell you.

Same thing when you are trying to get information over the phone, the poor receptionist Brenda will pass you on to someone else as soon as you mention an issue and more than likely you will get the phone hung up on you if you try to ask them to explain themselves on an issue you are having. More importantly, they will tell you what you want to hear "yes your belongings will get there on such date" but of course it won't happen and you won't be able to complain about it.

They will do a lousy job at itemizing your items and you want to be able to trace anything that has been missing and don't even think about making a claim, since they don't answer the phone or emails. I really don't know what to do at this point and I don't understand why this company is still allowed to be operating. Please don't use them. I did, even after reading all the negative comments, because I could not imagine that it was possible to be that bad at running a business.

We had movers from Capital Van Lines move us. They were sloppy leaving bottles on curb in front of old house and cigarette butts in front of new house. They damaged the furniture and then the driver attempted to shake us down by demanding a tip. I provided them with a pizza and drinks and against my better judgement even gave a generous tip. The driver was insulted by tip and in my new house complained to me and wife about the wages they get and they wanted more money and when we said no, he continued to speak Arabic in front of us making us very uneasy. I even assisted in unloading truck so they could hurry up and leave. My wife was intimidated by the driver and felt uncomfortable having him in the house. He acted like a gangster. They also left without providing me with a copy of charges and have repeatedly asked for them and they never sent them. I tried to call but a man with heavy accent keeps lip servicing me and tell me he will call back. This moving company is the worse and would never recommend them to anyone.

I was overcharged by a factor of two. They were 2.5 hours late arriving. They were smoking while moving furniture and lying on the ground in the hallway of my unit and outside my house. There were complaints from the new neighbors about their trash and smoking. No response from them to the BBB. They were abusive and used threatening language to me. They showed total disregard for the value of furniture. They have no moving equipment, no special packaging, and no care in packing—total disregard for customer service and pride of workmanship. They were recommended and endorsed by Relocation.com, who refused to respond to my inquiries.

My name is Maria ** and the reason for my complaint is the following. On 06/09/11, I called Capital Van Lines for an estimate to move my furniture from Connecticut to Green Bay, WI. The estimate given to me by Micheal **, who visited my home at **, was that of $1,340.01 and 2 months free storage. Micheal ** also observed that I live in a third floor apartment in which most of the bigger appliances would have had to go through a balcony, but he agreed and said that it was no problem at all. I asked Micheal ** at this time if this move would be by weight or based on just a dollar amount. Micheal ** stated to me that it was based on a dollar rate and that I would pay a portion of $600.00 at the time of pick up and then I would pay the remainder at the time of drop off, which would have been $740.01. At this time, I decided to use their services to move my furniture from ** to Green Bay,WI.

When the movers arrived, they had no rope to tie any of my furniture. The rope was provided by me and after they loaded all of the furniture, the movers asked for money which was given to them in the form of cash, a total of $600.00. The movers also asked me for extra money for loading the furniture in the truck. I told them that I have no more money and I didn't have to pay them because this was their job, and that I was only paying for the services. The movers became angry and demanded money from me for their hard work. I have witnesses to this encounter, my landlord and my sister, who were present when this incident took place, not to mention we fed them pizza for their hard work and gave them water. Help was also provided by us. We took the boxes down from the third floor to the truck.

At this time, I would like to have my furniture back. I have not been able to speak to someone without the insults and yelling on the phone. The phone number (1-888-334-8134) was given to me to contact them regarding my furniture. On October 13, 2011, they called and I finally got to speak to a woman for a brief moment. She put me on hold and transferred me to a person who was not willing to hear me about the changes that have occurred. I am willing to pay because this is my furniture and I have personal belongings in the delivery such as my children's pictures, among the other important family attachments. I am, however, very dissatisfied with your company and I will never recommend you. I want my furniture and I need someone who is willing to listen and speak to me on the phone.

Contact me immediately regarding this matter at ** or **. The people whom I have spoken to from the number 888-334-8134 threatened to sell my personal belongings in an auction without clearly speaking to me. If such a matter occurs, I will take legal actions against this company. I have been treated very poorly and I have been rudely spoken to over the phone including hanging up on me. No one has been able to have a professional conversation with me so that we can agree to a payment and discuss the changes since they picked up my furniture. Again, I hope to hear from someone from this company immediately on a professional level without being yelled at or being hostile. I look forward to your call A.S.A.P.

I moved from CT to IL in June 2011. I have 4 bedroom furniture, mostly antiques (piano, many china and crystals) and other things that I have accumulated over the years. Alex from Capital Van Lines came to the house to give us the estimate. He only spent 30 minutes. I wasn't interested in seeing the inside cabinets or closets. I told him that I have many china. I packed most of my things.

A couple of days later, we received a quote and hired them. When they came to move me, the rate that the leader tried to give me was about 4 times more than the quote. He even tried to get me to pay him with cash for a discount, which I'm so glad I didn't. They even charged us for packing tapes, boxes that they used to wrap the furniture, etc. We were quoted as estimated at 1000 cubic feet at $3.50 per cubic foot - $3,500.00 and charged us $12,000.00. I negotiated down to $10,000. Mind you, I packed most and purchased boxes, tapes, packing material for packing my items. They also said they can take credit card when we hired them, but they wanted check. We were very upset about the price difference, but was afraid that my things were now in their possession and was afraid that they will keep it as hostage if we didn't pay it so we did.

Where to start? When booking the appointment through their sales agent, Tom, I was quoted an estimate of $95 per hour for 10 hours. That is a total of $950. I was also told that I could pay by credit card. Then after they arrived, I indicated that we would be paying by credit card. The mover said they will only accept cash. I argued and called the company, at which point talked to Gregory, the manager who was rude and said cash only and hung up the phone.

We packed the house ourselves and used bubble wrap for the dishes, etc. The movers insisted on wrapping all of my furniture in cellophane and lots of tape. I explained that this was not needed and they clearly said, "we have to by law". I left a few minutes before the movers, and it took me 2 hours and 45 minutes to drive from Stratford, CT to Dorchester, MA. It took the movers 4 hours and 45 minutes traveling the same route. When I questioned this, they said, "Who cares? Don't worry so much about it".

One of the movers brings me the paperwork to sign and pay, and the moving cost went from $950 to $1485! I reviewed the order and they were charging me $64 for the tape, $80 for the cellophane and $75 for the boxes in which I clearly said that they were all unnecessary! On a side note, I was charged for these boxes that they kept. I told the mover that I refused to pay the $285 in "packing" costs, at which point he said that I have no choice "Deal with it", the mover said (Yes, those are his exact words). He said that he was keeping the rest of the furniture on the truck until I paid. At this point, I still had a couch and a 50" flat screen TV on the truck. We ended up going back to an ATM and paying, figuring we would call the company Monday morning to rectify the issue. He reduced it to $200 after an argument.

We then paid for the move and gave the movers a $90 tip. Considering the move was 48% over the estimate, we thought this was fair. The mover then became belligerent and demanded more money for a tip. When we explained that we simply couldn't he said we would not receive the rest of our furniture without a better tip. Of course, I got upset and threw him out of my house, considering tips are never a requirement! I went downstairs to talk with the two other movers with this gentleman and said just take what's left off the truck and leave it on the sidewalk. I'll bring the rest in. The mover that I initially threw out of my house started yelling and swearing, demanding $50 before anything was released.

My husband saw how upset I was so he went to deal with the movers. He ended up giving them all the cash we had left in our wallets just to end the ordeal, which was an additional $30.00. They ended up bringing the TV up into the apartment, but dropped my couch in the driveway and drove off. To boot, as I was unpacking, I realized that I was missing an entire set of dishes and numerous teacups. I called the company this morning and again talked with Gregory, who again was extremely rude. I first talked about the movers behavior and he seemed unmoved by their behavior. He actually said, "What would you like me to do?" I then said that we were missing items and he said, "Can you prove it?"

After unpacking and also going back to the house in Connecticut, I am missing half an entire set of antique dishes.

I was moving from NY to FL. I got a quote as to how much it would be to move a 1bdrm apt. Per the rep Brenda, it would be $800 if 2100lbs or less. Per rep, this price includes gas/toll fees/packaging fees. I only have living room furniture and a mattress/box spring. The rest were boxes/bins. The movers came and they advised me that gas/toll fees/packaging fees were not included in the price. Without weighing my items, they gave me a price of $1866. I called the company. I told them that (as per their rep - Brenda) the info the drivers gave me were incorrect and that once they weighed my items, they will contact me.

On 08/01/11, I called the movers and the manager stated that my items were over 4500lbs and that I needed to pay $2100. I advised the manager of the info the rep gave me and that it was impossible my items were over 4500lbs. I asked the manager if my items were correctly weighed. He said, "No. We didn't weigh your items". So, when I asked the manager then if the items were not weighed, how do they know what to charge me.He began to yell at me, insult me and advised that if I did not pay him the $2100 I would not get my furniture. I contacted my lawyers regarding this matter. Per my lawyers, aside from the $500 deposit I gave, I had to pay $1000 to get my furniture. To receive my furniture, I paid the $1000.

When I received my sofa, it looked like they dragged it across the floor and they were ripped on the edges. Also, part of it looked like someone took a knife and ripped it on purpose. My tables were scratched. All my boxes were brand new and securely taped. When I received them, they were opened and had foot prints on them. The glasses inside the boxes that had fragile written on them were broken. When I asked the driver of the truck what happened, he advised that he had received my items the way he delivered them to me. I called the company. Once again, the manager told me that I was a liar, crazy, and that none of my merchandise was broken. I had a witness who was with me at the time my items were delivered. When I told the manager about it, he hung up the phone on me. I packed each and every box with another individual before the movers came to get them, but some of the boxes were received without any tape on them.

In planning a move from Mastic, NY to Morrisville, NC. I received numerous quotes. One such quote was from Capital Van Lines, my salesperson being Mike **. Mr. ** seemed very knowledgeable, and explained the whole process to me. He gave me an estimate of $1,500 based on 5,000 lbs at $.35/lb. Seeing as how he walked through my home and actually saw what I was moving, I figured this was fairly accurate. On moving day, 3 men came and efficiently loaded the truck. However, I was informed I had more than 5,000 lbs worth of items. This point was reiterated throughout the loading of the truck. I was told we were closer to 15,000 lbs! The truck driver informed me they were authorized to bill us for 10,000 lbs without weighing, which would be fair to us since we were estimated for so much less. The agreement was for 1/2 payment upfront, and the balance upon delivery. I ended up paying more than my total estimate just for a deposit! Unfortunately, this is the least of my complaints.

Part of our agreement was for Capital Van Lines to keep our items in a climate controlled storage facility at no charge for 1 month. We would pay for anything over 1 month . My items ended up being in storage for an extra week. The day before my delivery, I received a call from Greg stating, with an attitude, that the extra week would cost me $337 - for 1 week!! The movers came on Monday, August 8, 2011. The 2 delivery men came and started unloading my furniture. About 1/2 way through the delivery, I noticed some of the items they brought in were covered in mold! I immediately called Capital Van Lines. And I spoke with Greg who told me there was nothing he could do. I'd have to call back in the morning and speak with Brenda. I questioned him regarding the climate controlled storage facilities and assured me they were. Upon inspection, it was determined that both of kids' bedroom sets, my headboard, dresser and mattress were all covered in mold, plus boxes and the contents within.

The next morning I spoke with Brenda who was apologetic. She informed me that she would send out insurance paperwork and then proceeded to connect me to the manager. I started off by giving my name, address, and explaining how my furniture was covered in mold. I immediately was yelled at saying how he "told me yesterday there's nothing he could do and to speak with Brenda," and "what's the big deal, so you clean it". Apparently, I was speaking with Greg again. And the manager Alex was not in until noon that day.

I finally spoke with Alex, who was apologetic and said his insurance would cover this. He said he had no idea how this happened. After about 3 or 4 phone calls to him that day, he finally admitted that there was a leak in 1 of my storage containers. It was noticed by the forklift operator prior to emptying my container. Also the mold on my furniture was obvious as well. The men loading my truck for delivery saw it. And they chose to still load my truck and deliver it to my house, thus contaminating all of my belongings, my new house, and the new furniture I had delivered the day before. At this point, it is about 1 week later. I just got the insurance paperwork on Friday, only because I finally pressed them for their insurance company's direct contact info.

The sales person, Tom, sounded very nice and professional over the phone so I decided to go with these guys, plus the rates were below average (I did extensive research before). My move was scheduled at 9 am. The guys were three hours late! When I called Tom to report this, he said, "That's unacceptable! Let me call them." Then without notice, he transferred me to Greg, the guy in-charge of the move. He was very difficult to understand over the phone (reminded me of the Capital One TV commercial guy but twice as rude). After the third call, I threatened them to cancel the service. Then Greg told me, "I'll give you a discount." The guys arrived two minutes after this.

They moved everything out in an acceptable way. Moving in went mostly well if it weren't for a couple of scratches on my new hardwood floor. Anyway, when time to pay comes, the guy in-charge, Yuri, told me that they can't accept credit cards because it's late and the office is closed, which wouldn't have been a problem had they arrived on time. So I had to scramble some cash last minute, and, remember the discount I was promised by Greg the manager? Yuri called Greg and was told that it was such a small job that no discount is possible. I was stressed by then and ready this ordeal so I paid the guys and they left.

I wouldn't blame the actual movers since these guys literally broke their backs on a daily basis (however, they could use some customer service training), but the managers and brokers who give misleading information and false statements to get you into signing with them and then when it's too late, you are stuck with all your belongings in a truck.

In general, this experience could've been avoided if the guys were on time. They were three hours late, which threw the rest of the day off the schedule. And the stress on my self and my family to the roof!

For that reason, I wouldn't recommend this company.

My husband and I were moving our family a couple towns over and I had called quite a few moving companies because it was my first time using one. All the quotes came back similar and I chose this one because Tom was very pleasant and told me that the company was licensed and bonded. The day of the move, they were an hour late, sent with the wrong type of truck (three guys had to lift a piano and other heavy pieces onto the truck without a lift). They also started using their boxes and about a roll of packing tape per box! Because of the lateness and lifting they were stuck in traffic for two hours. When they got to the new house, they would not budge until everything was paid in full and because of the hours/supplies, my quote was over $500 more! I had taken out extra money for tips, but not that much.

I then had to fight with them that I didn't have that kind of extra money. And then the "boss" on the phone said he would take a partial credit card payment. Forty-five minutes later, they started unloading the van onto the street in front of the house. Around 8 p.m. we started thinking they were going to finish unloading the van and take off with everything left on the street. It took another fight with the boss for them to finally finish bringing everything in the house. Oh, and I carried in the majority of the boxes and small pieces! I thought that was what I was paying for but I guess not. They started around 10 a.m. and didn't leave my house until 9:15 p.m.

When I called back a couple days later (after calming down a little), I asked for Tom and was told that he doesn't work there. When I asked who I talked to in the beginning to schedule the move, they told me "someone else". I said no and told them the date, time and name of the person I had spoken to and they then hung up on me. I will be going to the Better Business Bureau with this also.

Also, trying to find out anyone's name there is ridiculous! With the accents (Romanian, I think) they said it once and moved on. In closing, do not use this company!

They charged me 1 hour 45 minutes for an hour ride. Then when they went to settle the bill, he claimed the 1 hour 45 minutes it took to get from one location to another was not the travel time, but work time. Then added 1 hour travel time on top of that. Tom told me they would accept a credit card over the phone, but that is not so when they went to settle the bill. Cash only. No one in the office speaks English and of course, Tom was not around that day. I feel this company was a total ripoff, plus they are slow and was an hour late.

I just wanted to write a report on the moving company that I used for my move recently. I have always heard horror stories about moving so I was very worried about using a company. I called 10 different companies for estimates, they all were around the same price so I decided to use Capital Van Lines. I chose them because of the salesperson Tom **. Tom explained to me how everything works and the additional charges that they have if I needed them.

The move went as well as I hoped it would, the guys were professional and courteous. There were no extra charges added on like I heard about. I would definitely recommend this company for your move.

My company was relocating me in September to Florida. The first thing that I did was to call different company - capital van lines being the only company who offered to send out and estimator. When the estimator came to my home he was very informative and professional. He gave me a quote of $800. On the move day when the movers arrived I was very surprised how professional they also were. They took the time to explain all details of my contract. I was also informed of all materials that were going to be used since this would be extra charges.

At the end of my move my actual price came out to be less than $100 above the estimate which simply amazed me since I have heard many horror stories. When they delivered my belongings it was within a timely manner and I was put in touch with the driver from the start so that I knew exactly where my shipment was at all times and exactly when I could expect delivery. Long story short - Best Company Ever.

Capital Van Lines in Bayonne, NJ was used to move my furniture from New Jersey to Houston, TX. Upon arrival, there are missing furniture (such as couch), and remaining furniture were damaged between scuffs and harsh scratches, and my $2200 Sony 50-inch TV broke while being delivered. The contract was for $1800. Then they wouldn't release my furniture unless I pay cash of $3000 and $150 tip.

I received my quote estimate for a move scheduled on Sunday, 29August 2010. I called on Friday, 26August 2010, to ask about pay methods. The foreign speaking guy, Greg, stated, "Cash and," what I thought was, "check." I repeated "Cash or Check?" He said, "No. No check. Cash and credit card." I repeated, "Cash and card, I got it." I know that he understood my responses since I asked to confirm the pay method. When the movers arrived, not only did they try to jack the price up by overcharging for boxing items that didn't need it anyway, I was told I had to pay cash. I said that I called that Friday and was told I could pay by credit card, but the demanding foreign speaking mover told me I would pay cash. They bring this issue into the picture once they start loading your stuff on the truck. So we later had to scramble to a few different ATMs to get the cash because my credit union has an upper limit on cash withdraws per day, which is why I called on Friday.

I later found out from another mover that this is called keeping the customer hostage (since they got your stuff, now you'll have to meet their demands). So I said I didn't have cash. The head mover who was demanding and confrontational continued to demand that I will pay cash. I called the Greg guy and said I talked to him Friday and he said cash or credit card. He immediately and without hesitation started yelling back that I signed an agreement that morning stating I would pay cash and they don't take credit cards. I reiterated my Friday conversation with him and he just continued to rant how I will have to pay cash; once again, enforcing the customer a hostage situation.

While the movers did pretty good job except for a gouge on a dresser (which I am claiming) and the move itself went well, they should be put out of business for lying to their customers, and for their aggressive demanding behavior toward customers, and unfair business tactics that corner the customer leaving them with only the option of paying them cash or finding another mover on the day of their move. My partner used A-1 America's Best Moving from South Jersey (who were excellent movers) and they (A-1 America's Best Moving) had heard of these Bayonne characters with their lying and demanding behavior from customers who needed the same day moving services because of issues with Capital Van Lines. Spread the word.

This mover has a long and storied history of complaints under many different names, including but not limited to, A Security Moving and Storage, Inc., United Group Moving and Storage, and most recently, Capital Van Lines. My brother and his wife hired this mover in August of 2007 to complete a move from NJ to Western PA. They were completely unprofessional, stealing money and alcohol (which they consumed while on the job), damaged their belongings and homes, and left the job unfinished. My brother took them to a Better Business Bureau Arbitration, and eventually to court to enforce an award of the arbitrator.

The subject matter of the binding arbitration were damages to real and personal property of the complainant that occurred during this move. The mover exhibited a complete disregard for the personal and real property of my brother and his wife. The Better Business Bureau arbitrator awarded my brother and his wife an amount equal to $11,606.00 for said damages in an arbitration award that was rendered on February 4, 2009. As a result of their failure to abide by this arbitration decision, the Better Business Bureau revoked Security Moving's accreditation on February 24, 2009. Following the arbitration, Capital Van Lines refused to make payment, and my brother had to hire a lawyer and bring a court case to enforce the judgment. He is just now receiving installment payments for the damages incurred, three years after the move; $15,000 in damages to real and personal property.

This mover has engaged in behavior that violates applicable federal regulations, including a continuing violation of 49 CFR 375.211, due to its failure to abide by a binding arbitration award issued by the BBB arbitrator. Unfortunately, however, this conduct does not seem to be limited to my brother's experience with their personnel. This egregious actions of this rogue mover, despite having only one licensed moving truck, have resulted in a litany of complaints and fraud allegations as noted in the FMCSA's own complaint database, the Better Business Bureau's complaint report. Despite all of the damaging information that is out there regarding this outfit, from all accounts they continue to operate and provide customers with shoddy service. Most recently, they have started operating under a registered trade (or DBA name) of United Group Moving and Storage, Inc., including a website located at ** which, other than the name adorning the pages, is a carbon copy of their now defunct ** website. Do not use their services.

Basically, this company is owned and run by liars. We had a home estimator, Mike, who was quite nice, come and give us an estimate for our move. At the end, he said we could pay by cash, check, or credit card. In addition, I was told over the by Brenda that we could pay by credit when we called to schedule the move. We specifically hired this company over others because they would accept a credit card.

However, when the move day came, I was told by one of the movers that they will only take cash. When I spoke to the owner, Gregory, he was extremely nasty and rude - calling me stupid and a liar. He kept saying that his credit machine was broken, then he said that he did not even have one. I told him he can call in the number over the phone to take credit payments, but he did not want to hear what I had to say and after saying more nasty things, he hung up on me. I tried to call again to ask to speak to Brenda or Mike, who quoted that I could pay by credit, and he said that they do not work there. All he had to do was treat me like a good paying customer and I may have not been so upset.

Since Captial was only accepting cash, we had to make sure we had enough funds. We were very upset and it almost wiped out our checking account because we were unprepared to pay cash since they told us they would accept credit cards. Aside from a few wet items, our stuff arrived in good condition. But we were so paranoid that they were going to run off with all of our stuff. Although, economically and physically, we survived, emotionally it was traumatizing!

In arranging to move some of my late parents' belongings, I contacted many moving companies, including truck rental companies. Tom, the salesman for Capital Van Lines in NY, gave me a quote for $1,100 to move 2,000 lbs from Jeffersonville, NY to San Antonio, TX. This was extremely reasonable and after many comparisons, I accepted the emailed estimate. Arrangements were made for pick-up and the men arrived in a timely manner. (I did have to call because the promised boxes hadn't been sent to the home as promised).

At the completion of the packing and loading, I was given the final bill of loading with a price of $1,450. That's over 30% more than the written quotation. I questioned the cost, but these were not the people responsible for the charges. They of course were in a hurry and pressured me to sign so they could be on their way. Upon my return to San Antonio, I called Tom, who quickly referred me to Gregory. This manager doesn't have time to discuss anything like why I wasn't told about fuel surcharge ($120), or why I was charged for packing and unpacking ($150) or why I was charged $80 for labor (no charge according to the written estimate). He just refused to discuss anything more than refunding $80 for the labor. (I had given the two men a $50 tip each so he probably figured I had given them more than he would have anyway).

When a different set of men arrived with my furniture today, I had to have them call Gregory for he hadn't mentioned the $80 adjustment that he had told me about. He again wouldn't discuss anything else. He was rude and threatened to have the truck leave and take my possessions to CA unless I paid the driver in full. I had no choice, and did pay the remaining balance of $620, which he finally remembered he had agreed to accept as payment in full.

I would never recommend this company. I made a decision based on a written estimate that was worthless. I wouldn't mind paying the fuel surcharge if someone like the salesman Tom had bothered to mention that it would be an additional charge. Or if it had been mentioned in the written estimate, which it was not. But the packing and unpacking and the charge for the men's hours was totally inappropriate. I had no choice but to pay.

I will happily say that my possession did arrive as stated and what has been unpacked has not been damaged. For what it cost me, I am happy that is the case. I am angry that a written estimate meant nothing and that Gregory just wouldn't discuss anything. He was rude and nasty. Tom should be ashamed to be working for someone like that but it is a job!

I called this company and got a quote over the phone. My salesman was courteous and I was comfortable with him. I then read a bad review about this company but went with my first instinct and hired them. It was one of the best moving experiences I have ever had and I have moved around a lot. I had no damage when my shipment arrived in Texas and they shipped in a timely manner. I would recommend Capital Van Lines to any one.

I scheduled the appointment thru Tom ** (nice guy). He asked for a list of items and quoted over the phone as well as via e-mail $480. We were moving 13.2 miles in state. The guys were supposed to turn up at 12pm noon, but did not. I called and spoke to Greg/Gregory every half hour, starting at 12:30, who informed me that the guys would be there in 10-15mins. That turned into 4:36hours, not happy. The guys walked in and said we can not do this job for what was quoted and nearly doubled the quote to $750. What!

I told them to leave. My husband was able to reason with them and got the price back down. The moving guys turned out to be quite nice, but I did not like the fact that they tried to rip us off. One kept asking how old I was, when I said nearly 40, he said "no way, you look like you are in your 20's". Hmm, is that why they tried to rip us off? I would never recommend this company.

I have a 97 year old grandmother who had to sit out in the heat from 11:30 until 7pm (when they finished loading the truck). I wish Gregory would have just told me the truth and said they'd be here at 5pm instead of 12 noon.
