Al of Cave Creek, AZ, writes: We had a bid to move us to our new home in Queen Creek. We agreed on a price and a date of Dec 13 1998 at 9AM. Mr. F. of C&C Moving asked for a $150.00 deposit. We gave it to him and the arrangement was set. I took vacation time to move and on the morning of the 13th C&C did not show up. We made numerous attempts to reach them by pager and phone with no answer. We had to call another mover that would come out the same day, Father and Son. They came out ,we did get moved. When we finally made contact with Mrs. F, she said her husband had some other things to do that day and he had forgotten about our move. We asked for the deposit back and she said she would send it. Ten days later we had not recieved it so we tried to call again but she was having her calls screened. My daughter called as a new customer and by trickery we were able to talk to her again. This time she said she was not going to send our deposit back and hung up. We felt as if someone came into our home and robbed us -- not only of the $150 but the time that was wasted waiting for them. It caused a lot of aggravation and stress. We did take it to small claims court in Mesa and recieved a judgemnt. Now I wonder how many other people they scammed. I'ts not so much the money as I feel a felony has been committed.I also contacted the Better Business Bureau and Three On Your Side who suggested I contact you. Thank you, Al. Since you already have a court judgment, there's not much more we can do, except to list C&C in our Rogues Gallery as a warning to others.
