My son, a private in the U.S. Army and a combat veteran, ordered a package, and kept paying for other packages as they came in. After about 10 came, he called and cancelled. He had to give them a debit card number to get the order. After he cancelled, they charged another $6.99 through EFT to his bank account. He and I both called and complained and they finally said it was a mistake and they had corrected it. A day later, a charge for $66.98 came through via aft. I called them again, and a self proclaimed floor manager calling himself Tyler told me that he had personally handled my son's account and it was done right and asked why my son wasn't calling himself.
I said that he was being deployed back to Iraq and I was trying to help him, and that I am also his attorney. Tyler then said well tell your son to call when he gets back from Iraq, and then laughed and hung up on me.
We've been hung up on several times, we have been called stupid in many ways, and their people spend more time trying to let you know that they are smart than helping you. I called back today and asked them for the address for their service agent, and they gave me the same address where they take orders, and the corporate name - Mantra Entertainment, P.O. Box 150, Hollywood, CA 90078.
I am thinking of filing a small claims action in Oklahoma or Texas, and serving them by registered mail, and waiting to see if they will defend themselves. If they don't then I have to find a way to collect the judgment. This is about them ripping off service men who are deployed and cannot fight back.
