When I read your "complaints" about PartyLite it really bothered me. I have been a Consultant with PartyLite for 8 years and have moved up into Leadership after being with PartyLite just a couple of years. All these complaints you have are several years old for one thing. It's really too bad that you only posted negative comments from people who obviously don't know what they are talking about or they caused the problems themselves. PartyLite is an incredible company. They do everything they can for customers and for consultants and leaders. I've met so many consultants and leaders who's lives have been totally changed for the better because of PartyLite's generous opportunity. The home office staff is extremely helpful, our products cannot be beat. I personally have seen PartyLite replace items that customers have had for more than three years. Sometimes, it's the customers fault when they break someting. You can't get that service in a store. I think you should post the positive comments too. I worked in corporate America for many years and NEVER got the recognition or the advancement opportunities that PartyLite has offered me. I've earned unbelievable trips for me and my husband to Hawaii, the Caribbean, the Atlantis resort just for doing my job. I think it is very unfair that you have posted all these negative comments about PartyLite. It paints a picture that is just not true about this wonderful company and its wonderful people. Gail of Kenilworth NJ (10/19/03):
We couldn't possibly agree less. If Partylite does not make good on its agents' failure to perform, it does not deserve anyone's business. Stacey of Exeter PA writes (10/16/02):
Independent consultant means just that. The fault is with the consultant and hostess. She had to have an address on her books or somewhere on an order form that she wrote one. You need to get your facts straight and stop trying to get the freebies in life. I am a indepentent consultant and all checks are made directly to me and cashed at my bank, then sent to Partylite in my name, and this is how all consultants work, at least in PA they do. Laurie of Amherst MA (9/9/03):
As a leader/trainer with this company I have to deal with customers complaining about consultants. Unfortunately, there are some bad apples out there, that reflect badly on those of us running a home-based business. We don't want them representing this company any more than you do. But we are all independant contractors, which means we are not company employees, we work for ourselves and therefore we personally are responsible for our own actions. As far as the company goes, I have always seen them do their best to take care of their customers, sometimes even at their own expense, although the consultant was the one at fault. You cannot blame the company for the actions of some bad independant consultants. If you have a problem or have not received your product from a party, notify the company immediately, within 1-2 mos, to have the problem resolved. Normal product delivery only takes 3 weeks, if the consultant is doing their job right. As far as the consultants complaining, consultants are only terminated for reasons of not following company guidelines, and for not turning in monies to the company from parties held. As someone who has been making a living with PartyLite as my sole income, I am completely offended by all of these complaints, and I do my absolute best to take care of my hostesses and customers, after all they are the reason I'm in business. You are hearing one side of the story, theirs. I'd be willing to bet that the consultants you are hearing about, are those that never bother to get the monthly training offered, and are therefore misrepresenting the company and all we have to offer. The good news is, that out of the thousand of parties held daily, all over the world, you are only hearing about a small percentage gone wrong, and the large majority of us, follow the company guidelines set forth and do our job. Thanks for allowing me to voice my opinion. Susan of Pekin IL (9/9/03):
As for the hostess I tell them when the check will be deposited and when to expect their product and I call back about 12 business days later to see if their product has arrived. Unfortunally all home businesses gain owners that are not responsible for their business but as for those that are giving cash or writing checks to people that they do not know -- well there are things called stop payments and if you are writing a check know their name and address and most importantly phone number! Kim of Coldwater OH (8/15/03):
Jennifer of Orangeville ON (8/11/03):
Unfortunatly there are bad apples out there, but please don't let one bad person ruin your belief in the rest of us who are honest and upfront with you. Also paying by credit card will insure your purchase. If you do not receive your products you can call your credit card company and they WILL get your money back! |
