Partylite - Merchandise Never Received |
|||||
|
I had a party in early November 2005. A friend ordered over $100 worth of items and paid for them in full. Both my friend and I have tried to contact the consultant but have had no response. Damages: My friend paid over $100 with nothing to show for it. I am very disappointed with Partylite, and will never order or have another party. Cindi of Brownstown MI (9/28/03):
A few days later I called her again only to get an answering machine. I told her to please call me reqarding my friends' candles. I didn't hear from her again so the next day I walked over to her house. She said she was just getting ready to call me. She was going to call her leader and then she would get back to me. I never heard from her. When I called her a week later, she said her leader had been out of town. I asked her about the candles, she said they were ordered and that sometimes Partylite loses her order. She said she would reorder them. It's been two months since she cashed my check and I still have no candles. I called her on Friday to let her know that if I don't get my candles by October 1, 2003 I wanted my money back. I also told her I would tell everyone at the elementary school both of our children attend how she does business. I still haven't heard from her. I will be taking her to small claims court if things aren't resolved soon. The economic damage is that these candles were for a friend of mine. I will now have to pay her the money because I was the one who recommended this woman. Monica of Windsor, ON (9/8/03):
Anne of Wexford PA (8/15/03):
I've never been so embarrassed! All 5 of my customers work with me. They were all waiting for their orders. Some of the orders were to be used for party/occasions that have passed. The checks were cashed, and Partylite had received the appropriate amount for the orders from the master invoice sheet for the consultant. Well I could go on and on but what I ended up doing was paying each customer back with a personal check. I felt so bad. Still at this point PartyLite has not contacted me back. I will contact the Better Business Bureau and register a complaint. PartyLite has lost quite a few customers because of this one order. What kind of business is this??? Not one that I will deal with again. Terry of Mill City, OR, writes (4/23/01):
January of this year I e-mailed Partylite to see what had happened. They said there was nothing they could do because Tabitha no longer worked for them, but if they could give me the name of the hostess they could check with her to see what had happened. The hostess is afraid to do anything because she is afraid they will go after her for the money. There was no merchandise delivered. I may be wrong but I feel this company is responsible to give me my money back because Tabitha took the checks representing the Partylite company. It is too late to put a stop on the checks so what can a person do? I paid out a $135.65 with nothing to show for it. I live on Social Security which is not that much to be taken for that much money. I have spent a lot of time trying to get them to do something about it. What should a person to do when they are cheated, when you dont even get the mercheandise when you pay for it?
