Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I bought a Martha Stewart carpet from Home Depot to the tune of $5K and it started to unravel two weeks after it was installed. I filed a complaint and no one, not even Home Depot, would take responsibility. I bought Martha Stewart sheets from Macy's and the fitted sheet keeps slipping off, even though they were bought for "extra deep" mattresses, and the duvet cover came apart at the seams after one month. I bought Martha Stewart ramekins and the handles fell off after the first use. Martha Stewart will slap her name on any shoddy product. She's only concerned about revenue. I will never ever buy another Martha Stewart product and believe me, I'm spreading the word!

My husband and I purchased the Martha Stewart Living Patio set last summer at Home Depot. We went to put the umbrella in the whole of the table and the glass shattered. We'd like to get new glass but are unsure where to find it? Can anyone direct us to a website with parts for this table? We like the table and would like to use it since we have all the matching chairs for it.

Replacement tiles and compromised integrity - This is not a complaint. I purchased a Palm Canyon 7-piece outdoor dinning set and the wind caught the umbrella and turned the table over. The four tile inlays broke and I want to replace them, but Home Depot and others do not have them. Is there any way I can purchase them please? It is a really nice table.

I started receiving Martha Stewart magazines in the mail around Christmas. I thought it was a promo. Then I started receiving bills, huge bills, for them. I wrote back on the bill "cancel", but they kept coming. I called twice, the person on the other side was apologetic and said they were cancelled and I should never have received a bill. Now I received a letter from them telling me they are taking me to collection because I refused to pay this 50+ dollar bill for this magazine I never wanted. I called again angry to have the guy, ( Mr. *** ), on the other side tell me the subscription came from Burt's Bees (800-447-2800) and another just came in on the 16th of February for another subscription from a place called Blue Dolphin.com.

Somehow these people got hold of my information, sold my information to Martha Stewart Living and now I can't stop the billing. I called them, there is no one to speak to, just an automated announcement where they call themselves another name of MagTracker.com or M2Mags, telling you to go to their Blue Dolphin web site. Once there, you have to sign up for it to go anywhere else. I have no intention of singing up for their website because they already have too much of my information as it is. It stated in the website that plainly and clearly they do not sell anyone's information to anyone else, yet that's how Martha Stewart got my information in the 1st place and my name is going to collections for something I never ordered.

I bought two sets of Martha Stewart trouseau lace sheets, pillowcases and a duvet cover (all king size) at Macy's in the summer of 2010. By the summer of 2011 the material of the pillowcases had frayed and split at the folds so badly that they had to be replaced. In the fall of 2011 the duvet cover began to develop holes in the material after washing. I have washed it two times since I returned it to the bed with the duvet in the autumn of 2011. Each time, more holes in the fabric have appeared. I would normally expect more than two years use out of a relatively big-ticket item like the duvet cover ($300.00).

I washed a quilt that was purchased from Macy's and it was already coming apart.

I bought Martha Stewart collection exclusively for Macy's dinnerware three months ago. The dinnerware is printed with the advisement "dishwasher and microwave safe" and continues with a warning "will get hot in the microwave"

This however, is untrue, the dishes have cracked and chipped while in the microwave, even on low temperature. I tested one today out of frustration, and used the "reheat" setting, the glaze on the plate cracked after 12 seconds. I put in another plate on the low setting, and this time it took over 20 seconds for the glaze to crack. I'm returning this "fine china" to Macy's, and then I'm going to a different store to buy some good dishes. Martha, you've lost your last brownie point in my book, and Macy's, not far behind. What a huge disappointment. Live and learn.

I bought a Martha Stewart Collection Bedding, Trousseau Crest sheet set. It's beautiful. I love the way it looks on my king size bed. The problem is that it wrinkles terribly when I wash it. Fabric softener in the washer and dryer does not even help. My housekeeper offered to iron it for me, since I was having a house guest. It took her 2 1/2 hours, and by the time I got it back on the bed, it was wrinkled. Suggestions? My suggestion to you is a more wrinkle-free fabric in the same design. It's frustrating to have a beautiful, washable sheet set, that looks unkempt, because I don't have the time to iron it for 2 1/2 hours each week, when I wash the sheets.

I purchased a dog collar from Petsmart. It was a black and red plaid with a small flower on it. Every day, I have to cut threads off the collar which appears to be unraveling. I have purchased other products from Martha Stewart which held up well and this is the first time I have had a problem with an item from this manufacturer.

I bought a Christmas tree from K-mart two years ago it was a pre-lit tree one strand does not work. I should have been concerned because this was the second tree we got because the first one there was a problem with the lights. The box says that it has a three-year warranty. When I called the number on the box, I got a different number. That number belongs to a real estate company (which I had to pay for). I called K-mart. They said that they could do nothing for me because they no longer carry Martha Stewart.

I talked to eight different people before I finally got a hold of someone. I went through K-mart and Sears customer service. They said that they were with Martha Stewart in New York. They gave me a website but were not allowed to give out any phone numbers. When I mentioned something about a tree, they knew about the problems with the lights. This is very upsetting to me. This was not a cheap tree. I am hoping to hear back from them but was told that there was only two people that answered the phone at this office. Did not want to even pick one star .

I purchased a Martha Stewart outdoor patio set last month and the cushion got burned from the sun, the material was melted. I could not believe my eyes, if I did not remove the cushions away from the house, the whole house would catch fire. I complained to Home Depot and their answer was they could not do anything about it. I do not recommend anyone buying her product; it's dangerous and bad quality.

I bought a Victoria Martha Stewart patio seating set in May 2010 and been noticing since May 2011 that my cushions are deteriorating before my eyes. I couldn't believe it when they started shredding every time you touch them.

I could understand if this was a cheap set but I paid $1,200 for this patio furniture and saved very hard to get it. I sure hope Martha is getting these complaints and she has the decency to improve her products because I've already been burnt and from the looks of it, so have many other people!

I purchased a Martha Stewart Living Gazebo last summer. A couple days after putting it up, there was a storm and it almost fell apart. My husband and I had to stand in the rain holding onto it so it wouldn't fall apart and smash our glass top table.

At the end of summer, it was a little torn (the material is obviously not weather resistant like the packaging said). I emailed and also wrote to Martha Stewart Living, with no reply. So we stored the gazebo in our basement for the winter.

This summer we put it up. After a storm, half the gazebo top material ripped right off. This gazebo is such a piece of junk. I expected it to last, since it was over $500 and also with a supposed to be weather resistant material. It was only set up for 3 to 4 months a year for 2 years.

I recommend to everyone to not waste your money and, if you try to contact the company about getting another gazebo top, it doesn't matter because they won't get back to you.

Baught martha stewart Paint, preped the walls started to paint and found the paint so thin and not staying mixed very well. Painted three coats on just some of the cut in area and one portion of wall so see the color. The paint color is great but the paint will rub off the wall so easy and this is after three days. Home depot will not take this paint back. Bahr or Gliddon is far superior paint. One more strange thing martha stewart paint is almost six dollars more than the Bahr paint. Highly recomend not using martha stewart paint!

I have a set of three Martha Stewart silicone spatulas with wooden handles that were purchased (I believe at Kmart) a few years ago. Last night, I noticed a bit of black gunk where the handle met the head of the spatula. I removed the handle, and that end was covered in toxic black mold! I checked the other two and they also had this mold. I can't believe I've been cooking with these--I even used them to make cookies that I took to a potluck last week. This is a dangerous product!

I also had a bad experience with a Martha Stewart patio table. I don't remember the name of the table but it was the six-sided table with a leaf pattern. My table broke when my husband went to put the umbrella in. He barely tapped the edge of the glass with the end of the umbrella trying to get it in the hole and the table crumbled into a million pieces. I was watching him put it in and he was being very gentle with guiding it in. The glass should never have broken that easily and if it was normal, every patio table in the world would break when trying to insert the umbrella if you touched the table.

My Martha Stewart Victoria collection round dining table's glass top shattered this afternoon. No one was in the backyard and temperatures are mild in the low 80s. There was no object found in the glass pieces that could have caused the glass to break. This set was purchased in year 2000 and has no other issues. We also have the coffee table, which we are now expecting to explode without warning as well.

Ordered my Martha Stewart (1-10-202 D-set Mallorca, 7 pc Din Ups) on May 14, 2010. I was so excited. I had a PVC set for 20 years and this set on Home Depot web page was just beautiful. I received the set on 6/04/ 2010. My husband put the set together, it looked great. The old set we put out for garbage and a young couple asked if they could take it and we said yes, but they had no way to get it home. So my husband brought it to their house. They wanted to give him money for gas; he said, no, just enjoy the set.

Two weeks later, the cushions, started to sag in the middle. I called Home Depot. They told me I had to contact Home Casual. I spoke to a girl, Jane **. Told her about the cushions and told her my bottom or husband's bottom was not fat. I had to take pictures and email them to her. She sent me 5 sets of new cushions. On Aug 16th, I noticed the arm started rusting in one of the chairs. I emailed a picture to Jane. She called me and said she would send me a new chair. I asked her, "Will the other chairs rust? What can I do to prevent it from happening?" She told me to put on Clear Car Wax once a month. I have a one year warranty on the frame and fabric, but after reading the complaints about the glass top table now I'm worried. What next will go wrong with this set? Right now it's hard to make ends meet in this country and I hope you can help me out! I need two knee replacements and it is hard for me to wax this patio set.

I paid $31.45 by cheque for a magazine subscription from Martha Steward Living. My banking record shows that cheque was cashed; and my bank has provided me with a photo-copy of the back of that cashed cheque, with the # of the account that money went into, but that company still refuses to fulfill their contract.

In my opinion, and after having heard that a friend of mine is currently having the same problem, i wonder if this is some sort of new type of scam... involving many more paying customers. After a lot of running around to my bank, and talking with that magazine's customer-service rep's, i feel that it's now time for me to sue them... to force them to live up to their own contract(s). So, where should I begin? Here in Canada, when they do not seem to have a branch-office in this country? (But only a "Bank of Montreal" account, and a mailing address here.)

Last 04/09, I purchased a Martha Stewart Octagon Gazebo with interior shelving. The item was on sale, 5 mos later the product proved to be inferior. On 03/10, we contacted the manufacturer for replacement parts or a new gazebo. To date, we are still waiting. The 3 weeks before the 4th of July we were told it would be another 10 weeks for the parts. I have been an Asst Buyer for lawn/garden furniture and believe this to be bogus. I do not believe that this gazebo is a part of the current inventory for sale. Therefore it is unlikely that the parts are on back order.

I am appalled at the stalling which appears to be obvious deception. The worst customer service! So far,we have not used our patio, missing the Easter holiday, Memorial Day, July 4th and entertaining my out of town visiting relatives and friends. I'm furious! We first called Kmart, then the Sears Distribution Center in Charlotte,NC, then we contacted the manufacturer by e-mail. My husband then had two phone conversation with a representative.

Our fire pit patio set rusted and has ruined our brick patio. With each rainfall, another chair rusts. We have gone back to the store to switch the chairs out and the new ones are no different. These have ruined our patio and clothes, as well as wasted our money!

Last season, I purchased a set of Martha Stewart Everyday Victoria Patio Furniture and am glad to see I am not the only one with a complaint about these Cushions. The furniture itself held up but the cushions were crap! Once I saw that everything is made out of Asia, I realized I would search the web for a more reliable source for replacement cushions and found a place that I would like to suggest that I recently got replacement cushions for, that were cheaper than the replacements from Sears (which are now sold out). The site is ***.com which was the only place I found to do them but very good quality. Other than that I do not suggest buying any replacement cushions from Sears as they are the same ones the furniture came with which we all know here that they are not very durable.I guess that's it.

I purchased the Belle Isle woven deep seating set by Martha Stewart Living. I paid $1,000 plus tax. Two weeks after I bought it, I noticed the weaves on the love seat and on the ottoman broke (several). The chairs still look good because nobody sat on them yet. I called the store and I was told to bring it back (I have not had time to disassemble the set and haul it to the store). The set was nice looking but poorly built. I will ask for the money back. Something that costs so much and lasts so little, it has to be bad.

I bought a lot of patio furniture Martha Stewart from Kmart. Bar stool and bar, along with table with 6 chairs. I loved the Shelter Island Gazebo. I got the shelter island box home, parts were missing. But now that the canopy ripped after one and half year, I can't find a replacement canopy. If I don't get one in the next week, I will never buy anything Martha Stewart again.

I was excited to purchase a Martha's dining table, 5 chairs and umbrella. This feeling did not last long. It wook one week before the chairs started rusting and leaking rust onto the patio carpet. The umbrella cost $189, lasted less than 4 months. Lazy Susan is just that, does not want to turn. My mom's Wellington table shattered into millions of pieces for no reason. Now I'm just afraid of what will happen next. $400 for rusted patio set, $189 for a non-functioning umbrella.

One month after I bought Martha Stewart furniture, the straps broke, started to rust and the table top roller fell apart. The glass broke. I bought table, five chairs with umbrella, two rockers and a coffee table it was not worth $100 let alone $1200. What a rip-off.

I purchased 4 boxes of flatware from K-Mart. (Martha Stewart Everyday). My purchase was made on 3/16/09. (I do have my original receipt). On the back of the flatware set there is a limited 25-year warranty indicating that it is up to the company to repair or replaced any piece. I sent 20 pieces of flatware to the address indicated above and registered the package when mailing. I did get confirmation from the post office that the package was received. My original letter to CY Top, Ltd was dated 4/29/2010 with a copy of my receipt. To date, I have gone to K-Mart but they have told me that they no longer carry any of Martha Stewart's products. I cannot get a phone number for this company. After purchasing 4 boxes of flatware to be used daily, I now only have 4 dinner forks and 4 knives.

I purchased a Martha Stewart patio set - four chairs and a large, low, round table. It is made of a synthetic wicker that is a light brown color. After a few months outdoors in the sun, the color began to change. If the change had been consistent throughout the whole set, it would not have been so bad. Unfortunately, the chairs and table were all made with different dye batches of wicker. The chairs are now splotchy - with two different colors and look really bad.

I bought a complete Martha Stewart table & 5 piece chairs along with umbrella, 4 piece porch set and a swing about 6 years ago at Kmart. They were covered every day along with winter storage. The set has a warranty but we cannot seem to get anywhere to get either our money back or replacements. The first items that rot were all the seat cushions, then the umbrella, then the swing canopy along with the cushions all rotted. Now this year, we have a lot of rust and then the table shattered into a million pieces on our patio (my dogs just came in or they would have been severely injured).

A few years ago, we bought a Martha Stewart 4 pc patio set called Victoria. We only use this 4 months of the year and already the straps that hold the cushions are breaking. I cannot find anywhere to get replacement straps. Otherwise, this furniture is becoming unusable and we paid a good deal for it. Anything you can do to find replacements parts would be helpful. Physical damage is that we are not going to be able to use the settee if we don't find replacement parts. I've been online to Martha Stewart and find no help. Thank you.

I had purchased the Martha Stewart Victorian collection from K-Mart which included the carousel table with 5 chairs along with the sofa, table and 2 rockers. During the summer the furniture was kept under a gazebo and in the winter stored away from the elements in hopes of preserving the life. This was not a cheep set and should have lasted longer than one year. Shortly, after the warranty expired the furniture started to rust and peel. Some of the arms on the chairs are so bad that I am afraid to have anyone sit in them for fear of getting metal splinters. The carousel rusted and no longer turns. So far the table has not shattered, but we are fearful that what has happened to so many others will also happen to us.

Patio furniture had a lifetime warranty. The furniture is falling apart. I cannot get anyone to honor the warranty. Umbrella is broken. Patio table and chairs peeling apart.

One and a half years ago, I purchased a Gazebo with a glass bar attached inside by Martha Stewart from Kmart. Every fall, I take it apart and take it indoors. I paid $500 for it. It has fallen apart, shredded, shrunk. It's a piece of garbage. I work very hard for my money. I am so disappointed in the quality of this item. I expected so much better for what I paid for it. I looked all over that year and bought this one because I thought being MS' it would be of good quality. Who can I contact or will someone contact me to help me with this mess? That's a lot of money to me. Please have someone help me. Thank you.

I bought the Martha Stewart Melrose hexagon gazebo. It was great when I first got it me and my family was so happy to have it. As soon as the weather change this gazebo didn't hold up and I went to K-mart to ask for replacement on the parts and look online to see everyone who brought this gazebo was not please with it. I'm not happy about this, so please help me to get it replaced.

I purchased a colander from Macy's through the Martha Stewart Collection back around August 2008 with some wedding money (I'm a newly wed). The colander is unsafe for use and needs to be taken off shelves because of it's potential to cause burns during draining. I purchased the colander because I live in a compact condo and needed cooking utensils and products that were collapsible.

I thought I found the perfect colander when I purchased the gray and white large collapsible colander with legs fold out to stand up. Because the inside part of the colander that you use to drain items is made of a firm rubber like material when you drain hot items like pasta and then try to transfer the pasta or other item into a bowl the inside part of the colander flings back in and the pasta flies out of the colander landing all over the place making a "huge mess" and burning the individual using the colander.

Please be careful with this product. I will no longer be using this item due to the fact that I have gotten burned several times during use of this item.

Need a part for Martha Stewart Victoria collect 3 seater swing.
Codeno 0 280556 119
need plastic spacer clip (C)

screw (F) and see fig 4A. I can't attach my canopy to my swing. I've been trying for over a year to get this part. Martha Stewart customer service will not respond.

My wife and I have lived with an old redwood table and benches, given to us by a neighbor, for over 20 years. On 2 June 2009, my wife and I finally felt that we could afford a nice patio set. We purchased a Martha Stewart patio furniture set at the Kmart store, listed below. On 28 August 2009, I sat down in one of the chairs, and it ripped up the center of the seat.

We have had it barely a year. It has been stored through the winter months out of the weather and we didn't bring it out of storage until July 2009, as it rained most of the month of June. I took the chair back to the Kmart where it was purchased and was told that they couldn't do anything for us. I ask, "What good is a 5-year-limited warranty?"

I purchased three pieces of Martha Stewart Patio furniture on sale in May 2009 at the Milford, Ct KMart. We transported the furniture to a summer residence at the end of June and it was assembled in July. During the summer use of the furniture the Loveseat and the Sofa seemed to be less firm than when new. I looked under the cushions to see support pieces bent on each piece. It looks like a an ibeam of wrapped plastic is horizontally situated and it is not structurally sound. If it were mounted vertically it may be better. The local store has not helped due outside the three month KMart return policy. Corporate Kmart is working with other stores to mediate a reutrn. I am not sure this is the best furniture due to the defect, but what can I do? I am paying interest free for a year and still owe over $600.

I purchased a Martha Stewart patio furniture, including a lazy Susan glass top table and a glass top coffee table. The lazy Susan table's glass top spontaneously shattered for no reason. The table was a total loss, and glass shards were everywhere. We're now without a table, and it took an hour or two to clean up all the broken glass.

I put a Martha Stewart patio set (Palisade), including matching umbrella on layaway in late April. When I went to pick up the set, their was no umbrella. Kmart said it was on backorder. They never had it. They gave me a raincheck and I took the set home. I tried to find the umbrella online, no luck. While searching, I came across your website and began to read the complaints. Someone else was also searching for the elusive matching umbrella. I read numerous stories about shattering/exploding glass tables and no replacements given. TruGreenEnough said and read. I took my set back to Kmart the very next day. I told the manager about the website and the complaints and got a full refund. I am thankful for the valuable information. What is wrong with this woman? She should be charged with aggravated assault! Good luck, guys. I hope you get a class action lawsuit against Martha Stewart and company. She/They deserve it.

The cushions have come apart and the color is coming off of the metal.

I bought a set of Martha Stewart Everyday towels- 2 bath, 2 hand, 2 washcloths and 1 bathsheet- in red. I bought them because of the Martha Stewart name. They are a true disappointment and I have no desire to buy anything made by Martha Stewart again. These towels are the cheapest, most poorly made towels I have ever bought. I have washed these towels at least 6 times and they continue to leave red dye in the washer and the lint is so prolific and fryable that it ends up all over my bathroom, my skin and in my hair. I can no longer use these towels.

Melrose Gazebo 10x10 hexagon top cover Kmart does not offer replacement parts the cover is in tatters ripped all over I just ordered one from Garden Winds costing me 169.00 I want my money back.

May 7, 2009 - I just happened to look online to see how to clean the outdoor furniture that I purchased from K-Mart a few years ago...It is a Martha Stewart set and I have problems cleaning it. Also, it rusts even though we keep it in a shed over the winter (it's kept out of the elements).

Just want to say I'm very surprised at K-mart and Martha Stewart Enterprises to sell this furniture for the money they charge. I thought we'd be getting a set that would look nice for a few years. I'm very disappointed. Also, I purchased (2) lawn chairs to match our table and chairs. after having them for only a few months they rusted so bad I had to throw them out. talk about a waste of money.

I have already reported my complaint to you but wanted to let people know the table I had that exploded was picked up by a glass company here & they are ordering new glass for the table & a new lazy susan. They are going to fit it with a tempered textured glass at the lovely price of $260.00 pluss tax. Its a very costly repair but it can be done.

Also my set the umbrella ripped out & all of the cushions had to be replaced,so I already had dropped a chunk of cash into keeping the set.If it wasn't so pretty I would have trashed it. I even kept vinyl placemats on my tp protect the glass. Cuts & more cuts cleaning up the hundreds of pieces of glass.

Purchased a Martha Stewart outdoor dining set and outdoor sling chairs and chaise lounges two years ago. Some of the powder coated dining chairs hold rainwater and the coating has flaked off - it's aluminum and doesn't rust but it looks like hell. The manufacturer sent us out new legs to replace the ones w/ peeling coating. We are on umbrella # 3 after the first two broke. I have had to hook up an s-shaped metal garden hanger on the crank handle/pole to stop it from unwinding and the umbrella always sagging.

The sling chairs are the worst...they started rusting within a few weeks. We thought this was outdoor furniture that could be left outdoors. No more Martha Stewart junk for us. Thought we were getting good quality stuff and it wasn't exactly cheap - but we will be replacing everything this spring and are prepared to spend the $$$ we should have spent the first time.

My son purchased a Martha Stewart canopied swing in a frame for me. Within the first year the canopy shredded. I actually purchased material and used what was left of the old canopy as a pattern, and I sewed a new one. Within a few months after the cushion seat began to rip also and has only progressivly gotten worse. I have spent time trying to locate a new one and was not able to find it. I want to let you know that the canopied swing was stored in my basement throughout the winter and only brought out in the spring.

On my front porch now, sits an awful site. My swing has a homemade canopy on it and the seat cushion has a large slit in it. What an eyesore.

I have the Martha Stewart Victoria Collection and I still have my glass, which now I am afraid of after reading all these posts!! But my set started peeling within one year. My set was kept covered and stored inside during winter when we lived at the other house. We have lived for 3 years in a home with a covered screened porch and the set has continued to peel and flake. I bought some of the textured paint and I have roughed up the set and repainted numerous times.

When you pay this much money this should not happen. I cannot believe my glass has not shattered since we moved with the table and we put on it's side and roll from outside deck to inside deck. Even though it is covered it was outside this entire winter and we had a bad winter. I am worried now that it's going to explode.

I purchased a Martha Stewart king size Egyptian mattress pad, which was totally sealed up. The label said it was cotton, which I believed it to be. The first time the cover was washed and dried, the entire under layer melted in the dryer! When I returned to the store I was told, that's too bad. I think the buyer should ensure that something like a mattress pad, should be washed regularly, and the store should accept some responsibility for the products they sell.

There was no way to tell that the lining was not cotton, and I was not protected in my purchase. The store was unsympathetic! I was so furious I left the mattress cover at the store without any refund or anything. I will never trust Kmart again, and I replaced the mattress pad at Bed Bath and Beyond, where they do stand behind their products!

It cost me $50. plus the running around. And Kmart is closer to me than any other bedding store, so it also cost Kmart future sales!

I bought the Martha Stewart Everyday Melrose Gazebo, and half way through last summer we had high winds the gazebo which is not able to be just taken down nor is the canopy and netting designed to be easily removed -however the canopy and netting were shreded and while the winds were strong we had several regular umberlla stands that were fine with no damage, I now find it impossible to find a replacement canopy and the only thing close would cost as much as it did new. I am extremely disappointed part of the reason I was willing to spend the money on this was the Martha Stewart name - I will not make that mistake twice

I bought the Garden Pacific Palisades 6-pc dining set about 3 years ago, and after the first year I started to notice a drastic change in the metal paint around the edges of the table. It started to rust, then peel, I thought maybe, due to the humidity but this IS Patio furniture. Since then it has moved on to the chairs and is not safe to eat at the table for it not is only unsightly but actually scrathes and cuts your arms. Not safe for children to be around especially and with no store receipt what can I do?

I am out 400 Dollars plus and a rusted out patio set on the covered Lanai.

I purchased the Martha Steward Victoria style patio furniture at k-mart on 5/6/03. First the canopy on the swing rotted in the first year. I bought a replacement which only lasted also one year. The same year the umbrella fell apart. In 2007 the cushion on the swing is falling apart. On 4/1/09 the table shattered. The weather has been cool so it's not summer heat and it was at night. This is very scary. I have a inground vinyl pool.My concern was that if any glass
could have fallen in the pool. I am a senior citizen and cannot clean the mess up. I had to hire someone to clean it up. The cleaning had to be very thorough as most people are barefoot on the deck. In trying to find replacement pieces I came across this web site and want to add my complaint about this awful furniture.

Thank you for your attention.

Purchased Martha Stewart Garden Melrose Gazebo June 2009. Woke up one day in September and one part of the glass bar had shattered for no reason. Almost impossible to replace and clean up and it is unusable in its current condition.

Cut fingers, glass in my childs foot, loss of use of item, marring to deck area, hot tub cover and railing.

We purchased the Victoria Martha Stewart patio set back in 2000 at K-Mart in CA. After moving to CO. in 2001 we stored the cushions and umbrella in the winter but left the table and chairs outside. (That first summer we left the cushions on the chairs.) One night in the winter of 2002 we heard a loud crash and the glass tabletop had shattered in to 100's of pieces. Glad no one was sitting at it! Then, at the end of the summer of 2002 we noticed the cushions tore as we took them off to store them. They literally rotted and faded after only one summer outside.

In March of 2009 I checked to buy new cushions at the K-Mart in Colo. Springs and they are $50.00 each on sale! We'd need 8 cushions in all. I also noticed they have a similar set on sale for $399.00 so you could buy the whole set again cheaper than replacing the cushions. What a waste!! I also noticed it has the same glass tabletop. Not good. It cost us around $450.00 for the set not including the love seat and coffee table to have it all ruined after only a couple of years. My husband built a wooden top for the table but we still need to replace the cushions and they are so expensive and we are afraid they will do the same thing. The chairs are oversized so it is hard to find cushions other than Martha Stewart's to fit so hadn't replaced them but decided to check this year.

The cost of the set and trying to now replace the cushions of 8 at $50.00 each.

My wife in the past ordered the magazine Living. She did not renew, and she has been repeatedly billed responded to them that she had not ordered, or renewed they keep billing her. Below is a letter I am sending the billing office today vie U.S. postal service Date: 3/08/09 To: Living Billing Dept Management Subject: Harassment Your invoices for past due payment on your magazine witch had not been ordered has become very upsetting to my wife. Further billings from your magazine WILL be considered harassment. Stated above this was not ordered, and your past due bills have repeatedly returned to you with this fact written on them. Lease stop your strong arm tactics to sell something to some one who has no interest in your 12 issues, and no intentions intensions of paying you to stop the BILLS.

I purchased 4 bath sheets; 2 white and 2 aqua. After the first use, I noticed the aqua towels developed fading in spots like I had spilled bleach on them which I had not done. Both the white and aqua towels leave lint on my body and have also begun to unravel. I did not use fabric softener and no bath products other then soap. I am extremely disappointed as the products, which I bought at Macy's, were not inexpensive but are obviously cheap. I should have known better than to purchase a Martha Stewart product and I will never purchase another one.

My husband and I bought patio furniture 2 years ago. Martha Stewart brand. We put the cushions away for the winter and the next spring a couple of the cushions were splitting apart in the middle of the material. A repeat of storing the cushions and than last spring more cushions split.

For the money we paid we feel we should have had a better quality furniture especially with Martha Stewarts name on it. Now we're going to have to replace the cushions this year which we probably won't beable to match the umbrella that came with the set.

We purchased a amelia collection gazebo for $350.00 We had it for two summers after the first summer we noticed the material on the top was brfittle and rotting. We stored it for the winter and late spring of 08 we went to put it back up and was even more brittle and ripping. We did get it situated and taped it where the ripps were worst mostly at seams where it fit over the end caps of the metal frame. It lasted all of 1 month and it began rotting and falling apart every where.

We contacted K-mart they gave us a # and no one picked up phone We now have a frame and the side screens but no top of the cover. We can't find replacement fabric or deminsions for it

I purchased a complete patio set, the matching rockers, small table and seating area lounger in 2002 and approx 2 yrs later the glass table shattered. I thought it might have been the nieghborhood kids had been responsible since thier softballs are always flying over the fence. I went ahead and purchased a second table. I thought this was just an accident and did not realize it was such a huge problem.

I got online today to search for replacement cushions as the cushions to this set have faded, ripped and mildewed four years ago and I have been left with empty rusted frames. I was even going to sand, repair and repaint the frames. Now I see how naive I have been not to realize that I purchased a product of extreme poor quality. I have a small patio table and chairs that I bought 15 years ago for a fraction of the cost of Martha Stewart and it is still in great shape. Imagine that.

I spent approx $1000 for the whole set which I expected to last longer than it did, and another couple of hundred dollars for the replacement table. We have not been able to utilize our outside space as we do not have anywhere to sit and do not have the money to replace this.

I am ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS!! My MARTHA STEWART Gazebo COLLAPSED! On 4/08/08 my husband and I spent over $1000.00 in the Kmart in Riverhead NY on outdoor merchandise/furniture that is a danger to my family and obviously defective! We purchased the Martha Stewart Everyday Garden Melrose Gazebo item# 028W853287110001 Mfr. model# SS-359-3GZ/3, we purchased the extra stool set, the glass table and chairs to match and an outdoor chandelier for the gazebo.

On 12/20/08(not even a year later!) as the first snow fall of the season began, the Gazebo Collapsed Frame & Canopy collapsed inside itself, smashing everything beneath the metal frame. If any member of my family had been inside it, they would have been crushed & seriously injured, if not killed. Besides the safety matter at hand, the items inside the gazebo were destroyed, which were the glass table, the glass bar & stools and the chandelier. KMart sells these items with a 1 year- 5 year warranty but is now giving me the run around about replacement.

Purchased a five piece Martha Stewart patio set less than three years ago. Table with lazy susan, five chairs, umbrella and lounge. Furniture is rusting just by being on our back deck (no pool). Cushions are ripping and fading. Not broken but worried perhaps I should dispose of glass before someone gets hurt. They are peeling after only two summers out and the cushions and umbrella are very faded and ripping and worst of all I cannot find replacement cushions anywhere! Not a cheap set, WORRIED IN FLORIDA

Unemployed since February, can't meet the financial cost of replacement but worried of injuries.

I bought a Martha Stewart patio set in August 2008, we used it for 2 months cleaned it and put it away for the winter. It is now January 2009 and after taking down our Christmas decorations and putting them away I noticed the Patio set was rusting and the paint is peeling off of the chairs. I wish I checked reports before purchasing the set. I am scared to even put the set out this spring since finding out the glass top could explode, as so many have already. My suggestion to others is DON'T BUY MARTHA STEWARD PATIO SETS.

The Martha Stewart dinnerware that I have specifically states MICROWAVE AND DISHWASHER SAFE. They are not microwave safe!

I received severe burns from handling the items after heating food/drink in the microwave.

WHEN I BOUGHT THIS OUTDOOR FURNITURE SET BY MARTHA STEWART,I HAD SEVERAL PROBLEMS FROM DAY ONE OF ASSEMBLING. FRIST WAS SEVERAL PARTS THAT WERE LOCATED IN GAZEBO BOX WERE BROKEN. i CALLED TO RETURN THE PARTS AND KMART DID WITHOUT QUESTION. But after returning parts they told my husband that after thirty days was up , that i could not return any other parts that were of fault of company that assembled the parts. Two days later my gazeboo was up like picture showed, parts were in proper areas. And then it fell apart... I am so furious from this.

I still have reciept of purchase, all I wanted was for them to replace my gazebo and they refused. They said I had to talk to manufactor, and that number i called and everybody on the other end of the line was of none english speaking. I spent over 1400.00 just on gazebo. I am still upset. When I looked at parts that I gathered they all broke were welding was performed at. My husband was gonna fix it. But we couldn't and didnt want to ruin it anymore then what it was.

Well I took a huge loss as money was concerned, I had to move a reception to another location that costed my family alot. When my yard is giant and the gazebo with settings was perfect for the event. But had no gazebo due to poorly manufactured parts! It was alot of emotional stress, due to having to reorganize a special family and friends event. With working sixty hours a week, and trying to reorganize this party I was stressed, couldnt eat, and had alot of sleepness nights.

In May 2008 I purchased a Martha Stewart Melrose Gazebo from the Indio, California Kmart store. Within 5 months the whole top portion of the canopy is rotted away. I spent $400 for the gazebo and feel that the store should replace the canopy top. I can not get anyone to get me any answers about what to do to resolve this problem. No one wants to take the lead to direct me I who I need to speak with to get the canopy replace.

I purchased the great lakes patio set from Kmart. I was in the house when I heard a loud crash,I looked out the window to see that the glass top on the patio table had shattered into little tiny pieces.

It took me days to clean up the glass due to I did not want my child or my pet to get cut or hurt from leftover glass.

On June 6, 2008, My 11 year old daughter life changed. She was enjoying her summer day, coming out of the pool. As she sat on a Martha Stewart's lounge chair, the legs folded, as she opened the legs so she can sit, her finger was amputed. She was taken to the hospital, where her finger was sewed back on. It is know 5 months later, and my daugher is still seeing an inplantation specialist and has been scared for life. She is not the same happy 11 year old girl she use to be. Has permanent damage to her finger and mentally and physcally traumatised.

Physical damages here are a few> she has a finger that looks diffrent. She has lost feeling of the tip of the fingr. She has nightmares . She cries everytime she remember the incident. She can'tplay sports. Also, there are a lot of medical bills that need to be paid. She goes to a mental therapist to help her with her mental pain.

I purchased 4 sling loungers from the Arcadia Collection 3 summers ago in 2006. The arms become extremly hot in the sun and burned my forearm. Additional, they rusted after the first season. Kmart refused to take them back since it was purchased the year prior and since I lost the reciept. I was refered to the manufacturing co. but they never responded to my letter.

39.99 X4 PLUS TAX

We purchased a Martha Stewart patio set with the leaf pattern on the cushions & table not but 5 months ago. The chairs are already rusting AND when putting it together some of the pieces didnt work like the screws were to small for the holes.

I called the help line on the info that came with the set and they ask for a model number, but this # is no place to be found I was told without this information no help would be provided and kmart said pretty much the same thing!

This complaint is not against K-Mart but the company that makes Martha Stewart furniture. I agree with a couple of the prior complaints, the furniture rusts quickly. My biggest complaint is the rubber/plastic tips on the patio swing. Probably irreplaceable since I have searched for them, but one of mine shattered and now I have a crippled wobbly patio swing. If anybody knows where the leg tips can be purchased, please advise.

After having read all the complaints about Martha Stewart patio furniture I have been cautiously keeping an eye on my 4 year old table. So far, it is still in one piece. But, over the last two weeks we have had some very mysterious (what looks likes burns) on the lounge cushion. We have no children at home and are on a one acre lot with dogs who bark at everything. We seriously doubt it was "done" by "someone" It started on the side with an area about 8 inches long and 3 inches wide. Then a small patch on the back of the back cushion. Today it has two large additional spots on the back. It really looks like someone just hit it with a blow torch. We are totally baffled!! Has

anyone had anything similiar?? If not, I think I believe in ghosts :)

My mother bought a Martha Stewart everyday duck feather pillow & the feathers poke out through the outside covering. Very, very annoying. When I looked at the tag atMarta Stewart, I just shook my head & figured as much.

no real physical damage just complete junk that shouldnt be sold to consumers

Baking chicken in the oven & the pan exploded like a bomb. The pan was not hot or cold before baking, room temp. The pan is less than a year old.

Shards of glass all over the oven. Thank God, I had just closed the oven door seconds before it happened! That glass would have been in my face! I want people to know how unsafe the product is!!!

I purchased an entire set of Martha Stewart Olympia collection patio furniture in 2006. Seven-piece dining set, three chaises, and one small glass top side table. First at about six months' use, the chaises and small table began rusting. They had a one-year guarantee, so I advised K-Mart and the manufacturer. No response from either. The dining set has a powder-coated frame and a five-year guarantee. No rust there. Then last week, the glass top on the large dining table shattered into a million pieces. I was attempting to purchase a replacement top when I found this site. Now I am scared to get another of the same tops. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME HELP.

The chaises and small table look terrible, and the armrests hurt your skin and clothing. As I said above, the glass table top shattered into a million pieces. I am still trying to pick up all that glass. As I have a raised deck, the small pieces also fall through the deck to the under-house driveway and parkiing area, and I have to search for the minute pieces down there so we won't step on/drive on them.

We purchased a table, four chairs, and umbrella for our patio sold by Walmart as a Martha Stewart product. The first minute after we had put up the umbrella, there must have been a slight breeze -- one not large enough to move paper napkins on the table, cotton place mats thereon, etc. However, the umbrella snapped immediately at the place where one turned the handle to open the umbrella. The umbrella fell immediately, hitting me and barely missing my 80-year-old mother and other family and friends.

I'm an attorney, but Walmart said it couldn't replace the umbrella without the tags to show we had purchased it there. Unfortunately, we usually remove tags before we place furniture where it will be used by guests, as was the case that evening. Further, I couldn't think of risking another such scenario with another MS umbrella as it was so obvious that the umbrella was seriously defective when sold to me. I'm so grateful to have come across this website as I believed the product I purchased to have been very dangerous and the defect quite possibly duplicated in other umbrellas made by the manufacturer.

I recently purchased a Martha Stewart eucalyptus wood bistro set and couldn't be happier. Eucalyptus wood is very similar in quality to teak and thanks to Martha, a fraction of the price. I have found that if you treat the wood with teak oil at the end of each season it weathers nicely and looks exactly like teak after a while. Thank you Martha, you've done it again.

This gazebo came apart in the wind ,After only 1 month the metting ripped and the canvus ripped. I paid over $300.00 for this gazsebo and the frame is junk. You can't get replacement parts for the canvus or the scree. The frame is metal but it just slides together and does not stay.

This is demolished and there is no way to fix it or replace the parts. It was a big waste of our money.

While searching for a replacement umbrella for our Martha Stewart glass topped table, I came across this website with all the complaints of shattering glasstops. I was upset that so many of the ribs in our umbrella had broken , but now am concerned about even keeping the table. I'd hate for anyone to get hurt. Has there been no recall issued? No suit settlement? Shame on Martha for not stepping up!

Last week I purchased at K-Mart a Martha Stewart Everyday Mission Bungalow Ensemble Futon for $299.00. After assembling the product, I sat on it for the first time and the whole front wooden bar cracked in half, and the futon fell to the floor! I went on the web and read numerous sites that had consumer ratings and experiences with this particular piece of furniture, and at least half of the reviews stated that this same thing happened to them!

Upon inspection of the broken board, I can't beleive that they are selling a sofa with a flimsy, thin piece of wood as a structural, load bearing support that broke IMMEDIATELY. I am not an overweight person. Obviously this is happening to everyone that buys this. Returning it for another one makes no sense, because it will come with the same flimsy wood. I wrote an email to Kmart and have had no response so far.

This futon was purchased for my disabled brother who is coming to live with me, as my mother is elderly and can no longer care for him. This futon cost me an entire weeks salary, plus I had to pay someone with a truck to take me to pick it up and help me unload it. I am extremely concerned that this would have broken with my disabled brother laying on it, or if anyone purchases it for a child or an elderly person they could really get hurt.

Otherwise this sofa is sturdy and seems to be of good quality. But as a single mother living paycheck to paycheck, this has devastated me, and I have no idea what I am going to do for my brothers sleeping arrangement. Taking this product back is not an option, as I do not drive and this thing is extremely heavy, and already put together. I am very upset, and scared that someone eventually is going to get hurt.

I bought two, eight place settings of Martha Stewart white dishes. I have had them two years and now they are all discolored. The dishes show all gray marks made by forks, knives, and spoons. They look terrible! All of the dishes are ruined.

I purchased a Martha Stewart Monticello outdoor patio set apporximately 7 years ago from Kmart. I loved the set and was extremely happy with it until last year when the chairs started ripping for no apparent reason. These chairs were brought into the house each winter. I was happy to find another set of chairs from a different collection that matched pretty well to make the set complete again.

Then yesterday while I was in the house, I heard a noise like something had fallen off a wall and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the glass from the table shattered and all over the deck! Out of the blue, it had exploded into a million pieces for no apparent reason! It took hours to clean up and luckily no one was on or near the deck when it happened. I do not want a replacement table for it, but I think that Martha Stewart's company should pay for the replacement glass that I will attempt to purchase from a glazier.

And then I read all the other complaints for the same item. These tables should NOT be manufactured anymore if this is the results of having it 1 year or 10 years. Prior to this I had a glass table for over 20 years and nothing happened to it. It should be investigated and something should be done and we should be somehow reimbursed. I will never purchase anything with her name on it again. Thank you!

Martha Stewart Garden Victoria Collection Patio Set Glass Table Top EXPLODED/SHATTERED for no reason. Also, the arms of the chairs that were apart of the set rusted. The set was purchased from Kmart in Olathe,KS. 03/03/2002.

Economic Damage: estimated $448.86. Physical Damage: Shattered glass completely over deck, falling to the patio below.

I thought both [their] India and China offiliates were very unprofestional. Neither country answered the phone identifing them selves when you call. I then could not understand them nor could they understand me. Both told me to e-mail them. What if I was elderly and didn't have a computor? I got a diffected Gazebo canopy and want one to repace if. It took 5 hours to totally put it up. Please respond. Thank you

We purchased the Martha Stewart round table with lazy susan with five chairs, umbrella, sofa and coffee table approximately two years ago. The weather resistent coating has been chipping and peeling from all the metal tables, chairs and sofa since about six months after purchase. We have always kept all of the furniture covered with outdoor furniture covers when not in use. Last night (July 26, 2008) at approximately 8:30 p.m. (it was 84 degrees outside), we heard noises from our deck. The round table and coffee table glass had completely shattered into a million pieces.

The round table and coffee table are absolutely useless to us at this point. The glass was supposed to be tempered so this would not happen. We know that to replace the glass, it would be more than we feel we should have to pay for something that should have never happened in the first place. Now we have a table with an umbrella and five chairs that can't be used for entertaining nor can the coffee table with the sofa. I can't believe they can get aways with this, especially after all the other complaints we have seen of the exact same thing happening. These were not inexpensive items. I believe that we paid around $1,000 for all items purchased.

The Victorian Patio set is very poorly made. I bought the entire set, the table, 5 chairs, 2 rockers, loveseat, coffee table, swing, and chaise lounge chair. Our set has rusted terribly, even after being stored, our coffee table glass exploded and shattered into a million pieces and every cushion has shredded. Imagine the horror in getting the cushions out of storage and going to pick one up and your fingers going completely through the fabric. I am very disappointed in the not only the product but the fact that the company will not stand behind it's product!

I only had the furniture less than 2 years - Always stored win bad weather conditions. We spent over $1,000 on this set and we have to purchase a new set or spend additional monies to recover the fabric. I will never buy items from K Mart or Martha again! - NO HELP from Martha or K Mart.

We bought a Martha Stewart gezabo from K-mart last summer (07) the model number SS-3593GZ/3. The screening on it has totally fallen aprart on it. It has ripped all off the buidling not to mention the screen has huge holes every where in it. It now looks like crap and will be unable to use again. Let me also mention that we did NOT leave it up during the winter months but took it down and put it in storage to protect it hoping it would last us for several seasons. We are now looking for some place to replace the screening on it but have no idea where to turn to to do this any ideas where we can get this thing fixed?

I am on my third patio table from Martha Stewart. So far the present table is holding up ( the glass shatters for no obvious reason). The set is three years old. This summer the sling back chairs ripped( so far 4 out of six). The manager of Kmart graciously replaced the glass tables. But he had enough with the chairs and told me that he can't do anything sice that warranty is expired. This product is a hazzard to the public and something has to be done about it before there is a tradgedy.

There fortunately was no physical damage in any of the accidents. Except for being shaken and startled. The economic damage to me is the cost of the chairs and now the disposal of them no to mention having to buy a whole new patio set. Obviously not from K-Mart or Sears.

I purchased a outdoor patio set and it is ripped, faded, metal peeling. It is awful. We have had this 4 years and it has fallen apart from year one. We are so disappointed in this furniture it is unusable after 3 years. We live in colorado so we only use the furniture 3 mths out of the year and it is in a shed the rest of the year. This product is junk and should not be sold ever again.

Bought Martha Stewart Victorian patio table w/5 chairs & umbrella 4 yrs. ago. Second summer of use one quiet, still night the table top just shattered and dropped in place into trillions & trillions of pieces. KMart told us to contact manufacturer, it was not their problem. They told us the glass could not be replaced only option was to purchase a new table which out of the goodness of their heart they were willing to sell us for $125.00. This happened less than a week before I was to host a backyard shower. I needed the table. Presented with the choice of $125.00 or $400.00 or $500.00 for a new set we brought the second table.

We are now using this set for the 4th summer. The frames are rusted, the umbrella has no color it is so faded and the seat pads totally faded and the fabric just dry rotted and fell apart on every single chair even tho we stored them in the house after every summer.

After my husband searched the internet & stores for weeks this spring he was not able to find replacement pads other than Martha's. The set uses oversized pads-seat & back. Martha no longer offers Vitoriana but one of similiar pattern but different color. These cushions fit the chairs but the snaps in back and on the bottom of the seats do not match up with the chair frames. Because of this seats tend to slide.

We spent $400.00 for the original set, $125.00 for the second table and $275.00 for new chair pads that don't fit. We also have a very faded raggy looking umbrella. These are way too many problems and too much money in a 4 yr. period. The product is inferior.

The Martha Stewart 'Victoria Set is horrible,,Kmart will not help out. The canopy is shredded the swing rusts.

LOst good money for a product that Kmart won't stand behind.

Been using this set for several years; finally had a chair fabric rot out, after sitting outside in 4' of snow and sub-zero temps thru several winters; once the table blew across the 20' brick patio in a high wind and landed upside down but didn't break, couldn't figure out why not.

All I want to know is, where can I get replacement chairs?

bought a martha stewart outdoor screeneed room gazebo. we are a low income family so we did this with our tax money. not even 1 season and the canopy and netting is falling apart. e paid nearly 300 for this item. we havent been able to get any answers about replacement peices. we are out 300 dollars. and my once beautiful backyard escape is hanging in tatters.

We purchased the Martha Stewart Victoria Collection set from K-Mart approx 4 years ago. Chairs rusted the first year we owned the set. The chairs cushions broke down and shredded within the first year. Then, in the spring this year, in the middle of the night we hear a crashing sound and run outside to find the lazy susan glass table had shattered without provocation.

We called K-Mart and they told us there was nothing they could do. No refund, no replacement... tough luck Mr. Consumer!

Recently I began looking for a new canopy cover for the three swing Vicitoria Martha Stewart set purchased at Kmart in '05. The cover completely shredded and to this point it has been difficult to find a replacement. During my search, I saw the stories about the shattering table. I purchased the original Victoria Set (Glass Table, 5 chairs, umbrella, umbrella stand) somewhere from '02 - '03. Not sure of the dates. I came home from work in '05 to find the glass table had shattered all over my deck. I just assumed that maybe it had gotten too hot, or possibly a neighbor had done it.

I promptly went to Kmart, and luckily? they had one more table in stock which I purchased. So now I have purchased two of these tables, and I guess I should expect this one to break as well which is really scary. I am not so concerned about the rust issue (that's what touchup paint is for). Not to happy that I cannot find a replacement canopy. Also very concerned about the possible 2nd defective table I have, and the fact that had I not been looking for replacement parts, I would never have known about this issue.

The swing was approximately $200, and the Table was approximately $100. Both may have been on sale. No physical damage occurred. I now have a table that I am scared to use for safety reasons (purchased twice), and a swing that is unusable as intended with the canopy.

I bought a set of her flannel sheets. THEY stink. I've washed them 5 times, bleached them, boraxed them, washed them in vinegar and even washed with baking soda and they are still putrid.I also bought a glass Christmas ornament from her collection and the glass shattered with minimal force.

Lost the $80 they cost plus the duty I paid to bring them back to Canada.I won't ever buy any of her products again.

I purchased the Victoria Round top leaf imprinted lazy susan table and five chairs in 2001. I put the table in the garage every fall. Take it out every spring. It's still in fine shape except the legs are starting to rot off and the paint is peeling off. My glass top has not exploded. It is next to my fish pond, so I think it should be removed in case it does. I have hundreds of dollars invested in Japanese Koi. I don't want to see them or any of my animals and family members injured by such carelessness and denial over such a dangerous piece of furniture. Martha should stand by each and every one of her loyal customers just like we stood by her when she went to prison.

I purchased my beautiful outdoor MS furniture 2 years ago. First, I noticed the box sounded funny as we unloaded it at home, but the manager assured me it didn't have to be opened in the store, everything was fine. We opened the box to find thousands of tiny pieces of glass from the shattered table.

After a month, they found another table for me that I had paid for the previous month. I had 6 chairs only for 5 weeks and no table to eat on in the hot summer months. The next table had two bent legs and I called relentlessly to finally get an answer at a small warehouse and was told by a woman they were very busy and only had a few employees. Finally 6 weeks passed before I got new legs.

I put my set in the shed and covered it. In April, I brought out my set, with 2 lounge chairs, my thin mother-in-law sat down first and fell right through the strapping seats to the metal cross-bar. One by one each and everyone ripped through.

What's up Martha?

We purchased a Martha Stewart patio set fromn K Mart. We thought we were getting quality. Soon after we brought it home the plastic webbing under the cushions broke loose. The chairs are almost worthless now. We spent a lot of money on this purchase and are very disapointed at the waste of money.

It appears that Martha is not very discriminating about what she puts her name on. I will never purchase another Martha Stewart product.

I have a Victoria Martha Stewart set that is at least 6 years old. I too, am disappointed in that the fabric on the cushions started to disintegrate after only one season of use, despite being stored indoors during the winter. They were even covered by a canopy during the time they were out in the summer, so no sun exposure. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, however, the table has endured just fine!.

We did not have room to store it inside so my husband took down the canopy and left the table outside ALL YEAR LONG FOR SIX YEARS, and miraculously, no shattering has occured. Could it have something to do with the cold and then the heat tempering the glass in some way? Sounds far-fetched even to me, but nonetheless, odd considering all the above comments. Wish I could purchase replacement cushion with some assurance that they would wear better.

Purchased: FALL 2005~ MARTHA STEWART- VICTORIAN Patio Furniture Collection= round glass top table w.{lazy S}+ 5 chairs w cushions.House Warming $$$ used for new purchase for our new home! 1st used 2006 outside! Started noticing the furniture was discolored /then pitted/ then fully rusting out/ cushions sagging not support/ weak straps for cushion support/ glass top shattering/ cracking! WHAT A DISGRACE! Called KMART-SEARS-NCR-JRA= LIP SERVICE is what I received= NO ACTION= NO HELP ++ JRA filed Bankruptcy Just a thousand number to call all playing the same GAME! Someone should be made to correct this situation & make good for the loss!

Complete set has rusted out/pitted/glass shattered/cushion problems. NOT Three years old with inside care & covers!

Called the Dale City, Va. K-Mart , since this is where I originally purchased the Martha Stewart Patio set and was told there was no replacement parts and there was nothing they could do. My 4 year young set...5 chairs, umbrella and table (with lazy susan) is rusting, feet are falling off, the joints where arms and legs meet are separating, and paint is peeling. I thought I could buy the paint and touch up, and replace feet, but to no avail. This was my first ever patio set, and have taken care of it...covered it, stored it in winter etc. I am very disappointed to have found this website and realize that Martha nor K-Mart stand behind their products. Shame on them.

They have lost me as a customer. But why should they care, they already got my money. Now my biggest fear is when is my table going to blow up? I do not have the money to replace it now, and my 600.00 tax check wouldn't even buy me a decent table and two chairs. As the old story goes, they are going to wait until someone gets killed or at least seriously injured.

rust, feet falling off, paint peeling, cushions faded, arms and legs separating from main frame, umbrella stand rusted through completely

I purchased the Martha Stewart Olympia Outdoor Table, Chairs, Bar and stools in May of last year. I could only purchase a cover for the table and chairs, none available for the bar and stools. The furniture is stored on the patio that is covered so has little to no exposure to rain.

I paid 740.00 for the entire set and that to me is a large amount of money for something that did not hold up for more than a year.

I bought some Martha Stewart blinds from sears, I washed and dryed them first off by carefully reading the instructions how to on the tag. I washed them in cold water and put them in the dryer on low, the cotton curtains were washed and dryed together with no other laundry with them. Once they were finished in the dryer I brought them upstairs and hung the back up on the curtain rod.

I noticed that one of the curtains had faded in color and had also shrunk a half of an inch. I am very unhappy about this, I paid enough money for them and now they look like too different blinds. my sister even commented on them saying that they looked different. Now I have to replace the curtains and spend more money. I am very upset about this whole situation.

I had bought patio set by Martha Stewart Collection in summer of 2006 I spent approxamately $500 of the set of 6 chairs, table, umbrella and the cushions. My glass table has not yet shattered like most but the cusions that were stored away in a storage box for just them started to tear the next summer and now this summer I pulled open the umbrella and 2 of the metal rods are completley rusted and the purchase of a new umbrella and cusions is almost the same price as the set. Anything with her name on it I'm walking away.

I WILL HAVE TO PURCHASE A NEW UMBRELLA AND CUSIONS TOTAL WILL ADD UP TO AT LEAST $300 THERE WAS NO PHYSICAL DAMAGE TO ANYTHING OR ANYONE

we originally had problems with the martha stewart furniture as far as our cushions disintegrating within the first few months of purchase. They replaced the cushions for us, but they just disntegrated again and we have replaced these with others we bought. The new info though on the glasstops shattering really concerns us. We have 2 dogs as well as 2 children and we are afraid for them. Please let us know how we can get involved with the class action suit, so that when our tables do shatter we have something we can do.

We have had to spend $400+ for new cushions that will last longer than the 2 former sets.

Wrote a complaint to Martha Stewart .com about the Amelia Patio Set 5 chairs 1 Round` Table..2nd year in a row the straps are coming away from the frame.First year was offered a coupon to repair chairs refused wanted new chairs That was done..Second set of chairs and straps are coming away. Was not offered anything because I refused the first coupon.

I was offered no help at all..Was not able to exchange.I have $300.00 worth of chairs that are falling apart.Want to return the whole set and get the $400.00 full purchase back. Will not buy anything by Martha Stewart again.

I purchased a patio set from k-mart in Marlton New Jersey, it was the Marta Stewart Amelia Island Set It had a lazy susan on the top of it, one night while sitting at the table eating dinner the whole glass top shattered, except the lazy susan that did not. I contacted k-mart and they said that they could do nothing about it because the manufacturer J.R.A. has filed bankruptcy and the company manufacturing that model now is not taking up for the company that has manufacturing the faulty table's. I asked them then why is Martha Stewart doing something about this her name is on it, and i was told that she has nothing to do with it.

Because i had the set for over 90days there is nothing that can be done. a few weeks later someone contacted me from sears and k-mart and told me i could have a glass maker cut another piece to fit into the table, or put wood in it and construct a mosiac tile top, and for the chipped parts, i could get some touch up paint and fix that. i paid almost $500.00 for this set, and this is what you get, this is ridiculous! i cannot afford another set like this one and you think Martha Stewart would back her product, the set sits on my patio with no glass in it,

It's such a shame that in this day and age you spend money like that, and you get no satisfaction for the product being manufacture wrong with bad materials. when i saw on the news that i was not the only one who has experienced this i was amazed, they made like to me on the phone that this was such an isolated incident. please donot let these people get aways with this, the american public works hard for their money and things like patio furniture cannot be purchased every season.

results were no glass in my patio set due to faulty materials used. and the final result is the Amelia Island set that i fell in love with sits on my patio, with no glass unuseable and basically a piece of JUNK!

i purchased a mattress cover from k-mart the first time i washed it fell apart.this was for a king size bed.the brand name was martha stewart everyday rn#15881.i guess when you have a lot of money you do not need to wash these products just throw them away and get a new one.i do not have that kind of money.not a happy customer of martha stewart products

I was scanning the internet trying to see if I could find someone to repair my Martha Stewart Mesh chairs. They have split and are unsafe to use. In the meantime, I came acrossed a website that showed a multitude of complaints about the exact same outdoor table and chairs I purchased. I am a nervous wreck about the table shattering at any given moment. I am very dissappointed with the chairs when they split and can no longer use them. Can anyone help me with this matter.

We purchased the Martha Stewart Living Victoria Collection patio set in 2003. After one year, the chairs started rusting and after two years the cushions began fading and tearing. We brought the set inside during the winter to protect it, but still had premature rusting. We like the sturdy chairs, so we'll try to sand down the rust spots and touch up with some paint. However, we are now concerned for our safety with the etched glass table, as there are numerous reports of the glass exploding. We think that we will now have to dispose of the table to prevent potential injuries, and purchase a replacement table.

We had a difficult time finding a matching replacement of the torn Martha Stewart cushions. We finally purchased new sage green cushions for $240.00 that will look sufficient with the chairs, but will not match the umbrella.

Bought the Martha Stewart Everyday Garden Surfside 5-pc. dining set, and umbrella. Before long, and for no apparent reason, the glass on the table shattered. I called K-Mart, they told me to write to Kmart Buying Office, with the complaint.I received a letter back from Lacy Darga, Kmart Lawn and Garden Liaison, stating she was sorry, and that I needed to contact the manufacturer. I called Numark Industries Company Ltd, to no avail. They could not help me in any way.

I now have the frame of a table, 4 chairs, and an umbrella. I believe this is unfair, in light of all the emails I read from other people about the table shattering. I buy all of Martha Stewart's product, at K-Mart, I'm appalled that this table had a defect, and I should not be compensated in some way.

I purchased the complete set of Martha Stewart Victorian patio furniture in June 2002. I stumbled upon this website as I was looking to replace cushions for my entire site. The set has not worn well and cushions are a mess, however the glass on my coffee and dinning tableshave not shattered yet. After reading the hundreds of complaints I am scared to death I'm housing a time bomb on my patio. I have children and pets outside all year as I am in California. Should I assume it will happen to me and just get rid of all the tables? I don't really know at this point what to do. Are there any class action law suits in Calif. that you are aware of. Any info would be helpful.

We purchased the Martha Stewart Outdoor Living patio set four years ago from KMart. It was the premier set, and we bought all the pieces. All of the furniture stays under our large covered patio and is never exposed to direct sunlight. We noticed severe fading of the fabric, presumably from the reflection of the pool. After two years, the fabric just starting ripping and tearing. The metal is also rusting on the edges of the table top, chairs, and setees.

We have low humidity here and the furniture never gets wet from rain. It is actually hardly ever used. I was actually looking for replacement cushions when I found this site. I am deeply disappointed in this purchase. We purchased this from KMart only because of the Martha Stewart name. I wll not make the same mistake again.

We wasted our money on this entire set. As a matter fact, I am finding that it would be cheaper to replace the whole thing (13 pieces) than it would to purchase all new cushions. That is a sorry state after only four years.

I purchased the Marth Stewart Victoria Collection. Table with center turntable, 6 chairs, Chaise lounge chair, umbrella, loveseat and oval table to go with loveseat. I have kept all the pieces covered when not in use and stored inside during the winter. The table and chairs are rusted and the cusions are shredded. They are about useless. I have read the many articles about the glass shattering. I am worried about my grandkids and dogs being outside around the table if mine shatters. I fell like I should dispose of the glass before someone gets hurt. I feel I should be reimbursed for all the funiture and umbrella I purchased from K-Mart.

I just came from KMart to get replacement cushions and I can go elsewhere and purchase a whole new patio set for the price of replacing the cusions and who is to guarantee that the new cusions are any better then the first ones. I take excellent care of everything I own and this product should last a very long time from the way I have taken care of it. It looks like junk. I feel there should be a class action suit against Kmart and Martha Stewart. With my fear of the glass shattering around my grandkids and pets I am going to go purchase another brand from a company not associated with K-mart or Martha Stewart. Please let me know if there is a contact to get some satisifaction from this inferior (and apparently dangerous)product.

I spent a great deal of money on all the pieces I purchased. Now I have to get it all replaced which will cost me time and money to find another set.

I purchased a Martha Stewart Olympia Gazebo from Kmart last summer [2007]and didn't even get a full year of use from it. The canopy dry-rotted and ripped to shreds during a storm. I have looked every where to purchase a replacement top but there are none to be found. I even contacted Sears, since the two stores have merged, and they had nothing in their system for replacement parts. On an item this costly [especially in these hard times] you would think they would have parts in stock for their consumers. Sounds as if Martha Stewart does not stand behind her product.

I feel as though I have thrown away over $400 of my hard earned money on this. I am really disappointed in this product and certainly would not recommend it to anyone else.

We purchase the Amelia Patio set with 5 chairs and a table and the matching Gazebo. Over the winter, the canopy top rippped to shreds and the netting also tore in several places. After reading about all the table shattering problems, I am worried. This was a major purchase of nearly $1000. Something needs to be done to remedy everyone problems with the Martha Stewart brand of outdoor furniture.

We have lost $1000. The whole set needs replaced with no canopy top on the gazebo, nor netting, and the fear of the table shattering and causing injury or damage to a new inground pool.

I purchased the Martha Stewart Gazebo Victoria Collection. The top Hexagon completely bent down and is unusable.

We purchased a full patio set with a loveseat and cocktail table including cushions and 2 rockers. We have had lots of rust and pit damage, and the cushions did not even last a full season before they were falling apart. They said to use Martha Stewart paint for touch up, but you can't find it anywhere. Also, one of the chairs never would sit properly, and we finally found out the the foot of the chair was on backwards. I am a very dissatisfied customer of Martha Stewart's and I will not recommend her products to anyone. When you spend almost a thousand dollars for a patio set you would think it should last more than a year.

We purchased a Martha Stewart Patio Set (1 glass top octagonal table and 6 Mesh-type chairs along with matching umbrella) about 4 years ago. The second year, the glass on the table top exploded and glass shattered and dropped onto the deck and got lodged between the wood slats. We're still picking pieces of glasses out two years later. Also, the chairs started caving in, and the mesh ripped. Called the company, but they said all they can do is for us to mail them back to the Manufacturer (Hampton Bay) for inspection of the problem. Needless to say, it would be prohibitively expensive to ship 4 chairs from NY to California to have them inspected, and then pay for whatever the repair might be. So, we've considered the whole set a loss, but Martha Stewart will never be considered again for her products. She doesn't even stand behind the merchandise she represents. Hope you can represent and support all these consumers who have been ripped off. Thank you.

We've had to replace the set. We were out the $499.00. Actually our original set didn't even wear out. We had to give it away because we just got tired of it after 15 years. Martha Stewart's set didn't even make it to 4 years.

I have garden furniture by Martha Stewart that was purchased a K-mart. I bought the furniture in 2002, and the table shattered, and the umbrella and stand rusted together. I went on the computer to find out how to get in touch with Ms Stewart to tell her about this, and the web site has nothing to go on. I now have to buy another table that doesn't match my set because the set is a few years old. The glass shattered into thousands of pieces and the pole has rusted itself to the stand.

All of my pieces are by Ms. Stewart. The color is bronze, and the table was smooth with a kind of basket weave pattern. I've read that there is a five-year warranty on her furniture, but if you take care of it like I have, it should last longer that that.

As a housewarming gift, my mother purchased me a Martha Stewart outdoor patio set for $700. Well, I got one summer's use out of it, put it in my garage for the winter, and the cushions are splitting, the glass shattered into thousands of pieces, and the paint all chipped off. ARE YOU KIDDING me? $700 for this? Absolutely absurd.

I called Kmart, and they supposedly never heard of this happening and referred me to a customer service number. Called it, and just as with others, I was directed to buy a new set.... According to consumer affairs this has happened to thousands of people. I cannot believe that companies are allowed to get away with this! Now I am stuck with this big heavy pile of metal that I have nothing to do with! No thanks, Martha!

The economic damage was losing $700 on a patio set that was unusable the very next year! I could have bought one for $100 that would have held up better than this. Unreal!

Bath Towels with name of Martha Stewart have been laundred only twice, now the ends are frayed. There two towels in this condition.

Will have to purchase more towels since these were in the guess bathroom

I bought the Martha Stewart Victorian line. I spent over a thousand dollars. It is three years old and has been on a covered ( screened lanai). Today, I noticed rust developing at a rapid pace. I also touched one of the cushions, and it literally shredded. I decided to touch the cushion next to it, and it did the same thing. The fabric is literally tearing at the slightest touch. I've never seen such a thing. The bad news is finding cushions that match and fit. Is their any recourse from the billionaire (Martha Stewart)? I agree with the others who have complained; however, I can't imagine her receiving monies from all of the consumers with faulty products. Is there a way to do a class action lawsuit?

No injury at this time; however, I have the same Lazy Susan top table that all the complaints are about.

I recently bought a MARTHA STEWART HYDRANGIA BUTTER DISH. It says on the box that it is twice fired and is dishwasher safe. When I washed the butter dish for the first time in the dishwasher one side of it turned brown. I researched butter dishes for a long time before choosing the Martha Stewart one, thinking that the name Martha Stewart meant quality. Now I no longer think of the word quality when Stewart's products are mentioned. I am a full-time caregiver for my daughter. We are on a very limited budget. $25.00 for a butter dish may not seem like a lot to some people but it is to us. It is very disappointing not to be able to trust Stewart's organization who seem to pride themselves for their quality goods. We will not buy any of Martha Stewart's products again. Please convey this complaint to the Martha Stewart Company. Thank you for your time.

After 1-1/2 years of Florida climate, the entire bar set is rusted; legs are now 3 inches shorter due to the metal falling apart from rust.

Legs are all rusted and have totally disintegrated and stained my patio deck, causing me more money to have the rust stains removed by a power washing company.

I used the 5 qt. red enamel casserole as directed. After only 3 uses, the enamel flaked off the bottom of this pot. Not only was the food ruined, but the pot retailed for $100! I purchased at 1/2 price due to store credit card promo - regardless, this confirms the shoddy nature of all the martha stewart products i have tried, from her sheets at k-mart to the high end cookware at macys. i'll never buy her products again. macy's was able to refund only the most recent sale price for the product since i had not kept the receipt and they could not locate the sale using their credit card data.

Loss of about $15 groceries, not to mention that a $100 product was completely defective,

I purchased a gazebo in May of 2007 and dismantled it in November of 2007 and the entire canvas just shredded into a million pieces around every sewn part . I contacted K-Mart where I purchased the gazebo and the Martha Stewart outdoor dining set, and all they did was give me a number that was no longer in service.

I spent over $1000.00 for this set, and it fell apart in 6 months. Had I known that Martha Stewart was all garbage I would have gone more upscale.

We bought the Martha Stewart Victoria round table, umbrella, 5 chairs, loveseat and table, gazebo, swing w/ canopy and 2 rockers in April 2005. On June 1, 2005 we exchanged the umbrella because of a defect. We kept all of the furniture covered when not in use that summer and stored them inside for the winter. Then we purchased another table and 5 chairs the following April, (they were on lay-away until 5/30/06). When we pulled everything out for use at the beginning of summer '06, we realized how much the first set had faded when compared to the new set. By the middle of the summer many of the cushions from the first purchase had tears in them. Once again everything was stored inside for winter, but by the summer of 2007, all the cushions and the swing canopy had large tears. Additionally, several of the attachment loops have torn off the gazebo. And, if that isn't enough, the metal on all the pieces is pitted and discolored. It all needs to be replaced but of course we can't afford that right now. Very, very disappointing!!

Financial loss as follows: first purchase $1726.87 second purchase $419.99

My Martha Stewart patio furniture chairs somehow got water in to them on the bottom of the chairs and got extremely messed up.K-mart told me to call Martha...RIGHT!We won't buy any more of her stuff. Our set is ruined now.

We paid over 400 humdred for the whole set plus more money for another set to go along with it and umbrella which broke also.

I have a cmplaint about the silverware I bought from K-Mart. The silverware gets rust spots on it. This is a Martha Stewart product, very heavy set but when you wash it (dishwasher)or by hand you get rust! I paid around $50.00 for this and did not pay for rust! I would like to know if other people have had the same problem? What can be done?????

Just can not use this product!

We purchased the Martha Stewart Victoria 5-pc. Patio Set, Umbrella, and four matching folding chairs several years ago from K-Mart. Within the first year the arms on the chairs began to rust. Yesterday we were shocked to find the glass insert in the patio table had shattered into a million pieces! The glass lazy susan was okay and still on top of the table.

We could still hear the crackling of the glass on the floor of the deck. Our neighbor described the sound to us, as an explosion.

We are just thankful no one was sitting at the table at this time or even in the area, as the glass was everywhere.

In 2003 my husband and I purchased the complete set of lawn furniture of Martha Stewart at almost $1300. We had just bought a new house and we thrilled with the look that it gave our new patio and furniture. Our patio furniture was stored inside our garage and we have only used it for 2.5 seasons.

We brought it out this season and the entire chair coverings are dry rotted and in pieces. It is a shame to pay that much money for an item and be able to enjoy it so very little.

I purchased a Martha Stewart glider swing with canopy late last summer and after only two months of use, the canopy has faded and the webbing has stretched so you can not sit on it.

I will ask Kmart and JRA Industries to replace it but I doubt they will after reading everyone else's experiences with this furniture.

The Martha Stewart patio table set that I purchased at Kmart shattered for no apparent reason. It was taken very good care of by my Mother and I. Also the top on the patio swing shredded into pieces like it had rotted. I gave good money that was hard earned by me and I bought this set as a Mother's day gift, turns out some gift, guess the joke was on me.

My wife and I purchased the Martha Stewart Victorian Patio Furniture set from Kmart. This included the round glass table 5 chairs and umbrella with stand. We also purchased the matching swing.

The cushions have all faded and the table and chairs have peeled and rusted. The damage to this furniture is unbelievable. I contacted Kmart and the sales Manager told me that there is nothing they can do, and to contact the manufacturer.

We purchased Martha Stewart Victorian Patio Furniture in May 2004. That very first season I noticed a small amount of rust on the edge of the table. The furniture/cushions were stored in our basement for the following winter; and when we brought out the set in the spring 2005, the cushions were faded and crackly. The moment we sat on them, the fabric shredded.

By the summer of 2006, the cushions had to be pitched as the stuffing was coming out of them. Also, what started out as a small amount of rust on the arms of the chairs developed into chunks of rust/finish flaking off of the chairs, staining my deck below. This was on EVERY chair and around the edge of the table.

My husband and I purchased MARTHA STEWART VICTORIAN PATIO FURNITURE ON 4-03-05. We purchased the Victorian patio table/5 chairs, umbrella, stand, 2 rockers, lounge chair and the matching plant stands. WE spent well over $1000.00 on this patio set. It is now 05-06-07 and we had to go and purchase a whole new table and 4 chairs with one small 24 inch side table and spent over $2300.00 hoping that by spending more money it will hold up.

The cushions have shred, the chairs are peeling, the umbrellas have ripped and these items were taken very good care of. I have to say I am very upset over this and will never buy anything of Martha Stewarts again. It was not a good experience dealing with Jra Furniture.

Bought a Martha Stewart patio set - $700 worth of glass topped table, umbrella, stand, 2 rockers, 3 stationary chairs, 6 cushions, swing with canopy and cushion in 2005. Glass top shattered in fall of 2005 under no type of use...just sitting there. Chairs are rusting at welds. Swing netting (holds cushion in) came apart at the seam -- the entire thing that holds the swing rod for the seat. Cushions on chairs faded terribly. This patio set LOOKED good in the store ----has been a nightmare after purchase.

I purchased a patio set and the glass shattered. I have tried numerous times to e-mail and obtain information on where I can replace this item with no avail. No response or solution for a glass replacement.

The patio was worth over 500.00 and simply because the glass shattered I will need to purchase another table that is not part of the set.

We purchased the Martha Stewart Asheville table and four chairs at Kmart last May and by July the straps on the chairs where coming out of the frame. We tried to return the item to Kmart but they would not take it back. They said we had to contact the manufacturer. We ended up packing the furniture away. I have just unpacked for this summer and it makes me so mad that I spent $200.00 and I have chairs that I have to try and repair after only using for a few months.

I bought the Victorian Garden Swing and on the second summer the material rotted and ripped right through the top. How do I go about getting a replacement one? I have a nice swing but can't enjoy it due to any cover. I loved the collection and bought the table and chair set and was planning on buying the remainder of the set but now that I have seen what the products does after 2 years. I am not wasting my money.

It was a waste of my money to buy a nice looking set to only have it look terrible after two years of use. It was protected during the winter month and taken very good care of. I can't believe this is such a waste of money. Another dissatisfied customer!

We purchased Martha Stewart patio furniture paying $2000.00 about 4 years ago. My chairs have rusted and paint is cracking off around that rust. The cushions are very faded on all my chairs and shredding on the lounge chairs. The materials used are sub standard for outdoor use.

Martha Stewart Patio Furniture.. Purchased over $1200 ON SALE 2004 JUNE 2005--rusted.. !! No warranty.. nothing to be done 2005-- cushions split, umbrella slits in fabric.. despite limited use and being stored in basement FABRIC IS SHODDY AND APPEARS TO HAVE DRY ROT.. FRAMES ARE RUSTED.

I purchased the Martha Stewart patio collection, and within a few months the bolts from under one of the rocking chair sheared off, sending me directly to the ground. I examined the entire set and found the welds were breaking away from the frames, more sheared off bolts and a cracked support, obvioulsy all factory defects.

We complained to K-Mart and they only sent out two replacement tops for the rockers. The bolts keep shearing and welds keep breaking. I never thought this poor quality of product could be passed off in this country. We paid alot of money for this JUNK and are extremely dissatisfied.

I purchased a 4-ply garden hose (martha Stewart)and when i opened the packing in the inside was a warning label stating that this product contains one or more chemicals known to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm and to wash hands after handling (known in the state of California). So what does this mean the hell with N.Y. so sell it elsewhere? My husband is a cancer survivor and this has gotten me very upset. Also who reads inside a garden hose label.

I purchased a three person garden swing with a cover over the top. The fabric components have rotted due to out door use, which is expected over time. But the swing is only three years old and we can NOT get a replacement cover for the top. Cushions were available but now I can't find them either. It just seems to me that a company as big as Kmart and Martha Stewart should provide replacement items for these kind of furnishings. The swing itself is in perfect condition and of good quality but it is unusable due to the inability to procure a replacement cushion and cover.

Enjoyment lost due to unusable condition because of failure to provide replacement articles.

I purchased a Martha Stewart patio set with six chairs in April 2002. The chair seats have all come apart and just this weekend (7-16-06) the table shattered into a million pieces.

I purchased the Olympia octagon patio set. One year after we had it (kept it stored in the garage during the winter to protect it) the glass shattered out of the table. We could not replace it with plexi because it is over 4' in diameter, so we just scrapped it and bought a new table from the hardware store.

Now, a year later, the chairs (which were also stored inside) have numerous rust spots. Very poor quality!

I purchased a Martha Stewart Outdoor Patio set and not even a year from the purchase date the set started to rust. The instructions recommended waxing the furniture with automobile polish and I complete their instructions.

This set was kept underneath a patio cover. This was a big waste of money.

I purchased the Martha Stuart patio bar and stool set and three seat swing set from K-Mart which cost nearly $600. Within one year the bar set and the swing began to rust. I tried touching up the rust with the touch-up paint included with the sets and the paint turned out to be a totally different color than the set itself. Now the set is so rusted I can't even touch it up to cover it anymore.

In 2002 I bought a table, 5 chairs and an umbrella from the Victorian collection thinking that Martha only chose top of the line items to produce in her name. The furniture was stored outside but covered when not in use (regardless of the weather conditions). The umbrella even had a cover for it.

The fabric on the cushions and umbrella fell apart like tissue paper and I have had trouble finding repacement cushions. After reading all the complaints I realize I was not at fault. I might as well have left it out to rot anyway!

I was shopping for replacement cushions for my Martha Stewart Victoria Set, as I have been for two years now. I had no idea the problems people were having with this furniture. My furniture has cracked and rusted, cushions are split and faded and the umbrella is unusable because all the pins that hold the umbrella up have bent or fallen out.

This is the third summer I have used the set and it is stored in my garage for winter. Fortunately I still have the glass top, but for how long?

I have was given the Martha Stewart Victoria patio set a few years back. The set has five chairs with cushions and a table. My father bought the umbrella to complete the set.

As I have loved the set for years, it is falling apart with rust and the cushions are completely useless from shredding. I can't replace the cushions because there aren't any replacements and you can't put just any cushion on them because of the specific size of the chair.

This set cost several hundred dollars and I am now dealing with rusting chairs and table; shredded cushions that can't be replaced and a table top that could spontaneously shatter at any moment.

I am another consumer who purchased a whole outdoor set in the summer of 2004. When setting up for the 2005 season, the umbrella spokes snapped and broke. Call after call (we were still under the 1-year warranty) were to no avail. I tracked down the supplier, sent pictures, etc. etc....nothing was done!

About a week after the snapped spoke situation, our oblong glass table top shattered. Also, the brand new seat cushions that came with our chairs are ripped. To top it off the set has rust spots all over!

Mind you, these have been taken care of very well! They have been cleaned and stored during the winter months.

Martha Stewart Everyday 8-inch omelet pan. One of the rivets exploded while I was cooking an egg. Whizzed past my face and almost hit one of my dogs about 7 feet away. Luckily, nobody was injured - but it was so fast, I didn't even see it (and I was looking right at the pan) - just felt the force of explosion and something fly past my face. Simultaneously, my dog jumped up in surprise.

It went at the force of a bullet and if anyone had been in its way - there would have been a substantial injury. It appears to me (and I'm not an engineer) that the rivet heads are hollow. I would imagine that the air inside gets superheated with nowhere to go, hence the explosion. What I am left with is half of the rivet (still holding the handle to the pan) and half of the rivet sheered off laterally. Like two halves of a clamshell. I have already spoken to the Consumer Safety people and have filed a report. Tomorrow, I am bringing the pan to Kmart (where I purchased it) to show them. I hope to be able to head off any injuries to other consumers and I appreciate your help in this effort.
