Buckwood Communications

Jacqueline of Charlottesville VA writes (4/12/01):
I was hired to recruit readers for the Psychic Network through the bookstore called Buckwood Communications. After I started working there I found things not to be right. First they would hold my paycheck without warning. When asked why I was told I didn't add enough people that week. I never signed anything to agree to add so many people a week nor was I told this when hired. So after I asked questions then came an email stating we had to add so many each week.

Then they changed the pay scales for the people that were recruited and were reading, then they were supposed to pay for addresses and names that the readers collected; they stopped that. So I decided that the job was not worth the hassle. I quit. I wrote an email to my manager and told her I would be leaving the company as of April 1st. She sent this to Beth M on March 19th. She stopped my checks as of that date. Even after giving her proof I did not quit until April 1st. She still refuses to have my pay sent to me.

It is not a lot of money to anyone but me. I am a widow raising a son 10. Plus I try to be a very honest person and I worked hard for them and gave them my best. I am just tired of seeing people with money take advantage and step on people that don't. I have been through enough in the last three years to last me a lifetime and this was just the straw that did it.
