I paid $6300 to have this Prodogy Law Group, Inc. firm assist me in a loan re-modification with my mortgage bank JP Chase Mortgage. I spoke with many individuals probably at least 12 including Mr. Gary **, the attorney with the Prodogy Law Group firm. I was told that if for what ever reason a deal breaker could not be made, I would have plenty of time to file a "short sale." I signed all documents they had requested for me to sign so they could work on my behalf after I made payment to them in full. Communication seemed to be working well with agreement contracting in June until September 30, 2009.
In mean time, Chase mortgage called and recognized this law firm was assisting me and therefore they the law firm would alert me as the restructure get moving along. November 1st came and I had not received any communication during that month. End of November I phoned the Law Firm with no return call, the e-mails were all returning back to me as "undeliverable." I began to panic. End of November, I phoned Chase Mortgage, and they assured me not to worry that my file with in Re-modification / finance area and that there was a notice on my file that the Prodogy Law Firm was working on my behalf, not to worry.
December 29th, 2009, I drove to southern California and stopped in at the Law firm in Irvine. I went to that office to find out that I was not allowed to go to the 7th floor as I would need a pass code. I phoned their office and was literally put on hold for 45 minutes until finally I was connected to an individual which we both realized we were both clients of Prodogy Law Firm and we both had a pending case since June and July 2009, and we were waiting to hear back from them. I clearly knew at this point this Law Firm was a farse! Upon my return home, I contacted Chase, they said they would be returning my phone call.
January 26th, a private investor arrived at my home at 4:00 p.m. with his business card and told my husband that we had 3 days to vacate our home as we no longer were owners of our property. The Sonoma County put my home out for bid and they bought it that afternoon. I was literally in shock! The following morning I phoned Chase Mortgage and learned that this was in fact true, the home sold and supposedly this was the 3rd time it went to bid. That the law firm who "was working on my behalf" received all paperwork of what and where and when this process would be concluded. There was nothing Chase could do as supposedly they did their part and totally denied my modification request.
The down side of all this is that the Prodogy Law Firm was suppose to give me notice alerting me that the bank was not going to budge so I would have time to do a short sale. Now just last week, March 8th, another attorney with Prodogy Law Firm phoned me to tell me that Chase would not work with them and that I should consider filing suite against Chase. I told the individual how interesting as his Law Firm stopped all communication with me since November 1st with all e-mails being returned to me as stated "undeliverable". The man said he didn't understand and he would check into this. Today is March 17, 2010, I have yet to receive a phone call from anyone.
