Joseph of La Verne, CA December 16, 2008 Joseph of La Verne CA (12/16/08) Russell of Sarasota, FL December 16, 2008 Russell of Sarasota FL (12/16/08) One of the clients was referred in July, 2008 and one was referred in August, 2008. I was told that the referral fees would take 60 days to receive. Every time I called I would get the run around about my rebate. I finally called and said if I did not get my rebate credited to my account I was not sending my payment in and canceling my account. They did not credit my account and sent me an overdue notice. I am currently in the process of getting a new provider. I am sure they are going to bill me for breach of my two year contract. I will not pay this and will fight them. I know this could damage my credit but someone has to fight back. The reason i started looking for a place to fight back is that I was on the phone with customer service this evening and trying to resolve my rebate issues. The staff at Verizon works until 6:00 PM. EST. and at 5:57 the lady I was speaking to put me on hold. I finally hung up at 6:38 pm. I knew she had gone home and purposely left me on hold but I stayed on hold to see if anyone would pick up the call. Dawn of Columbia, MD December 2, 2008 Dawn of Columbia MD (12/02/08) I did receive the gift card at the end of June. The card states no expiration on the back so, I decided that I would save it for a purchase at Christmas time. I spent an hour and half at Circuit City on 11/28 and when I got to the register I was told the card had not been activated by Verizon. I called Verizon and was told that I needed to call Harte Hanke the company that handled the promotion for Verizon on when their office reopened on Monday, 12/1. I called on Monday but the phone number Verizon game me was a fax number. So I spent another hour trying to reach Verizon to no avail. I kept either set on hold for over a half hour and had to hang up or I got tossed around by their phone system. I finally reached Harte Hankes and they referred me to Verizon's Residential Customer Redemption center: 866-335-4301. They advised me that they did not handle the Circuit City offer. I called Verizon Redemption Center and spoke with Kimmie. She told me that they would need to do research for the card I was sent and check to make sure the card had not been used. I was told this research would take two weeks. I told her that I felt two weeks was unacceptable. She offered no other alternatives and was short. I asked if I could speak to a manager. I was told that I could not but one would call me back within 24 hours. I seriously doubt I will receive a call back.
