Don of Sheridan, IN July 24, 2007

Don Graham of Sheridan IN (07/24/07)
I canceled my PeoplePC internet service the end of April 2005 via phone and e-mail. Over 2 years later the monthly charge is still being auto-billed from my checking account. I have called many, many times over the last 2 years+ and only been successful in talking to someone a few times. I've been on-hold as long as 3 hours before my call is answered by someone!!!! Each time I have been able to speak to someone I've been told the service has been canceled and that I would be contacted by another PeoplePC person to discuss getting a refund; I've never been contacted and monthly fees continued to be collected. May & June 2007 I insisted on talking to someone about the receiving a refund rather than someonecalling me later. Both times I was put on-hold for almost 1 hour before the line disconnected. *Both times I was assured the account was canceled before being put on-hold with adventual Hang-Up by their system. PeoplePC based on my experience provided poor service when I used it and they seem to be above the law in literally stealing money from ex-customers. Don Graham

Loss of 16.50 a month for over 2 years that I haven't used the service nor even had their software on any home computer The monthly theft from my account continues; July 2007 monthly fee has already been stolen from my account.

I am furious at the thought of knowing I have requested my services be cancelled, but yet and still I have been charged monthly for almost a year. The Supervisors are unprofessional, hardly speaks english.

John of Fort Lauderdale, FL May 7, 2007

John of Fort Lauderdale FL (05/07/07)
Upon receipt of a CD I received in the mail from People PC Online, I called the 1-800# to get further information. In regards to the billing aspect, I was told it would be cheaper to purchase a yearly agreement for the price of 80. It sounded reasonable so I accepted and had it charged to my credit card. Less than two weeks after I accepted the offer, I had several problems and contacted Technical Support. The instructions did not work, and then my computer, which was an older model, died.

Since I no longer had a computer, and I did not need the service any longer, I called the 1-800# in an attempt to get my money reimbursed and to cancel the service. I was told that was impossible. I argued with the person on the other end of the phone because I wanted my money back. No contract was signed, it was an oral agreement, how could it be impossible?

Out of frustration, I hung up the phone and gave in. I was not aware they DID NOT cancel the service until I received my credit card bill a year later and saw a charge for 9.95 from them. When I ordered the service, my Bank card number was different, I do not save old statements so I didn't even know what that card number was. My bank automatically sent me a re-issued card with a totally different number. Each time I called People PC to try and cancel, they want to know the last four digits of the card number I used when I purchased the agreement.

For the past three months I have been charged 9.95 and it will continue because I can't stop it. So far I have invested 109.85 for a service I don't have. Not only do I want these charges stopped, I want the service cancelled once and for all, and I want the original 80 refunded to me, and the 29.85 that has been charged to my card thus far refunded.

I was charged for internet service, 24 jan 2007, I never ordered any internet service with this company. I have service with Orange bropadband, cable internet services. I have disputed and nothing so far, as even the bank has sided with Peoplepc. I feel they are constantly slamming customers, their account services handle by individuals in the Phillipines, and always some excuse, but no positive results. I would like to be a member of any clas action. This company must stop, as I have others also saying they were ripped off by this company. I originally ordered internet service from peoplepc, 29 April 06, and paid in advance 93.84, and never used, it took until Jan 23 07, to get my refund from them, and then 24 Jan 07, they charged me 89.55 for service, I have not received. Nothing from them, just this billing.

Cody of Edenton, NC February 27, 2007

Cody of Edenton NC (02/27/07)

I called in Nov of 2006 and cancelled the services, however I have been billed each month as if I never canceled. This has caused overdrafts on banking account.
