Classmates Joins Netzero, Juno
NetZero, Juno Merge into United Online

NetZero and Juno tried to make it as free Internet providers but the implosion of Internet advertising put a quick end to that. They then struggled along, trying to provide cheap Internet service. Now they're merged (see story)into something called United Online and are struggling along trying to provide not-quite-so-cheap Internet service under both brand names. Along the way, a few customers have gotten burned. See below.

I have cancelled my acct. in 7/08,they keep takeing money from my checking.Everytime I call , they first say I haven't cancelled , then say I haven't paid. There sorry and they won't take anymore money , after asking to speak w/mgr. which I didn't get to do. hopefully this time it stops.

I am on a fixed income of disability, when they take money from my acct. and I'm under the impression it;s there. Well lets just say I've had to pay a few bounce fee's for thinking I had it in the bank , when they had actually taken it.

I started my internet service with this company back in December 27,2007. I'm still currently with this terrible internet company. Service has been terrible and all the times I have called in to speak to a CSR they always have gotten smart me. Also I have had to call in several times to order new disks which never operated right.

It's not my computer because my computer is brand new. Their cheap defective disks are the problem. Everytime I went online it would keep me online for a couple a seconds then kick me off. Everytime I would have to use the disk to restart the program which is sick. All the money I have paid to this internet company is a waste of my hard earned money. Every time I called back in to speak to a CSR I would get the same response we will send you a new disk which never helped me at all. I'm very disappointed with the service I have with this company.

The economic damage it caused I lost alot of my hard earned money for terrible service with this company and still i'm having terrible service with this company.

Ordered net zero, after approx. 3 hours, service was cut off. Svce ordered on or about 6/05/08. On or about6/08/08 called and canceled svce. Next bill charged to credit card. Called again, still couldn't understand what was said. Sounds like a ripoff to me. Someone should check them out.

I'm being charged for a svce that I'm not getting, and I sure as heck dont want it! They have the gal to charge credit card.

I cancelled my netzero services Sept.17,2007, the rep tried to convince me to keep services but I declined. I found out thru a balance inquiry that I had overdraft fees d/t netzero debiting my account thru further investigation with assist from my bank I realized they have been going into my account since Oct,2007 taking 4.95 and if it wasn't for the overdrafts this created they would still be taking money out.

When i had netzero my payments were 14.95 due the 26th of every month. Netzero admitted that the 4.95 was for backup services which i declined when cancelling the service. They stated it was a misunderstanding on the representatives part, but I don't see how because my exact words were No! No!

These last transactions created (2) overdrafts 32.00 ea. = 64.00. We know now we should have monitored our accounts more carefully. Netzero agreed to credit our account for 49.50 but said the overdraft fees were between me and my bank. This is was bank fraud, I never gave permission to debit my account after Sept.17,o7

I switched to AT&T internet, Stopped using Net Zero. A month later I cancel my draft to Net Zero. No longer used it. 4 months later I get a letter from United Online Collections Division informing my account for 10.99 was in collections and to pay at once. Net Zero never billed me, contacted me by phone or called me. They have my phone number. How can they just send it to a collections agency and never try to collect it.

Damage to my credit
