Classmates Joins Netzero, Juno
NetZero, Juno Merge into United Online

NetZero and Juno tried to make it as free Internet providers but the implosion of Internet advertising put a quick end to that. They then struggled along, trying to provide cheap Internet service. Now they're merged (see story)into something called United Online and are struggling along trying to provide not-quite-so-cheap Internet service under both brand names. Along the way, a few customers have gotten burned. See below.

I signed up for internet service from Netzero one year ago. I have been paying since that time and I have never been able to instal the soft ware or to make a connection on line. I have no number to call to request help or to get my money back.

I am stressed out about the lack of service. I have spent money but I have not received any service.

Abdul of Chino Hills, CA November 2, 2008

Abdul of Chino Hills CA (11/02/08)
i signed up for internet provider on may 2008, then after a one week i cancelled my account because it didn't work, and they told me it won't be any charges because they have 30 days guaranteed, but on october 2008 i received a statement they charged me for the month of september.

icalled to find out what and why they charge me for- althoug i don't have any account with'm which i don't have and never used which is really cheating and rip-off to the public and they should held accountable.

paid the fee and ask again to cancelevery thing with them.

John of Retsil, WA October 29, 2008

John of Retsil WA (10/29/08)
The deal I got with NetZero was: 1st 3 months @ 7.47, then 9.95 per month thereafter. What happened, I believe, was that I was charged the 7.47 times three plus the 9.95 on my first bill, June 12, 2008.
