I was with Liberty of America, but they were sold to ChoiceHost. I want to transfer my domain out of this company, but their contact phone number is in Canada. However, their office is located in the US, unbelievable. So I first logged onto their website to see if there is a way to make the transfer. All the instruction were provided. Just give them my domain name and password through their support email and they will send me the authorization code within 48 hours. I did that 2 times and waited and waited for more than a week. I decided to give them a call and they said they would give me the code within 48 hours. So I waited some more. Then, I sent them another email to follow-up with everything that had happened and guess what? I decided not to wait anymore and to go ahead and file this complaint. I hope they get their act together. I will give them another 48 hours to see if they do send me the release. If they don't, I will find every way possible to post my complaint about them so it will affect their business.

I received an e-mail from ChoiceHost.com stating that they had purchased the accounts from Liberty Names of America. I had paid my account for my domain names and my web hosting to Liberty Names of America. I received an email from Choice Host stating that I needed to pay for my Papadoro.com, .net, .org and my web hosting in the sum of $160 to be sent to Chicago, Illinois. They told me that they never received the check. Then they told me that I had paid for my .com through to June 5, 2012 and I needed to send them another check in the sum of $130. This was done. Again, I was told that they did not receive my check. I spoke with Madison in Chicago and requested that I speak to someone on accounting. She told me that I had to email Sam whose real name is Samantha, which I did. I have never received a response as of this date March 1, 2012.
Again, I contacted Madison in Chicago asking for the corporate office address and who was the CEO. She advised me that she did not have that information as they were not given that information. I then contacted the RCMP who have opened a case. I was promised by Choice Host that I would receive the release of the domain names and my website within 48 hours which was on Feb 28, 2012 via email. Today, I called Choice Host in Toronto, Canada and spoke to Emily at 10:47 am, who advised me that I would receive the release sometime today. At 2:15 pm PST, I called the Toronto number again and was advise that the office was closed. They are open between 10 am - 6 pm EST. My call was at 5:20 pm EST. I have volumes of emails and notes regarding this fraud. I would like to see it stopped. I also would like to have an attorney call me as I am a senior citizen. My age is 78 years young.
They are a webhosting company (choicehost.com). I formerly hosted my website with Liberty Names of America. Four weeks ago, Choice Host said they have taken over my account which I have paid for 4 years now. However, my website is not up and this has been a recurring problem for 6 months when I was with Liberty Names of America.
When I called Choice Host, I talked to the exact same lady from Liberty Names of America. I have called her 4 times now at the new company and they have yet to do anything to the new website. The information I have on the site is priceless and I paid for them to have backup capability so I never saved it on my computer. I want to sue them to give me the files and/or simply post the website. I know the two companies have the same people working and I am getting scammed out of this. I would gladly pay in the hundreds of dollars to get my site back.
I feel like they have stolen more than just my files. This is my intellectual property and they are supposed to do 2 things of which they haven't done either: 1. store my files 2. host my website to a server so others can look at my site (which is a pretty obvious thing to do if you are a company that hosts websites). I can't sell my book or educate the public about wildlife. This is my life and business. There are no monetary values for all of the work I have put into this website which they won't let me access.
