Got a letter saying I owed for aol account I do not have and have never had, I have free aol e-mail only. It says past due and that my service is turned off, I don't have any service. They ask for credit card info etc., don't show any e-mail address to contact, only snail mail and phone number.

This is second one, I haven't checked my credit rating, its bad anyway, but these guys are assholes! Where do they even get any of this info? Its a very pushy and demanding letter and its caused MUCH psychological distress, I thought it might be a phishing scam.

Back in October 2007, I first noticed that AOLs wrong billings had a really bad affect on status of my bank account. I first complained about this in February 2008 and March 2008. Between February 2005 and July 2006, I was on a contract to receive AOL Anytime dial up for 15.99 per month. This was later reduced to 11.99 to be charged once per month (a single monthly charged). No other services have ever been sign up by me.

This contracted was later cancelled in July 2006. Since 2006 I received broadband service from another provider Orange. Between 22/02/2005 and 01/04/2008 the following billings from AOL have occurred Billed 59 times at 15.99 equals 943.41. Billed 9 times at 11.99 equals 107.91. Incurred penalty charges after being billed by AOL 8 times at 10.00 equals 80.

When this problem was highlighted in 2006, AOL failed to cancel this or solve the problem. I cancelled back in July 2006 for the fact I was being doubled charged. Have informed AOL by e-mails and letters for over two years and have only received two letters from AOL.

I have no option by to go to small claims court. I read your report entitled Class Action Accuses AOL of Double-Billing Scheme, I would like to read detail accout of the particulars of the claim and maybe AOL defendence - to help me write my claims.

Instead of being charges the monthly fee of 11.99 I was overbilled on my credit card three months in a row. The billing amount was 109.00, 109.00 and 100.00. with no explanation.

My personal credit card account was charge three over the limit fees for the excessive overbilling.

I was promised a refund of 18.99 to my visa debit card for charges taken out of my account prematurly. I did recieve that refund but I was also told that I would recieve a refund of the 35.00 nsf charge on my account because of the overdraft this first charge caused. all I was to do was to fax proof of the overdraft charge which I did do. I was told that yes this would be refunded to me. I recieved an email telling me the information was recieved and the credit would be made. But now they say they are not going to Refund that charge.

I will have to cover the nsf charge to my bank account.

i have never had an account with these people and somehow they obtained my cc# and are charging me 26.00 a month. I have called them several times (they cannot find an account in my name) i have written to their billing office and have not gotten a response. I checked out the web site on my cc statement and found it full of complaints just like mine. can no one do anything about this company.

i cannot afford for them to steal that money from me each month so far they owe me 180.00
