Brady of Dickson TN (10/03/08)
I have tried numerous of time to cancel my AOL membership. The people I talk to tell me I have to cancel online. Why cant I over the phone? Last month my bank records had 3 different places where aol had taken out money. 2 for 25.90 and 1 for 77.70. This was for the month of Sep.08. For the month of Oct.08 they have charged me twice. Both in the amount of 25.90. I only have one membership. Why are they charging me twice a month? And they told me that the charge of 77.70 was late carges. How is it late? It is taken out of my account...Please Help I really want to cancel my membership.

It feels like I'm getting robbed.

AOL began double billing us from february 24,2006 when I received a new computer and signed that new computer up for membership with aol. On september 2008 I noticed the double billing and contacted the supervisor at aol--Alvin in which he acknowledged that account had never been accessed.  I spoke with Alvin who would not divulge his last name. I waited over 90 minutes to speak with a supervisor who stated the company policy was to only reimburse for the last 90 days. So in essence for 2-1/2 years I was paying for a service I never received.

23.90 monthly from February 2006-September 2008 approximately 715.

AOL has been Double sometimes Tripling our monthly charges. If we change our Credit Card number they find the new one. I have called on Several Occasions to try and resolve this and you can not get an answer or anyone to help you. Each time you call you think it is finally taken care of and then no changes are made. I have called at least 6 times over the past two plus years to try and get credited for the past charges but no one seems to have authority to do that. I can never get a Supervisor or Manager on the phone, I am told that they are always busy. We would like to Cancel AOL all together and go to a different Browser but my husband is worried that we will never get our money back.

AOL owes us a Credit of over 2,500.00. This is a business visa that is literally draining us. We have other business to conduct on this card. I have written down some names and service numbers of the employees that I have spoken to but this does no good. Please help me with a contact person to file a Major Complaint with.
