My truck was stolen on 01/30/2009 and recover 6 days later.I filed a police report with Detroit Police Dept. as we suppose to do. I had to wake my wife out of bed to pick me at 12 midnight just get to the police station and home. From the day i report it to State Farm about the incident i was a criminal and not a victim anymore. The questions were very offensive.

I was threatend with 15 years jail time for fraud.I was called a thief and a lier.I was drilled by their lawyers make fun and was accussed of knowing the area the truck was recovered in Detroit.I felt i was Blackmail and tell them the answers that they want to hear they where going to get it from my wife by telling her about my extramarital affairs.

They where rude don't return phone calls it was like a lack of communication.I took them from 01/30/09 to 04/07/09 to tell us because of our policy they have the right to deny our claim but yet they still having me pays insurance on my truck. It's ashame when you pay insurance to take care of you and you family and in the end they what they want to with no regrets.

Everett of Aztec, NM April 7, 2009

I went into a local state farm office to get a quote to see how much it would be to add a child and his car onto my policy. he had insuance before with state farm and let it laspe. I was going to see how much it would increase my insurance if I added him to my policy. It was 200 + to add him to the insurance.

I told the agent not to add him I and told me to take him to a high risk company and I did. They still added him to my account. They said that it was because he used our address when he lived with us. He is over 18 and I am not responsable for this boy. I feel that I should get a credit or my money back. This kid does NOT drive my cars

they cause be to be late paying other bills on time am on a fixed income

Amanda Bell/ Leanhart of Des Moines, IA April 2, 2009

My families been with State Farm for at least 20 years! I'm making a complaint on my auto claim operations center in Des Moines, IA. On January 4,2009 my vehicle was involved in a hit in run in Altoona in Payless Shoe parking lot I had coverage on my car! So I contacted my insurance agent told her what happened said that they would take care of it? Couple of weeks had gone by and I wasn't hearing anything from State Farm. I went to my State Farm location to make a payment and asked about it? State Farm didn't even make the claim!

Insurance agent made a error on my date of collision, I called specifically told the agent to call the claims operations center about the mistake on the date due to claims representation contacting me stating the incorrect date! State Farm evidently didn't communicate with the claim operations center to the claim representative with the mistake! Spoke with the claim representative was very rude to me, it was like she was making accusations that supposively I stated which wasn't true to say they wouldn't cover my loss! Claim representative had no sympathy about anything just was wanting to argue and be unprofessional to me about the claim!

Claim representative stated on a voice mail that they would need a receipt from Payless on the day of the incident? I didn't purchase anything while I was there. Called claim rep back stated that I didn't purchase anything at Payless! Claim rep disagreed with me and stated that I supposivly told her twice that I had a receipt to cover the date of the loss!! Which is false! So they are saying that they aren't going to cover my loss when I had coverage just because I don't have a receipt! I really need help to get something resolved with my insurance company on paying for my loss my car is unsafe to be driving and isn't insurance companies all about safety!

Estimated damage 2,043.42

Theresa of Cheektowaga, NY March 30, 2009

I was rear-ended by a state farm client. I was rushed through the entire process and harassed through the entire process.I was called every day I had the rented car which was three days total. They did not want to provide the rented car for the time needed. There estimate guy did not show up until friday at 4:30. They expected me to take there word for it

I was made to feel like I was the one that ran into someone

Doug of Mount Pleasant, SC March 25, 2009

My Truck was damaged in a accident. When I picked up the truck the wheel bearing had a funny noise. When I took the truck back they refused to pay for the repair.

Katherine of White Cloud, MI March 22, 2009

I filed a complaint in the State of Michigan against State Farm due to their increasing my auto rates every month. I am still awaiting the response. In retaliation for filing this complaint, and in seeking another auto insurance company with lower rates after being with State for 40 years, never missing my payment, even states on all my bills we appreciate the way you consistently pay your account In retaliation for me filing against State Farm, my inquiry resulted in Choice point providing adverse information about me. I filed bankruptcy in 2005, have had my identity stolen 3 times, and today I dicovered Choice point covers not only State Farm but my home insurance Safeco who this year fraudulently raised my home insurance for my home stating my home value is 146,000.00 when in actuality my home value based on a Market Value report of 2-7-07 for 45,000 and assessed valuation for 21,600 for 2008

I live on limited social security disability income and State Farm, Choice Point, and Safeco is preventing me from lower insurance rates, by their fraudulent actions and Discrimatory practice. I have rebuilt my credit with 10 positive on my Credit report. I never authorized anyone to release anything to Choice Point my privacy has been violated. In addition all of a sudden, my annual credit report shows a bill that is not mine, placed on my credit report from February 2005, that this company placed on credit report showing collection on October 2008.

Number one this is not by bill, number 2, in checking with my physicans and checking my medical records I was never referred to this negative. number 3 I filed under the old bankruptcy law on October 14, 2005, this negative report should not even be there even if it was mine and it is not. So not only did they violate the truth in lending law, but bankruptcy law and the final law that was broken was failure to report in 2 years law that my doctors office advised me about. I NEVER GAVE ANYONE PERMISSION TO SHARE ANY FINANCIAL INFORMATION ABOUT ME. My own bank has me with a credit score of 800. THESE COMPANIES ARE CONSPIRING TO COMMIT FRAUD AND DISCRIMINATION BY THEIR PRACTICES.

Marc of Ottawa, ON March 20, 2009

First off my insurance was cancelled due to non payment. Now, buying insurance, is almost impossible, they sell you a policy for each item so your house, car, motorcycle are three separate policies and they sell you an umbrella that you pay an extra 30 dollars a month for. They say it's to make it one policy. This was one payment a month not three separate payments than when you get cancelled you have three cancelled policies which now also means I went from a 10 star driver, no claims or tickets and was faithful 10 years plus. I made one mistake and you end up a 2 star driver so if you can't pay due to uncontrollable circumstances you are not physically capable of driving anymore. I am 42 years old and now have to look for someone to insure a 2 star driver good luck, after working so hard to get good rates.

The result is that i paid for an umbrella to put it all together and when i call for insurance they see on there monitor that i have been canceled 3 times costs me three times as much. I guess state farm could use the money more than us blue collar workers. They only made 5.5 billion in profit last year.

Justin of Brooklyn, NY March 18, 2009

I had a policy with State Farm (Car Insurance over 1 year. Auto Insurance, just liability. 1993 Mazda 626ES. I have had this policy for a while & have asked State Farm to lower the payments for a car over 15 years of age. Just liability. But when I asked them for lower monthly payments they refused. I have no accidents, no DWI, & they refused to lower the payments, until I just stop paying them. This insurance lapse game ties ones hand & I want to do something about it before my license gets suspended.

Andre of Belle Harbor, NY March 12, 2009

She quoted: house, flood and 2 cars. Then I had to call back to confirm. She then informed me that they would not insure my house and increased the quote on my cars..( after of course charging my amx card) I had cancelled my policies with other insurance companies. I then had to call back the other insurance companies to reinstate my polices. Very frustrating and time consuming!

Only the time lost: about 5 hours.

Monnicia of Baton Rouge, LA March 7, 2009

state farm has been really good to me. my rates are the lowest around and i have 100 comprehensive and 250 collison. anytime i file a claim they are there for me...i would trade them for nothing and there staff is really nice. i have been with them since 2001(florida blvd location). i cant speak on the other locations but florida blvd has the nicest employees. so those in baton rouge, la with complaints, instead of switching insurance companies try switching locations.. so like a good neighbor...state is there(for me and mine) thanks state farm
