I was involved in an accident with on of their insured. The accident was ruled their insured's fault. It took over 2 months just for them to settle on my truck despite it not meeting their percentage requirement they insisted on totaling my truck and gave me way less than I had in the vehicle. Since then I have not heard a single word from the adjuster.

This is continuing to cost me initially I lost one new contract (towing) since I was unable to work without a wrecker. It also cost me a fortune in lost wages/income and continues to cost me in co-payments, doctors and physical therapy cost for my wife, who has not worked since the accident.

We're still in negotiations of getting my car insurance (5 cars) when all of sudden I ended up having charges on my credit card of 473.06. I never had accepted the offer but Imaze keep saying I will push it for approval by the underwriter so it will lower my homeowner's insurance which I apllied May 1st. 2009. Since then we're dicussing this matter almost everyday and I still disagree because his representative by the name of G. Johal was emailing me different figures I cannot agree with, so I cancelled before they could charge me I believed May 5th. Then they would be calling again and lower down more for me and convince me to fax with my signature proof of my application.

When they sent their final quotes the figure are sort of just manipulated like lowering the other car and putting it into another car and the other coverage are missing like medical coverage. In short I immediately cancelled everything with them even the homeowner insurance. I said I will be better off with my former insurance company. And nobody mentioned that they have charged my credit card until I got the receipt in the email.

I carried State Farm auto insurance for 30 years with no claims and no tickets. After moving to Alaska to work for two years and coming back to Oklahoma, my rates doubled over what I previously paid and exceeded my premiums in Alaska. Now, Alaska is notorious for being expensive and I received a litiny of excuses from State Farm, but the bottom line remains very clear. After 30 years, they do not want me as a customer anymore. I confirmed my suspicion by talking to other family members whose rates did not increase by over 5% during the time we were gone, yet I can get cheaper rates for the same coverages from different companies with whom I've never had insurance. I'm not mad at State Farm, but definitely disappointed.

My car was broken into 12/23/09 while on my work parking lot (work says they are not liable). My back passenger glass was smashed in. I had to have the window replaced and ended up having to have the door repaired and painted also due to deep scratches by the glass. My claim was honored, our rental was honored--no problems with the repairs at all. However, a few weeks later our agent informed us that my husband and I have had too many claims over the past 5yrs (I thought they only used 3yrs), most of our claims were comprehensive not collision. My husband had 1 collision claim and that was 4yrs ago. Our agent informed us that they should have caught it sooner, so they could warn us that we were getting too many claims; but did not.

So, instead of dropping us completely, we were forced into a high risk category. This category made our cost go down;but, we now have 1000 deductible on comprehensive and collision! That is ridiculous. I have been a State Farm customer for 13yrs! I think it is outrageous, why have insurance if we are going to have a 1000 deductible. We were informed that we would have to keep this deductible for 3 to 5yrs.

It makes you scared to death to drive your car because your worried someone might smash your car in a parking lot, hit a deer, or wreck due to weather. If any of those things happened, we could not afford 1000, most people can't afford that. I do not feel I should be held liable for 1000 deductible on comprehensive claims--especially ones I have no control over like the breaking and entering of my car in a parking lot or disrespectful people who can't seem to NOT hit my car in the parking lot.

I haven't been with State Farm very long, but my father has had them since 1968.. We live in the same household. I never received a 2nd bill from them after signing up, I received a termination notice giving me 10 days to pay.. I went to the office and paid it right away. I'm a courier, and my company requires proof of my insurance in order to let me work, and they keep my information on file.

When my policy came up again last week, it was my MANAGER who told me that it was due to expire. Once again, I had not received my bill from State Farm. I called my agent, and he told me- "People tell me all the time that they don't get their bills", as if to accuse me of lying. Well, this outraged me. I informed him that if so many people are telling you they're not receiving their bills, perhaps you should look into it, because it is a problem.

I changed my policy to month to month billing and made my first deposit on the new policy, and I told them I would need a declaration page printed for my employer. What they sent my employer was a sheet with my NAME, deductibles, and expiration date WRITTEN IN BY HAND. I again went to the office and informed them that this was unsatisfactory, and they told me it was as good as they could do because I had just switched to monthly payments and was still showing a balance due. They told me a new declaration page should be in the mail. I'll believe it when I see it. I'm switching to Progressive.

I included name of my son on my auto insurance as secondary driver. He got 10 KM over trafic ticket and the company tremendously increased my auto insurance. I requested the company to exclude his name from my insurance as I was unable to pay the amount of increased premium. They excluded the name but they increased my insurenc as well. I contacted other insurance company for better quote and the company asked for the experience certificate for my son so he could get the discount but when I contacted the State farm, they refused to give any certificate saying it is not companys policy.

The problem is I dont have any proof as the name of my son is not visible any where, neither on the policy that I have it nor on the system. Now my complaint is. 1) Why my insurance premium is increased even after exclusion of the secondary driver? 2) How come stae Farm is refusing to give a letter showing dates my son was included and excluded on my insurance. 3) Do my son dont have a right to show his one year experience as secondary driver with me and get discounted rate? 4) Why his name is not appearing any where as secondary driver? Thanks,

Barbara of Phoenix, AZ April 17, 2009

I was involved in a motorcycle accident and have perament damage to the toes on my right foot and the claims adjuster is insulting me we an offer of 14,000 when this is something I will have to live with for the remainder of my life!

I am a ballet instructor and no longer will be able to dance because of the damage my foot sustained. This was a good income that I will no longer be to have...so with all the constant pain and suffering I will endure. what then?

Teresa of Lanoka Harbor, NJ April 15, 2009

On 2.14.09, my daughter arrived home from work at 9:30pm (Valentines Day). After she parked her car on the street, which is acceptable, she was standing between her car door and her car gathering her things, her puppy, her purse, and her roses, a car came up the street. This other driver did not have his lights on and he hit my daughters car door head on, nearly hitting my daughter and her puppy. She was so distraught and hysterical.

She called me immediately and was so upset by what could have just happened to her. Long story short, State Farm Insurance Company (the other drivers insurance) is claiming that my daughter is 100% at fault. Not that the other driver did not have his lights on, received a summons for no proof of insurance. They are stating that she opened her door into oncoming traffic. That is not the case.

The police clearly states that my daughter was out of her car 1-2 minutes prior to the collision and that the other driver did not have his head lights on. I just don't get it. Also, the inside door panel of my daughters car has a reflector tape on it that the other driver would have seen, if his lights were on! Thank fully my daughter is safe and unharmed, but why is this her fault?

1510.00 damage to my daughters car plus storage fees

Nina of Des Plaines, IL April 15, 2009

The side of my vehicle was hit at a four way stop by their insured. The car was able to get back home, but was not safe to drive. The officer who arrived on the scene wrote their insured a ticket, and on the police report stated clearly that she hit me, and that the approximate cause of this could only be by failure her failure to yield. (I was going westbound, she was going south, I had to completely cross over the northbound lane of traffic before she hit me.) I had done everything in my power to prevent the accident i.e. horned. She told me that she was denying liability because her insured told her that we arrived at the stop at the same time, and that I had made a recorded statement(Please keep in mind I speak three languages, and english is not my first) also that she told me that if I did not make the recorded statement I would be violating my duty to cooperate and she would have grounds to terminate my claim without further investigation.

I was left without a vehicle through the winter (we live in Chicago) including christmas. I have four children. Yosvany (2 years old) with a serious congenital condition who was unable to attend vital doctors appointments due to the lack of a vehicle and unable to take public transportation due to severe weather, a three week old baby (at the time of the accident) and a five, and seven year old children who missed so much school (we were not eligible for free bus services) that they are now in mandatory preventative tutoring classes, my husband was forced to take a taxi to and from work for a month and a half(50.00 per day) until in late February we were able to save up for a car. Also, as a result I was unable to return to work after my maternity leave, and consequently lost my job.

Shelvy of Crimora, VA April 13, 2009

My grandson recently had an accident. He was at a light and his light turned green. He started out when he saw a car stop at the red light on Rt. 340 in Stuarts Draft, VA. A large truck pulling a trailer cut around the stopped car and hit the front end of my grandson's Jeep and totalled the vehicle. My grandson is covered by Erie Insurance. State Farm sent him a letter stating that they were denying the claim because my grandson was at fault because he could have stopped and avoided the wreck. He had witnesses behind him and State Farm said they were not reliable witnesses since they worked at the same place that my grandson worked.

Now State Farm wants Erie to pay for the repairs to the truck who hit my grandson. The driver of the truck was from NC and told the State Trooper he ran the red light and his insurance would cover the Jeep. He was also charged. My grandson had to pay 500 deductable and my son paid to have the Jeep towed to his house so they could avoid the storage fee. This seems to me to be wrong. Why should my grandson have to pay for anything. Just luckily he was not hit in his door and could have been injured really bad.

My grandson had to pay 500 deductable and my son paid for having the Jeep towed. Also, my grandson's insurance will surely go up in price since his insurance had to pay for his damages.
