Tammy of Hampton, GA June 17, 2009 Had a 1991 Dodge Intrepid, 2004 was declared totaled given 500. In 2009 Pontiac Montana Mini-van rear lift gate was "repaired". After receiving the car rear door would stick just as it did before the claim and we would have to pull it to open it. Had an inspector to by my home, he said that it was the strike plate and it needed to be adjusted. Vanessa of Savannah, GA June 2, 2009 I was hit by a Liberty Mutual customer. She was exiting a primary school parking lot, and I was driving on the narrow two lane road in front of it. All drivers were either stopped or going very slowly, as students were being picked up by parents, or crossing the road with a crossing guard. I honked to let her know she was about to hit me. She did not stop and hit me anyway. She destroyed the passenger side of my car, as she hit the side straight on. After giving me her insurance info, her address and phone number, and after I checked to make sure the three children in her van were ok, she left. I called her insurance company, Liberty Mutual, and began a claim. I then went to the local police station to file a report. The next day, I took my car to the body shop Liberty told me to go to, and got the appraisal. I was told it would probably be a total loss, as the damage was severe. My car is a Volvo, and I kept it is excellent condition. I had to call Liberty Mutual every day for a week, and spoke to many different people. They had not talked to their client, and dragged their feet about getting me a rental car. Finally,an agent in the loss department set up a rental for me and said they would accept liability. Their client had fabricated a total lie about the accident to make it seem that she was parked on the street, and a truck was in her way. How she hit me, she never explained. There is no parking at all on this road, which we pointed out to the agent. I think he realized she wa totally lying. I am still waiting to hear from an adjuster, and have no idea what to. Liberty Mutual is not handling this at all. I am being led on and I am frustrated beyond belief. What on earth is wrong with them? Are they in trouble financially and hoping to delay all expenses, even when their client is 100% at fault? Mary of Waterbury, CT May 18, 2009 On 4/18/09 my boyfriend and I were involved in a accident .We never take a Saturday off but it was really nice out so we decide to take his 02 Road King Motorcycle out for the day when we were not out for more than an hour. A car REAR ENDS us while where moving about 20 -25 miles an hour . the car hit us so hard it caused me to fall off and land about 10 feet from the bike . My boyfriend and I were hurt , I was taken to the hospital right away . But mean time the person that hit us has liberty mutual and gets out of his car and say where did we come from he never saw us . What the hell we were in front of him !!!! We got a lawery right away but we are still fighting to get the bike fixed . and payment for medical and the fact that I or both of us could have been killed . the driver of the car was given a ticket for following to close , that was it . what a joke !!!!! Michelle of Layton, UT May 1, 2009 After 8 years of being a loyal customer to Liberty Mutual, my good driving record and ontime monthly payments were not enough to satisfy this money hungry organization. My premiums were raised this past January by more than 150%. When I called to question how my rates could have gone up after 8 years of having no claims and ontime service I was told that all premiums were raised across the board. When the agent asked me a couple of questions about our vehicles and distance my family drives to work, they raised my premiums even higher. My husband commutes to work is less than 2 miles a day. My commute to work is less than 10 miles a day. After calling around I was able to find better coverage with a different provider for 150 less a month! I feel completely taken advantage of. To top it off, we received an additional bill. We paid our premium in full on the first of the month. Canceled our policy on the 17th of the same month. Shouldn't I get a refund on the excess? Not according to agents with Liberty Mutual. Customer Service representatives were belittling and unwilling to help me understand this bill. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
