Stay away from Atlantis. I have been paying for their Healthy NY because it seemed affordable. Apparently, you get what you pay for. They denied a procedure which I desperately need. There is no customer service skills. The people are about figuring out ways to deny claims and could not care less about the client. I have complaints with the insurance department and the White House. I am following up with the BBB and small claims court. Ultimately, I had to pay out of pocket for the test. As a result, the treatment was delayed for a potentially fatal disease.

they wouln't approve my procedure when 3 other insurance companies in the past did. they gave my doctor's office a real tough time going back and forth with paperwork and calls for over two monthsand finally said they couldn't do anything. they have no problem accepting my employers payments, but i ask you, what are we paying for? this must be a joke. i would tell everyone i know to stay away from Atlantis healthcare-- it seems like more of a scam.
now i have to suffer with my condition because they wouln't approve it. they don't even care. i spoke to several people at the company who just say that's the policy.

I AM A NEW MEMBER OF ATLANTIS HEALTH CARE AND MY INSURANCE PREMIUM WAS DEDUCTED FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT ONCE ON JAN.14 AND AGAIN ON JAN.21. I CALLED ABOUT THIS DOUBLE DEDUCTION OF THE HEALTH CARE PREMIUM AND WAS TOLD THAT ATLANTIS USES A COMPANY CALLED INSURANCE RESOURCES TO COLLECT PREMIUMS AND GIVEN A TELEPHONE NUMBER 914 428 6400 EXT. 105.
I HAVE CALLED OVER 6 TIMES OVER A WEEK AND THIS COMPANY HAS NOT CALLED BACK , NOT EVEN THERE TELEPHONE OPERATOR HAS CALLED BACK. I LEAVE MESSAGE AFTER MESSAGE AND I GET NO REPONSE. MY INSURANCE PREMIUM OF $404 HAS BEEN DEDUCTED TWICE AND I WANT A REFUND,BUT NO ONE CALLS.
I AM OUT $404 AND I CAN'T AFFORD THIS ERROR TO GO ON AND ON.
