Dennis of Hurst TX (12/13/01):
I contacted the Texas Attorney Generals Office which in turn directed me to the Texas Insurance Commission. The Insurance Commission would not help me. I was just on my own. I receive less than 70% of my income from workers comp and the disability was supposed to help pickup some of the difference. I am still disabled and nearly bankrupt because I am unable to continue paying my bills due to my disability. In October, I discontinued paying the premiums on the policy that was no use to me. I feel betrayed by my state and the insurance company that I trust and for paid for 4yrs. Before I filed a claim, they were extremely helpful and now they don't want to know me.
