Heartland Homes

Tiffany of New Boston, MI, writes:
I bought my trailer from Heartland Homes. The deal included the home to be set up in Newport Farms mobile home site. The deal was that for the first year I would pay $50 per month as a buyers incentive for the first year.

When I went to sign the final papers with Newport Farms Park, they said that after all incentives my final payment for one year would be $81.06. I refused to sign because she said that was something that I would have to take up with my sales person.

I went to the Telegraph Road office where they let me sit with my Aunt for one hour. I left without any help. When asked directly if it was or was not $50 a month, no one would say. they would just start telling 'client' stories.

The next day I tried to contact my salesman. Three times i was told that he was out. My aunt called and when he didn't recognize her name, he took the call. He proceeded to chastise my aunt and swear at her. He then asked to speak to my mother, she had been helping me get my home. He then began to yell at my mother saying that he "just couldn't believe" we would be complaining over $26 a month.

It was pointed out that it's over $300 per year and that it wasn't the deal. He kept yelling and complaining that his day off was spent listening to my problems and he was sick of it -- that he gave me great freebees and I should have signed with a smile.

I haven't been able to move in to my home yet. It's going to cost more than I was promised. I am living with my aunt right now until this gets solved.
