Lornitis Custom Homes

Noemi of Palm Bay FL (03/03/06)
Back in March 2005, after visiting a model home from Mr Lornitis company. I set a meeting to discuss a new home building project. Over a 2 hour meeting I went over what I was looking for, and brought photos, and explained in depth what my goal and budget for this project was. I explained at length with Mr Lornitis that I wanted a 4 bedroom home with a bonus room for my parents. As the plan was to have them come live with us. Mr Lornitis told me that he felt they could meet my home building needs, and asked me to give him a $2500 deposit to start working on a preliminary design plan. We agreed to meet in 2 weeks to discuss the plan he came up with.

About 3 weeks after I received a call that the preliminary drawing was ready and that he wanted me to come and see it and discuss any changes. I requested that he send me a copy by mail to review and this way it would be easier when we met. When I received the preliminary drawing it was obvious that Mr Lornitis didn't remember key points of our discussion as to the key elements that needed to be part of the design. At this time he told me that he will goback to the drawing board, and we will plan to meet again in 2 weeks. We met again in 2 weeks and he came up with a drawing that was close to what we were looking for but we just couldn't come to a compromise with various details.

At this point I told Mr Lornitis that it did't look like he was going to be able to meet our needs. I sent him a letter stating that I understood that he had spent some time in this so I was willing to compromise and have him keep $1000 for his time, but I was requesting a refund of $1500 back to me. They never responded to my request.
