Another unbelievable story about an alleged quality builder screwing the buyer by not providing any quality or customer service after the sale. I have a loud, steady, frequently occurring dripping sound from the vent pipe of the gas hot water heater in my home. This is heard several times each day and night and even keeps me from sleeping or wakes me up depending upon the time of the heater firing. The builder and the warranty corp insist this is normal and not warrantable even though they heard it LOUD and clear. I cannot even get the required independent inspector from the warranty corp.
This situation desperately needs to be addressed. If the situation cannot be remedied I want the builder to exchange my gas hot water heater for an electric unit that will not use the vent pipe making all the noise. Additionally, there is a horrible seam in the carpet in the CENTER of the main family room which their sub has tried to patch 3 times rather than replaciing an entire portion of the carpet as should be done without question in a home costing $700k.
The lawn is patchy at best and looks like crab grass but my inquiry to both the builder and warranty company again fell on deaf ears. I was supposed to report non-germanated seed within 30 days. Of what? If they hadn't germinated in 30 days, and now it's 90 and they're still not germinated, isn't that indicative of the problem being just as bad if not worse? This has been the worst experience of my life.
