We bougt a Fleetwood large double wide 8 years ago - This was going to be where we were to raise our new family. Nothing bt problems from day 1 - when they delivered it they let it set for serversl days in the bad weather before setting it up - we was not in the home a couple of months and the ceilings began to bow - they came out to fix them and that lasted abot 1 year bowed again , then the wash room floor started sinking and leaning , the kids hallway is now sinking and the kitchen floor has recently began to bow up ,

This was supposed to be a great experience to own a home but this has been a nightmare - I am so imbaressed to have family over. We are hard working people with 2 small children just trying to make it in the world and all I ask is for some help to make this home safe for my children - I am so afraid that the floors are going to fall in or the ceiling will fall on us - Please can someone help.

All my pipes broke in my home recently and ruined my flooring and I cannot recall exactly, but I believe I remember a recall on certain mobile home plumbing pipes. These pipes were like a toy hose and not pvc pipe. Very costly and I wonder if a government reimbursement is in order.

My washroom and both bathrooms and applicances are ruined. I am a single person and widowed and have had a heart attack worrying about this. So there has not been excesive use

Elizabeth of Citrus Springs, FL September 8, 2008

Elizabeth of Citrus Springs FL (09/08/08)
My husband and I bought a brand new manufactured Fleetwood homes in a town close to us in Fl. After it was setup we had people come out to fix some problems one of them being our floor in our kitchen was slanting they said oh it is just settling they then were supposed to fix the installation underneath the home. They duct taped it and went on their way!

One year after owning our home we called Fleetwood because our floors started to cave in, in the main bathroom, closet and laundry room they told us there was nothing they could do about it because our warranty was up. We told them that we had it inspected and found out that the shower faucets were not put on properly and the duct work was not fixed properly so the moisture from both areas and the leaking of the faucets from the inside panel took all this time to warp the floors. They did nothing for us.

Now my kitchen floors are caving in too. We spent alot of money to fix the bathroom, closet and laundry room out of pocket and now we have to fix the kitchen and we have no money left. We then found as we were fixing the bathroom that the studs in the walls were 1x3's instead of 2x4's that we were told it was made of so we had to drywall the walls. That costed even more money out of pocket!

The physical damage of all of this is all my floors are sinking in on a 2 1/2 year old home. There was mold in all the floors when they got ripped up so that had to be fixed also. Guaranteed there is mold under the kitchen floors. My floors in my kitchen are sinking in and working it's way into the livingroom and the side of the house that the children's bathroom and bedrooms are. All the insulation was put in wrong and that is why the condensation is running through the floors throughout the home. Please help us if possible with any information thank you.
