C&D Associates

Hillsboro, NJ

valign="top"> Terry of Hillsboro writes:
I purchased a townhouse after the home inspection was complete and found out a few months later that there was a non-stop leak in the downstairs bathroom that created extremely high water bills.

Elizabethtown Water Company demanded payment of these bills and I feel that with a home inspection charge of $165.00, this situation should've never arisen. I am now out $650.00 and I feel that I should be reimbursed by the home inspection business since this problem should have been addressed before purchasing the townhouse.

Terry should read the contract he signed with C&D. It probably specifically exempts them from this type of liability. On the other hand, if he has enough time and energy, he could go to Small Claims Court and try to recover.
