Val of Loxahatchee, FL October 6, 2009 Our Whirlpool Cabrio washer/dryer have been nothing but headaches. The dryer has been unusually noisy fom the start. It has been looked at 3 times and nothing can be done about the noise. When people are over and they hear the dryer, they always comment on it. The washer just had to have the computer board replaced for 375.00 and now the RPS sensor is bad. We have wasted time and money on this washer/dryer. We have had to go without washing clothes until they can be repaired. We have had to take time off of work for the repair visit. Only certain models are recalled even though all of the machines are doing the same thing. It's not fair. We bought these in good faith, spent a lot of money on them, and have been sold a defective product. Whirlpool need to make this right. Paul of Grandview, MO October 5, 2009 My washer that is only two years old shuts down with an F1 error code. Researching on the internet, I found many have the same issues. The repairs are very costly and Whirlpool will not stand by the product leaving consumer stranded. Since mine is out of warranty, they said to bad. Their should be a recall on the product. Repairs of up to 500. on a very new machine Janet of Darien, WI October 4, 2009 I purchased my Duet Washer & Dryer Last Feb. The washer I got didn't work right out of the box. It was replaced with a different washer. I took out a 5 year extended warranty. I just payed off the loan on Thursday and on Friday the machine stopped working. It comes up with a Sud and F35 code. I have been told it is a analog pressure switch. The repair man came out a week later and didn't have the part so he had to order it. Okay another week has gone by and still no part. I called the warranty place and was told the part was approved but no one could tell me when the part would be shipped to the repair shop. I payed alot of money for this set and after one year the second washer is not working. This is criminal. Not just one lemon but two? No one seems to care how long you have to be without the washer. Once they have your money they could care less. You shouldn't have to wait one two three or more weeks for your product to be fixed. maggie of wantagh, NY October 2, 2009 ordered a propeller part from whirlpool. couple months ago, I finally got someone to come to replace. The inside of the new part has no sprokets. The part is defective and whirl pool will not reimburse me (80.00) and not even send me a new one. Out 80.00 paid 75 to service person. I have a service contract with them for my washer. They don't care Holmes of Palm Springs, CA September 28, 2009 We purchased Whirlpool Duet washer & dryer in 2008. Colored clothes are dull and white clothes are GREY. Called Whirlpool customer service at 8--253-1301 and she said, "I don't know why this is happening." No help at all. In addition, the Duet dryer doesn't get clothes dry enough and we have to run them extra time. We will NEVER purchase a Whirlpool again. Russell of dracut, MA September 28, 2009 I have a whirlpool duet GHW9400SUO washer, up to the last three months i started having problems / 1st white towels & everything else light colors turning brown had no idear what was going on / 2nd some of the towels and others rips & tears on them / 3rd now i am getting a code FH & TH this is to mutch. I paid a lot of money this washer when i could bought a top load for 200 that would of lasted at lease 5 years & still could of sold it for 100 5 years later. i took out a 1 year warrented on it but i was not paying anymore money on this, its a ripoff. My water bill has doubled & i pay 25.00 more a month on my electric bill now, i have to stand by to reset the washer every 2 to 3 minutes to get a load done. Jane of Hernando, FL September 27, 2009 Clothes do not get clean. Dryer leaves clothes and linens wrinkled. Dryer does not dry thoroughly. These are consistent problems and I just want to register my experience with these products. Would not buy them again. Do not recommend them to my friends. Lori of Philadelphia, PA September 20, 2009 I purchased the Cabrio front load washer and dryer on 10/27/06. Never had a problem until a strange code started showing up on my washer. I did some research and found that there was a defect in certain washers. I called amongst the many consumers affected by the "recall" only to be told that my washer was not one of the serial numbers affected. To be courteous they agreed to pay for parts and I will pay for labor and service charges of a company under contract with them. I agreed. Upon more research and the thousands of complaints I found that individuals with my series were offered FULL repairs. I called back only to get a song and dance about how they were doing me a service. I paid over 1400 for this set...it should not be breaking down on a family of only three. They would not or could not tell mw why consumers were not notified of this "glitch". They felt it was our duty to contact them. The service tech NEVER showed up at my home. I am still waiting for the next appointment. I will NEVER buy their products again as they dont do damage control and just think consumers have money to fix an almost thousand dollar faulty machine. John of Carthage, TX September 10, 2009 I have a Cabrio by Whirlpool washing machine that has been repaired twice for the same problem which is stopping in mid-cylce and shutting down. dnisperly of hiram, GA September 5, 2009 cabrio washer, model #wtw6600sw generates f1 fault code for past month when starting the washer. machine was purchased in april of 2007. i must push the pause cancel button then start button to get the washer to function. this machine is costing me money in that when it does wash the cycles are continously using water and not cycling off as it should Report Your Experience
