We purchased a Whirlpool oven in 2006. This year, the gas valve went out, making the oven useless. We had if fixed to the tune of about 190, however, a 3 year old product should not go bad!

I purchased a Maytag gas range approx 6 years ago. A few months ago I began smelling gas as the high output burner was lit. I smelt it a few times and I stopped using that burner. I used the other 3 burners. So after a few months not using that burner, I decided to try in. I lit it and put some water to boil, I went to the bathroom and back in about 5 minutes, my house was smelt of natural gas. I immediately turned off the stove and opened all the windows for the house to air out of the gas smelt. I tried another I saw flames coming from under the seal of one of the burners. I immediately turned that one off.

I phoned the gas company to check out the unit. They came and determined the unit is not safe to use. I contact Sears; they said the unit is not under any warranty. I contact the Customer service for Maytag, which is Whirlpool. I contacted Eva 866-. She arranged for WinServ tech to check out the Range. The Tech came and inspected the unit. He determined three of the burners were burnt out and corroded. There were corroded holes in the burners which were allowing gas to escape. Which I think this is clearly an inferior product which was used in producing such a product with could be catastrophic.

Eva has agreed to repair the product, however, after I waited two weeks, which is the timeframe I was told by WinServ - it would take to get the part. I phone WinServ around the 10th day to check on the schedule for the service - I was informed that Whirlpool is not going to pay for the repair. I was very upset by such news to hear that a large company who made a defective product cannot repair the unit.

I had to spend 1500 for a new range. I could not cook for three weeks. I waited for two weeks before I was told Whirlpool will not repair the unit. I waited another week to resarch another and ordered a new unit.

I bought my range 01/21/08, so I've only had it for 14 months... The back digital panel has exploded...The Large front eye quit working...Then the stove stopped working...So if your gonna buy from Whril Pool make sure you purchase the EXTENDED WARRANTY PLAN... because you're gonna need it. So now my stove works when it wsnts to... And when it does work i'm scared to death to use it...But they can't replace my stove for these reasons... I payed 578.00... They keep paying someone to come fix it... Wheres the Logic.

When we built our new home we purchased a new Whirlpool convection double oven RBS307PD this was 1998. In Dec 1999 the oven went into self cleaning mode while we were made Holiday treats. The only way to stop it was to turn off the breakers. After some trying Whirlpool finally did the repairs and all I paid was for a service call. Then in Dec 2008 the oven shows a code of E2 F2 E2. I have gone to an appliance parts business only to find out the control boards are no longer available and there are no substitutes. After only ten years my expensive ovens must be replaced and there is no way to repair them. I'll never my Whirlpool again.

We have a Whirlpool Stove model #wfg231lvqo. We were using the oven, and my 9 month old son stuck his hand in the HUGE gap between the oven door and the broiler drawer. We knew it would be hot but not that hot, it burnt the top of his hand from his knuckles on the back side of his had to the middle knuckle on his middle finger, all of his fingers tips are also blistered as well as the side of his pinkie finger down to the palm. My husband was also able to stick all of his fingers to his knuckles as well. The entire bottom side of the oven door and the top of the broiler drawer were hot enough to burn. If it gets this hot, how are you supposed to use the broiler?

I am so upset that there is that big of a gap, a 1" gap to be exact. which is way to much even for people who don not have children. I knew it was there when we bought the stove but never would have guessed it could or would get that hot!! In my opinion the insulation through out the entire stove is very inadequate, the entire stove gets way hotter than any stove I have ever been around. A recall should be in order! My Son was badly burnt on his hand I have pics of his hand and would be more than happy to email them to anyone.

We purchased a Whirlpool Gold electric range Model GFE461LVQ0, Serial RW4210943 In Dec. 2008. It is certainly a poor design with 2 large front burners and small ones that are difficult to reach when having big kettles on to cook. We started with having problems with the way it baked and the fact you couldn't push in the timer to get more than seconds at a time.The first repairman broke the timer loose and said I should expect a longer heating time and to allow about 10 minutes after the temperature showed the temp to be where I had set it.

Then, the first time I ran the oven cleaner it leaked smoke out the vent and turned to top oven plate a burned brown which I could not remove and the oven glass door leaked smoke between the layers made brown stripes on the glass and turned the glass a greenish color. The repairman relaced the door gasket, replaced the glass in the oven door and replaced the door trim. The fan hits something and makes a terrible noise and now the repairman is ordering a new fan housing. All this happening before even one year. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK

Fortunately, we have a service contract with Home Tech and they are the store where we purchased it.

Oven door locked with food cooking inside, had to shut off breaker to get it to go off or would have burnt down our house. Whirlpool sent local repairman (Deegans Appliance) to repair twice now to no effect. Stated parts to repair were backordered for two months now.

Danger of oven fire burning house down. No oven for Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter.
