Purchased a Whirlpool Accubake range GW395LEPQ00. When baking oven switches from bake to broil. Had part replaced that gauges temperature twice, replaced touch panel and motherboard. Oven still goes from 325 to 575 degrees setting off my smoke detectors. I have had three repair men out to fix the oven and the last one told me that there is nothing left to replace. I am afraid this range is going to burn down my home. Range makes clicking sound like it is trying to ignite but sometimes you open the door and it's cold inside. I have to use a thermometer just to bake anything in this oven. I shouldn't have to sit and watch through the window just to make sure it doesn't start on fire. I have received not response from Whirlpool.

This range has ruined a wedding cake and other numerous items. Fire hazzard. Numerous complaints regarding same oven.

I purchased a glass top stove at Sears in Burlington, NJ. In April of this year I noticed that when the oven was in use, steam or smoke was coming from the vent leaving a big burnt permanent stain on the control panael as well as an oily liquid on the stove stop. ( pictures available) Told Whirlpool that this was a safety Issue because if one of the burners had been on it could of caught fire. There are permanent discolorations on the glass top stove which according to the 2-5 year warranty, should not occur. Whirlpool guarantees no discolorations on the glass top.

Warranty states that it will be repalaced if this happens. Company has refused to honor the warranty. have since found out that there have been problems with this model Whirlpool Microwave also is problematic. After two years the door started to get cracks in it. the door handle broke off due to the cracks in the the door.

A permanent big burnt stain on the control panel of the stove as well as liquid and oil on the glasstop stove when oven is in use. Unable to use oven and stove top at the same time for fear of burner catching fire due to oil coming from the vent.

Saturady 11-01-08 my mother put on chicken broth to fix dinner and her stove, Whirlpool Model # RF365PXMW---1, Serial # RS3737115, literally melted the bottom of the pan, totally soldering it to the burner. When the fire was put out, luckily no one was seriously hurt, we lifted the pan and there was no bottom at all. The stove is less than or right at 3 years old.

We assumed, as these are major items, that they are built to last, however, we were told there is no warranty so we are left with a mess, no stove and damages to the home and the cost to fix and replace it all. It makes me sick, considering the way the economy is. There is just not enough attention to quality for these companies. Just a profit margin. And they to add insult to injury, they are not held accountable for faulty products.

It is just sad, as an individual, we would certianly be held responsible if it had been us to cause such havoc to another person.

There was the stove of course, the hood, the cabinets above, the sink where the pan was put to try to get it out of the way. Smoke and fire damage, minor, to the ceiling. My mother and brother went to the hosp. for smoke inhalation. Re: ambulance, fire comapny, 1st responders all came. the clean up, which was through out the house from the fire extingisher.

Built-in Whirlpool oven, Model #RBS275, Installed 11-7-03 Cost 859.72 inc. tax. Basic oven, self-cleaning feature. Self-cleaned approx 4x in first year and a half. Self-cleaning is automatically set at 3 hrs. 30 min., but can be lowered to 2 hrs. 30 min. or raised to 4 hrs. 30 min. Oven was self-cleaned 12-20-04--set time 3 hrs. 30 min. Wouldn't heat Xmas Eve 12-24-04. Called electrician and wiring was fine. Appliance repairman came, diagnosis: it had overheated during cleaning and needed new magnetron (thermofuse). New one found in back of oven, it was repaired 1-2-05 so only labor and service charge, 79.

1-7-06 cleaned oven again, set time 2 hrs. 30 min.; that evening oven wouldn't heat again. New magnetron ordered and installed 2-23-06. Oven worked but new blower was needed. It came 3-7-08 but was wrong size. New blower ordered, installed 3-29 and also installed new control panel which workmen had damaged accidentally when they'd removed oven 3-7-06. Charge: 172.35. No charge for control panel.
Wrote Whirlpool re this, received phone call saying nothing could be done as warranty had expired. All satisfactory for two years.

1-5-08 cleaned oven again. Set time 3 hrs., 30 min. Again oven went out. Also control panel. All replaced 1-22-08. Cost 355.04 Again I wrote Whirlpool and again same response: no warranty. 9-23-08, cleaned oven. Set time 2 hrs. 30 min. Tried to heat oven two days later, again no heat. FOUR times since purchase we've had this same problem in oven less than 5 years old. Total we've spent: 666.39. Phoned Whirlpool last week and Supervisor I'd asked for in Customer Service Dept. finally offered me 30% credit toward new Whirlpool oven. This oven we have now is a lemon and 30% is not acceptable, in our opinion.

Hours and days of being inconvenienced by not having an oven. We don't use oven a lot, we're each now 84 yrs. old. Oven doesn't get very dirty. I have documentations and bills re the above. Thank you.

Purchased a Whirlpool Gold Accubake gas range. After a few weeks the oven would not light. Repair replaced control panel. Then the oven began to overheat and would not shut off. I had to pull unit out to reach gas valve. I called Whirlpool and complained this was a fire hazard and they agreed to replace the range with a new one.

New one came and guess what? After a few weeks it too began to overheat. Control panel was replaced but oven continues to act eratically and never keeps correct temperature. Whirlpool offered to repair but I requested a refund because I do not trust this unit in my home. They refused. I also filed a complaint with the U.S. Product Safety Commission with no result.
