On February 18, 2005 we contracted with the above company to replace our shingled roof with new Timberline 40 year architectural shingles in weathered wood to the tune of just over $11,000. I begged them to use Ice and Water Shield as a base however they said they could not do that as it would void the Timberline Warranty. They said they provide a 20 year Peace of Mind Ltd. Warranty. Well, last winter (2008--3 1/2 years after installation) we had water intrusion in 8 rooms due to ice dam backup. Home Depot takes no responsibilitiy even though their representative indicated that he is trying to get them to change their mind on the use of Ice and Water Shield. Why? Well because no way would water have penetrated through that product under any conditions. Do Not Waste Your Time and Money on a new roof installed by THD At-Home Services, Inc. You will most definitely incur problems down the road that will not be covered by their Peace of Mind Warranty.
