Joanne of Burkeville, VA, writes:
Business above installed a sunroom for us. Several repairs needed to be made and the room itself leaks when it rains or snows. In January we actually had one foot of snow in our room. The carpet and subfloor have been affected as well.

They ordered a new window which took about 2-3 months. It came in and they sent someone out to fix it who did not know how. They told my husband that someone else would have to come and no one has shown up. That has been over three months ago.

The room is new and under warranty. They will not return my phone calls or make any effort to repair these items for us. They also promised that if we sent business their way and the customers actually purchased rooms, we would receive $50. We referred a number of customers (before we had all of these issues), and have not been compensated.

As a result, we cannot use our sunroom for four seasons as the name indicates. We spent a large amount of money for something that is less than functional and want it fixed. It has been very stressful dealing with this company, and I feel that I am being ignored and treated unfairly. I have made numerous long distance phone calls at my own experience but have not had any progress.

We hope Joanne has a contract that spells out what the company was supposed to do and that she has a written warranty. If so, Small Claims Court is probably the best solution, assuming the damages don't exceed the Small Claims limit in which case Joanne needs to find a lawyer.
