I have a sliding door which is leaking very badly. It has caused damaged to my floor and basement ceiling tiles. I have tried to contact Republic Windows with no answer. I now found out they went belly up.

I had all new lifetime warranteed Republic windows installed on my home in Joplin, MO. in the spring of 2006. I need warranty work, but no one will touch it since Republic windows has gone out of bussiness. The seal in the main picture window has failed causing moisture and dirt to get in between the glass. Also the caulking has been collecting dirt and falling off.
I purchased Republic Windows for my entire house 8/30/2008 with a Lifetime Warranty--and now, the company has apparently gone bankrupt. Per the latest news articles: Republic Windows CEO charged in plot to loot the company. After Republic Windows and Doors abruptly shuttered its North Side plant last winter, the Former Republic Windows and Doors President Goes to Jail.
I am wondering if there is some class action suit that is or will be taking place against this President of Republic Windows and Doors. I currently have a problem with one of my windows and have been left hung out to dry by Republic with no way to fix or replace it and the cost to do so will be all my responsibility.
