McBride Plumbing
Cedar Hill, MO

Nancy of Cedar Hill, MO, writes:

I was charged $698 for a 2 hour job, $100 was in parts.  Plumber would not leave until I paid him cash. Banks were closed, I have no ATM card.

Gave him all my cash $47, wrote a check dated that day for $350, wrote a second postdated check for $300 (the later check I stopped payment on), waiting to see if he has the nerve to turn it over to prosecuting attorney office.

I will not pay $300 an hour for a plumber.

He had me make the checks payable to his assistant. He is 63 and this money would affect his Social Security.

He called my work and told my boss to have me pay him his money. I will ask  my boss to document this. I am a federal  employee, I should not be bothered at work , nor should my boss.

When Carl McB was at my house he highly offended me by asking personal questions, such as how many men do I work with, are any boyfriends, I am such  a pretty young thing, I need a big strong man to do these home repairs for me.

The demeanor he used toward me was very highly offensive. I did not invite  him in my house to offend me, only to do a plumbing job. I am very angry and  somewhat scared.

Nancy could just wait and see what Mr. McB does.  If he has the nerve to sue her, the court would determine a fair price for McB's services.  Not likely that price would be $300 per hour.  Plumbers aren't that hard to find.
