Even though the doors to the refrigerator (Model LFX25960) were closed, the interior lights remained on all night. In the morning the food was warm and, more importantly, the plastic cover had melted. The part had to come from OVERSEAS! About 6 weeks later the new part was installed. Also, the doors to this refrigerator close with difficulty. I would NEVER by and LG product again because of this experience.

Purchased LG French Door refrigerator March 06. Within 6 months of purchase had problem with error code FF and not cooling. Called LG, was told to unplug unit for 24hrs. Talk about incovenient! Come to find out that water freezes up around fan motor creating a problem. After unit was out of warranty, lights stayed on, melting plastic assembly loose from mounting screws. Removed bulbs and reinstalled temp. unit back into place using larger washers on screws. Then the door latch on top of rt. door broke off. Continual problem with icing up of blower motor, noisey from ice build up and have to use hairdryer on back wall of freezer to quiet unit down. This also seems to cure getting a failure code and no cooling. Appears that moisture from ice maker may be a cause, and might need a shield to keep it from splashing back there.

Lost food several times due to failure codes and no warning! Melted light/temp. fixture.

Worst piece of equipment I have ever purchased. Paid 3 times more for this french door unit over what a regular fridge would have cost.Would never purchase any LG anything, and will warn everyone to do the same.

We purchased our LG Refrigerator model # LFC25760SW from Home Depot in 8-2006. It is about 2 years old and this morning I noticed a burning odor coming from the top portion of the unit. Called customer service and they gave me two phone #'s for repair companies. After research on the net, I found the lights in our unit were not turning off when unit doors where closed. This apparently is a common problem with this particular model that LG has refused to acknowledge or correct. The light sockets were scorched so we removed the light bulbs in both upper and lower areas and unit appears to be cooling at this time with no more burning smell. Unfortunately we can not see anything in our refrigerator!!

I was lucky enough to catch this problem before damage or fire. Thank God I was home!!

We bought our LG Refrigirator (model LFC21760ST)in April 2007 from Home Depot. Last week we have discovered problem with lights - similar problem which a lot of other consumers had. The plastic in temp control unit was burned and melted. The whole unit got detached from the top of the fridge, leaving all wires exposed. I called LG yesterday and was told to fax them purchase receipt. Hope to hear from them but do not believe that my problem will be solved. Also, a LOT of plasic parts are broken, so I need to replace them. Very poor quality of the product.

I had bought a refrigator from home depot, with the promice that I would recieve a 500.00 rebate from LG electronics. I turned in all necessary recipts and have coppies. They in turn sent me a resubmission notice wich I then re-submitted all my recipts again. They(LG)inc. have all my necessary serial numbers and have repeatedly tried to tell me that they havent recieved such information. I even registered my refrigator on line on 1-10 08. this was purchaced on 10-17-07and the model number is (LCS 27950ST).

I was told in march that they have recieved all my information and they assured me my rebate was on it's way. After checking thirteen weeks (that's how long they said it would take to process my rebate), they had another story for me.I called them on November 7 over a year since I bought my refrigator. They now tell me I'ts past the validation period. I feel ripped off!!! I submitted all my paper work on time and even resubmitted it to them twice as requested. It is definately not my fault that a year has passed and still no rebate. I've looked on line and found out I'm not the only person that LG inc has tried to renig on. Please can you help me??? thank you

Have not recieved my rebate after a year of run-around.
