Me and my wife puchased a LG French door refrigerator with the Ice maker and water dispenser in October 2006. The unit worked fine for a couple of months and then the ice maker started making noises and finally stopped working, it was under warranty so we called and had it repaired. I was a sceptical about it being fixed (due to the noises I kept hearing). Sure enough, 3 months later it quit again. Me and my wife will never purchase another LG product. I won't even waste my time calling LG. Were done. LG - Life is good as long as you don't want ice.

We have a LG french door refrigerator model # LFX25960ST. About a month ago we had a burning smell from inside the fridge. Repair man indicated there was nothing wrong. Today we discovered that the bulbs were staying on when the door was shut and that the cover had melted. Strong burning smell was back. Luckily we have an extended warrenty.

This has probably also been the cause of our milk not reaching expiration date.

Have an LG Refrigerator, Model LSC26905TT, which we purchased around 2 years ago from Home Depot. When the frig was less than 13 months old, the icemaker stopped working properly. The tube with the water would pour into the tray, but the mechanism that holds the tray would pour the water out into the ice bin and all over the back of the freezer, pouring water all over the frozen foods and making an icy mess. I called LG to lodge a complaint, to no avail. They said (a person from another country) that since I did not have an extended warranty and the original warranty expired after 12 months, they could not do anything. I explained that it was JUST over the 12 month time period, but they said sorry.

I called LG approximately 5 more times to see if this icemaker was being recalled or if they would send out a repairman, to no avail. We have turned off the icemaker and just make ice with trays manually. Today (11-19-08) I went on the LG website to see if anything new had occurred with the frig, then went to Consumer Affairs and noticed that there must be 100 complaints on the LG icemakers, etc. I then called LG again to see if there was anything they could do. Their response was again, sorry. I have since called a repairman to come to the house to install a new icemaker.

They approximate the cost to be anywhere from 200 to 350.00 - something that I am very upset about, since this is a matter that could have been corrected months ago. The mess the ice has incurred and the time to clean up this mess each time is inexcusable. I will NEVER purchase another LG appliance as long as I live. I am going to have my frig repaired by an independent repairman so that I can enjoy the holidays with plenty of ice! However, once this frig bites the dust for good, I will consider purchasing an American Made Refrigerator! Thank you!

Have not been able to use the icemaker for the entire spring, summer and fall months. Have to make ice by using ice cube trays manually. Have lost frozen food due to the amount of water that poured over the food and froze. This happened not once, not twice, but approximately 15 times. Have lost time because of the clean up involved with this freezer and the ice mess.

Purchased an LG Model4LRBC22544ST BOTTOM FREEZER REFRIGERATOR 12/31/05. On 11.16.08 unit stopped cooling (very warm in fridge part) and got FF errors. Water dispenser never has worked properly. Do not buy products from LG!!!

Lost 200 plus dollars worth of food and unit still doesn't work. Will probably have to purchase a new refrigerator.

When the refridgerator was a year old, the motor in the freezer went out. They fixed that. Now the light switch will not go off. It melted the fixture & all the things in the fridge, butter, etc. It was 80 degrees inside!! Also, water somehow leaks on the freezer, & freezes in the bottom. We will never buy a LG product again.
