We purchased 5 LG appliances in October of 2007 just over 1 year ago. With in 1 month our Washer broke the complete motor had to be replaced which took LG 5 weeks to complete. 2 months later the heater in the Dry went and it took 3 weeks to have that replaced. May of 2008 our Stainless Steel frige caught on fire. For 3 weeks we had no fridge. It was finaly replaced in June and true to form with LG within 3 months the fridge was again broken.

Aug 2008 the complete computer was gone we had no ice and no water and our lights were flickering. Extremely upset I demanded a replacement. I was advise that due to the first replacement my warranty was voided. I contacted the Better Business Breau which after 3 months I finally got a replacement. November 2008 i recieved my replacement LG French Door Stainless Steel Fridge with Ice & Water on the door.

I once again have no Ice. LG refused to assist me in any way. I had to go to the company that I purchased from (Leons) and they allowed me to complete a reselection. I of Course did NOT choose LG I went with Maytag. I will NEVER again purchase ANY LG Brand it was extremely frustrating dealing with their cusomer service. the escalation team did not follow up and the follow up team did not either. Management was no better as I placed 11 phone calls to the Manager all of which were unanswered. the only way I recieved anything was by involving the BBB STAY AWAY from this brand it is not worth the price you pay.

I purchased a new side by side LG refrigerator approximately 1 year ago. Within months I was finding that the frozen items in the freezer were covered by ice that had formed all over the freezer compartment because the ice maker was not working correctly. When I looked for similar problems with LG ice makers and freezers. Eventually, and I don't know if it is related, the side of the freezer door developed a huge crack. I thought this was a high end product only to find that the quality control and customer followup are seemingly non-existant.

Purchase of a new replacement refrigerator 2200

LG French Door model LFX25960TT Ser. No. 605KRPV00152 Purchased 07/01/2006

Heard popping sound while eating breakfast on Sunday morning, 12/07/2008. Couldn't place the source, but when sound occured again, we thought it came from the fridge. I opened the door and biscuit dough was all over the interior. When I touched the dough it was hot to the touch. At the same time, I noticed smoke and smelled burning plastic.

The light fixture in the roof of the fridge was melting and smoking. Plastic containers of food on the top shelf were also melting. I could not move the fridge quickly to get to the plug (another appliance in the way). I resorted to using oven mits to remove the light bulbs. Once the bulbs were out, the plastic hardened in place, leave a weird sculpture in the middle of the darkened fridge.

Attempt to contact LG for a service complaint were very frustrating. My wife says she spent up to an hour on the phone, either on hold or attempting to communicate with non-english speaking technicians. It took several tries, but she never got the techs to fully understand (Your light burned out? You must replace bulb.)A second call resulted in an appointment for service, but weeks away. LG would not consider re-imbursement for food and would not consider moving up appointment.

This appliance has had multiple failures: circuit boards, ice-maker, etc. This is the second time we have lost food. In this case, if we had not been home, there would have likely been severe consequences, including the possible loss of our home to a preventable fire.

My wife wants another fridge, since we travel quite a bit and feel this appliance represents a risk to our home and property.

We believe this defect represents a significant and ongoing safety hazard that LG refuses to acknowledge. The defect is both in engineering (poor design) and materials (non-rated fixture subject to heat damage and fire).

Online searches indicate this problem has been know about for some time.

Burned hand (1st degree. No treatment needed.) Loss of 200+ in food.

I purchased an LG refrigerator in October of 2007. Sept of 2008 I noticed a loud noise coming from the icebox, sounded like a helicopter. I called LG and they sent a technician over to repair it since it was still under warranty. My fiance was home while the man fixed the unit. The noise stopped for a few months and then it started again. This time I called LG and requested a new refrigerator. LG told me it is their policy to send someone and fix it. I tried to explain that it didn't work the first time they tried to fix it and now I wanted a new one. Finally they talked me into haveing someone come fix the fridge for the 2nd time.

I took off of work to watch him this time. This tech removed icemaker and back wall and pulled out 2 large blocks of ice from behind the fridge. They were the size of footballs. He said the problem was fixed. Well a month later the helicopter was back. I removed the ice this time from the back of the fridge which stopped the noise for the time being. I called LG and they stated that there is nothing they could do about it because I tried to make a repair on the unit myself and because it is out of warranty. The problem started while the unit was under warranty and it is a continous event, not a new problem.

LG does not care about it's customers and does not stand behind their product. Basically I have to do like everyone else and take it on the chin while LG makes millions off of people like us. I would never buy or recomend any LG product to anyone ever again.

Loss of 1600+ while we will have to buy a new refrigerator.

Bought the LG refrigerator model LFC25760 in August of 2006. A couple of months ago, the control panel on the 'ceiling' of the fridge was discovered completely melted off and dangling by exposed wires. The whole fridge was quite hot and I believe it could have been a real fire hazard has we not been home to catch it. The doors had been closed, so we had no indication that there might be anything wrong.. they weren't left open or anything.

We lost all the food in the fridge, we have to hold up the control panel with an empty milk carton, and we never know when it's going to happen again ( as it has!)
